Ex spy chief Clapper admits Trump may have been recorded on Manafort wiretap

clapper cnn
Former spy chief James Clapper appeared on CNN with Don Lemon Wednesday to speak about the wiretapping of Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort.

The video begins with Lemon asking Clapper about the stories floating around in the press, Clapper then reiterates what he has said prior about the incident and says he "cannot comment" on the FISA warrant.

Clapper consistently states that he "stands on" what he said back on the 5th of March. Watch Clapper's video from March 5, 2017 below:

Lemon then asks Clapper, "Is it possible the President was picked up in a conversation with Paul Manafort?"

Clapper replies: "It's certainly conceivable . . ."

Lemon: "Is it likely?"

Clapper: "Uh, I can't say. I - uh - wouldn't wanna go there, but I will say, it's possible."

Comment: Clapper is shameless, as are his colleagues. "We weren't spying on Trump's team, we were just accidentally spying on Trump's team." More on the latest to come out on the Manafort "scandal":

Hillary Clinton's "What Happened": Evasions, misleading statements, flat-out lies

Hillary Clinton laughing
She has no idea why many Americans think 'Clintonian' is another way of saying 'dishonest.'

I've suggested that Hillary Clinton's new book, What Happened, would be more accurately titled Why I Should Have Won. But if you wanted to position it as a sequel to her earlier memoir, Living History, you could title it Rewriting History, because What Happened is a recycling bin full of evasions, misleading statements, and flat-out whoppers.

The biggest lie is the one she has told many times before, on her notorious private email server: "As the FBI had confirmed, none of the emails I sent or received was marked as classified." She has said this many times before and been called on it many times before. The verdict? "That's not true," said then-FBI director James Comey. "False," said PolitiFact. The Washington Post's strange fact-checking system initially gave her two Pinocchios, then decided to give her the full four.

On top of the lie, Clinton is being misleading in a familiar Clintonian way, because the law doesn't distinguish between information that is classified by its nature, despite not being marked as such, and information that is marked classified. "Even if information is not marked 'classified' in an email, participants who know or should know that the subject matter is classified are still obligated to protect it," Comey said at his July 5, 2016, press conference. This means that Hillary caused classified information to be removed from secure channels more than 100 times. That's supposed to be a felony if gross negligence is involved, and it certainly appeared to be in her case.

'One Belt, One Road' leads China to increase ties with Afghanistan

It's hardly a surprise that the United State is not the only state to recognize the geopolitical importance of Afghanistan. Among the other nations deeply involved in this Central Asian state is China. Ever since 2011, when the Heart of Asia summit was launched, China has been making every effort to establish better ties with all nations engaged in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Beijing would organize meeting with its regional partners, including Iran, Pakistan and Russia, while working closely with the quadripartite coordination group that consists of Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United States and China itself, as well as the Taliban.

However, over the last three years China has increasingly grown interested in establishing closer ties with Afghanistan more directly. After the withdrawal of the better part of US occupying forces, Beijing sent a group of officials led by Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Kabul. In fact, over the past three years, Beijing would provide more assistance to Afghanistan than it has over the previous thirteen years.

US State Dept. spokeswoman Heather Nauert says US 'strongly opposes' Kurdistan independence vote

As Iraqi Kurds are set to vote on independence from Iraq next week, the US firmly opposes the referendum, a reversal in posture as the US has long supported the Kurds, even to the detriment of US-Turkish relations.

US Department of State spokeswoman Heather Nauert issued a stern statement on Wednesday, urging the Iraqi Kurdistan regional government not to hold a vote for their independence.

"The United States strongly opposes the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government's referendum on independence, planned for September 25," Nauert said. "All of Iraq's neighbors, and virtually the entire international community, also oppose this referendum."

Instead, Nauert urged Kurdish leaders to "accept the alternative" of engaging in negotiations with Baghdad, which would be facilitated by the US, the United Nations (UN) and other partners. She warned that if the referendum is held as planned, "it is highly unlikely that there will be negotiations with Baghdad" and the offer of international support during negotiations would be "foreclosed."

Addressing thousands of supporters at a pro-referendum rally Wednesday, Masoud Barzani, the president of the Kurdistan Region, said that his government was ready and willing to hold "serious and frank dialogue" to resolve disputes with Baghdad following the referendum.

"If resolving the disputes [between Erbil and Baghdad] requires time, we could wait a year or two and then say 'farewell' in a peaceful and brotherly manner," Barzani said, according to Kurdistan 24.

Comment: Authorities of Iraqi Kurdistan are ready to postpone the independence vote scheduled for Monday if the region gets certain political guarantees from Baghdad, Washington and the United Nations, Kifah Sinjari, the media adviser to the president of Iraqi Kurdistan, told Sputnik on Thursday.
"In recent hours, Masoud Barzani, the regional leader, has again proposed to those who demand postponing the referendum to provide a set of guarantees... If these guarantees, taking into account the existing situation in Kurdistanare, are provided, then we will postpone the referendum and on September 25 we will celebrate the achievement of these guarantees," Sinjari said.

The official added that the decision regarding the guarantees should be provided by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi, the incumbent US administration and by the United Nations.

"The list of the demanded guarantees includes such issues as a consent to set another date for the referendum in the near future and respect for its results, the beginning of talks with the Iraqi side on delimitation of borders, the discussion of the issues related to water resources, as well as talks about the disputed territories, including Kirkuk, Sinjar and other lands," Barzani's adviser said.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani's speech at the UN: A clear and calm rebuttal of Trump's hostile message

Iran Rouhani UN
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani
The speech was concise and at times deeply poetic.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has addressed the General Assembly in a short speech that primarily covered Iran's foreign policy outlook, its specifically goals for peace and an unambiguous warning against anyone who seeks to undermine the 2013 JCPOA (aka the Iran nuclear deal).

President Rouhani used the word 'moderation' throughout the speech. He characterised Iran's history, contemporary outlook and policy positions as quintessentially moderate.

After paying tribute to Iranian voters who recently re-elected him as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he then set out to define Iran's definition of moderation in the following way.
"Moderation is the inclination as well as the chosen path of the great Iranian people. Moderation seeks neither isolation nor hegemony. It implies neither indifference nor intransigence. The path of moderation is the path of peace, but a just a inclusive peace; not peace for one nation and war and turmoil for others. Moderation is freedom and democracy, but in an inclusive and comprehensive manner, not purporting to promote freedom in one place while supporting dictators elsewhere. Moderation is the synergy of ideas and not the dance of swords. Finally, the path of moderation nurtures beauty. Deadly weapons exports are not beautiful, rather peace is beautiful.

We in Iran strive to promote peace....we never condone tyranny and always defend the voiceless. We never threaten anyone but we do not tolerate threats from anyone. Our discourse is one of dignity and respect. We are unmoved by threats and intimidation. We believe in dialogue and negotiation based on equal footing and mutual respect".

Hillary worshiper Peter Daou having Twitter tantrum over criticism of his new website Verrit

Hillary Clinton sycophant and flaming garbage pile of a human being, Peter Daou, is having another of his many Twitter meltdowns over the hilarious reaction to his new website, Verrit. After Hillary Clinton tweeted an endorsement of the new site the other night, Berniecrat Twitter went on a hilarious attack spree to mock and ridicule Daou and the site. Daou seems to think this is because people are 'afraid' of Hillary, but the truth is that people probably would leave him alone if he'd stop bashing Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders supporters at every opportunity. In fact, on the same day that Clinton tweeted her support for Verrit, the site had run an inflammatory article that blamed Bernie Sanders for Clinton's inability to beat Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

Given the timing, the move is obviously a calculated ploy to sell more copies of Clinton's forthcoming sh*t pile of a book, What Happened, which leaked excerpts show contains plenty of the expected Bernie-bashing from Clinton herself, or at least her ghostwriter.

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that gives the US broad new powers to sanction individuals, companies and financial institutions that facilitate trade with North Korea.

"I am announcing a new executive order to sign that significantly expands authorities to target individuals, companies, financial institutions that finance and facilitate trade with North Korea," Trump said.

"Our new executive order will cut off sources of revenue that fund North Korea's efforts to develop the deadliest weapons known to humankind," he told reporters.

Pervert Anthony Weiner's pedophilia: It's far worse than you think

Weiner pedophilia
© The Free Thought Project
To make sure that Weiner ends up in jail, the US Attorney for the district of New York has laid out-in gruesome detail-the specifics of his pedophilia.

This week, the prosecution documents were filed and released on the disgraced former Congressman, who was charged with obscene crimes against a minor in a pedophilia scandal that Hillary Clinton names as one of the reasons she lost the election. Anthony Weiner, who was once a strong contender to be the mayor of New York has been exposed, thanks to these newly released court records, as a sicko who needs to be in prison.

Prosecutors filed these documents in Manhattan Federal Court on Wednesday asking that the judge use the sentencing as an opportunity to send a message to other perverted pedophiles.
The Government respectfully submits this memorandum in connection with the sentencing of Anthony Weiner, which is scheduled for September 25, 2017, following his guilty plea to transferring obscene material to a minor. Although the defendant's self-destructive path from United States Congressman to felon is indisputably sad, his crime is serious and his demonstrated need for deterrence is real. The non-custodial sentence that Weiner proposes is simply inadequate; his crime deserves time in prison. For the reasons set forth below, the Government respectfully requests that Court sentence Weiner to a term of imprisonment within the range of 21 to 27 months.
To make sure the judge hands down the maximum sentence for this convicted pedophile, US Attorney for the district of New York, Joon Kim, graphically detailed the scenario in the prosecutor memorandum as it unfolded.

'Unprecedented scale': Samantha Power sought to unmask Americans nearly every working day during 2016

samantha power
Former Obama administration officials are the subject of intense scrutiny in relation to Congress' investigation into 'unmasking' allegations. The Washington Free Beacon's Adam Kredo says Power's 'unmasking' was done on an 'unprecedented' scale. A new report by Fox News states Power sought to unmask Americans nearly every day.

Fox News reports:
Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was 'unmasking' at such a rapid pace in the final months of the Obama administration that she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016 - and even sought information in the days leading up to President Trump's inauguration, multiple sources close to the matter told Fox News.

Two sources, who were not authorized to speak on the record, said the requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One source indicatedthis occurred in the final days of the Obama White House.

The details emerged ahead of an expected appearance by Power next month on Capitol Hill. She is one of several Obama administration officials facing congressional scrutiny for their role in seeking the identities of Trump associates in intelligence reports - but the interest in her actions is particularly high.

Comment: Trump's condemnation of Susan Rice for unmasking aids is the 'tip of the iceberg'

Manafort challenges DOJ to release intercepted calls; demands leaks be investigated

Paul Manafort

Less than 24 hours after CNN triggered the latest outbreak of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' by relaying information from anonymous sources that Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manfort has been under surveillance by the FBI since 2014, Manafort has fired back by calling on the Department of Justice to release all transcripts of his tapped phone calls so that the American public "can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ - there is nothing there." Per the Daily Caller:
Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is calling on the Justice Department to release transcripts of any intercepted communications he may have had with foreigners.

Manafort, a longtime Republican political consultant, also called on the Justice Department's inspector general to investigate the leak of details of secret surveillance warrants obtained by U.S. investigators.

"Mr. Manafort requests that the Department of Justice release any intercepts involving him and any non-Americans so interested parties can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ - there is nothing there," Manafort spokesman Jason Maloni said in a statement.
Manafort's spokesman goes on to demand that the DOJ launch an immediate investigation into who continues to commit federal felonies with reckless abandon by leaking details of confidential FISA warrants to the media.
