Conservative leaders demand US media cover Clinton uranium deal with Russian firm

clinton uranium russia
On Thursday afternoon, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell led a team of a dozen conservative leaders in demanding the major broadcast networks fulfill their "duty to the American public" and end the censorship of the Clinton/Russian uranium deal.

Nearly identical letters were each sent to ABC News President James Goldston, CBS News President David Rhodes, NBC News President Noah Oppenheim.

In each, the leaders demanded the three networks report on "what may be one of the most wide ranging scandals of our time" and "a story of Watergate-like significance with wide ranging national security implications involving officials at the highest levels of power in the U.S. government."

It also included a breakdown of media coverage thus far with a pitiful 20 seconds on the October 24 ABC's World News Tonight and a scant "99 seconds of coverage in a 69-second Q&A on the October 22, Face the Nation and a 30-second mention on the October 25, CBS This Morning" (links added). Shamefully, NBC has yet to cover the story on any of their newscasts (Meet the Press, NBC Nightly News, and Today).

This too is a nothing-burger, although it's understandable why US conservatives have hung their hat on it: their democratic opposition, with the backing of the Deep State establishment, have used 'ties with Russia' as a vehicle with which to bash Trump and keep him in line, thus keeping the US Empire on course (towards its total destruction, but they don't know that).

Putin explained - in plain, simple, non-hysterical language - what this uranium deal is actually about in his recent speech at Valdai 2017 (where leaders from around the world in the fields of politics, media and business met to discuss future global governance without the US, which has apparently lost its mind).

The US and Russia made arrangements in the early 90s to 'civilize' their nuclear warheads by selling it to each other for use in nuclear power plants. This way, the process could be openly monitored. The only Clinton connection to this overarching deal is that Slick Willy happened to be president at the time. There's no scandal here. It's being 'scandalized' now because all things Russia are 'bad'.

The vast majority of political news coming out of the US these days is - to again borrow a phrase from Putin - paranoid political schizophrenia.

How the elite dominate the world: Politicians are bought, incumbents almost always win - and we're stuck with them

US Capitol
Once we wake up to how the game is being played, then we will have a real shot at changing things. For decades, the elite have been pulling the strings behind the scenes in both major political parties. That is why nothing has ever seemed to change very much no matter which party has been in power. The agenda of the elite has always seemed to march forward, and ordinary people like us have always been frustrated that we can't seem to make a difference. But now a shift seems to be taking place. Donald Trump took on the establishment in both major parties, and he miraculously won the presidency. Down in Alabama, the elite spent more than 30 million dollars to defeat Roy Moore, and he still defeated Luther Strange. A political awakening is taking place, and I can't wait to see what happens during the mid-term elections in 2018.

In Part I and Part II of this series, I talked about how the elite use debt as a tool of enslavement. In Part III, I went over how the elite use the colossal media corporations they own to control what we think. Today, I want to talk about their influence in the realm of politics.

Comment: Greed and corruption in U.S. politics is a cancer that has metastasized. The governing body of America is largely beyond healing because it insists - out of its own willful ignorance and pathological addiction to money and power - to remain ill. While we can laud observers like the author who see the problem and want to correct it, it is hard to be optimistic about the US's chances of correcting its course. From here on in all we can do is bear witness to the death rattles of a dying empire, see the reasons for why it is happening, share our observations with one another - and prepare, as much as possible, for the probable outcome.

Navy investigating 2 SEALs in connection with strangulation of Army Green Beret death

US army flags
The Navy is investigating two unnamed members of the elite SEAL Team 6 in the death of an Army Green Beret who was found strangled to death in Mali last June, according to a report published Sunday.

Comment: It's pretty difficult to field an effective military force when it contains a high percentage of psychopaths. As above, so below.

Mad science: Doctors and scientists will dissect Paddock's brain to find motive for Las Vegas massacre

mad scientist cartoon
CIA scientists get to work finding the motive inside Paddock's brain
Scientists are preparing to do a microscopic study of the Las Vegas gunman's brain, but whatever they find, if anything, likely won't be what led him to kill 58 people in the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, experts said.

Comment: Of course it won't: he didn't do it.

Stephen Paddock's brain is being sent to Stanford University for a months-long examination after a visual inspection during an autopsy found no abnormalities, Las Vegas authorities said.

Doctors will perform multiple forensic analyses, including an exam of the 64-year-old's brain tissue to find any possible neurological problems.

The brain will arrive in California soon, and Stanford has been instructed to spare no expense for the work, The New York Times reported. It will be further dissected to determine if Paddock suffered from health problems such as strokes, blood vessel diseases, tumors, some types of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, degenerative disorders, physical trauma and infections.

Comment: They're never going to find - or even invent - an adequate motive that fits the lone gunman theory. That's because the likely motive only fits a multiple shooter scenario in which professionals carried out this massacre with the full backing of power on high.

President Trump Confident in US Missile Defense: He's Deluded

US missile defense illusion
The US is pushing ahead with expansion of the nation's homeland ballistic missile defense (BMD). The effort enjoys strong bipartisan support in Congress and among experts. Many allies place a high value on BMD cooperation with the United States. However, there are ample reasons to question the efficiency of US missile defenses, especially the capability to protect against intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).

Comment: And what, do we expect, is behind this hyping of US military prowess beyond any sense of reality? Money! The defense contractors and their politician friends are only too happy to bolster each others delusions and lie the American public because they know very well that that is the best way to continue the apparently unlimited flow of taxpayers' dollars directly into the coffers of this self-styled 'elite'. As the saying goes, it's impossible to convince a person to believe something when their paycheck depends on them NOT believing it.

Philippines' Duterte says - 'I'll deal with Trump in most righteous way'

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, who has been notoriously critical of the US, has said he would welcome US President Donald Trump "as an important leader" when the two heads of state meet in November.

"I would deal with President Trump in the most righteous way, welcome him as an important leader," Duterte told journalists ahead of his visit to Japan, where he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. "I would have to also listen to him, what he has to say," the Philippines leader said, as cited by Reuters.

Duterte said he expects to discuss issues such as "terrorism, cooperation between the two countries [and] the fight against drugs" during his meeting with Trump. However, earlier, the US Ambassador to Manila, Sung Kim, told reporters the two leaders would also likely discuss human rights and the rule of law, which remain controversial issues in light of Duterte's debatable war on drugs policy.

New Book Reveals FBI Report on Deep State's 'All Out War' to Destroy Trump

USA deep state
The mainstream media's effort to cast doubt on the existence of the Deep State has been dealt a stunning body blow by an FBI report on rogue elements within the permanent federal bureaucracy.

Comment: As we have stated many times on Sott.net, the idea of an unelected 'deep state' running the USA (and many other Western supposed democracies) is a 'no brainer'. There are career politicians, businessmen, diplomats and intelligence officials who have been working behind the scenes in the USA for decades, effectively running the country. Anyone who believes that there is a new 'administration' or 'commander in chief' every 4 or 8 years when a new president is elected and who then proceeds to 'run the country' his own way, or independently of this established kleptocracy and 'intelligence-industrial complex', is deluded. Apart from such a scenario being completely unworkable (a change of plans for the direction of a country every 4 or 8 years), there is no way that the 'deep state' would allow such a thing to happen. Since Trump's election, we all have been seeing direct evidence of this 'deep state' exerting its control over Trump.

Gowdy on Russia nothing-burger latest: Mueller team is breaking the law by leaking rumors about possible charges in Trump-Russia probe

cnn russia nothing burger
Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy, the leader of the House's top investigative committee, slammed special counsel Robert Mueller on Sunday for allowing the news media to learn that he and his legal team now have charges in their Russia investigation.

"In the only conversation I've had with Robert Mueller, I stressed to him the importance of cutting out the leaks," Gowdy, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, told Fox News Sunday. "It's kind of ironic that the people charged with investigating the law and the violations of the law would violate the law."

Mueller and his team have for roughly the past five months been leading a Justice Department investigation into whether anybody associated with the President Trump's 2016 White House campaign colluded with Russia to influence the election outcome. On Friday night, CNN reported that Mueller's team has filed the first charges in the case with a federal grand jury.

New study shows staggering disparity in media coverage around Uranium One, DNC-dossier stories

NBC mainstream media
The mainstream media has spent countless hours this year covering the Trump-Russia collusion "scandal," despite a lack of evidence to prove Democrats' claims. Last week, it was reported that Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for the so-called "anti-Trump dossier" on Trump. The later has hardly been covered, according to a new study.

Comment: Anyone with two neurons firing can see clearly that the mainstream media in the USA and Europe is massively biased against Trump and towards Hillary Clinton and all things 'democratic' and 'establishment'. So much for journalistic integrity! While truth is a casualty here, the real problem is that the American people are being bamboozled and sold a false version of reality by those who claim to be protecting their interests.

"Your presence in Syria is illegal, you exploit the humanitarian issue for your own purposes" - Moscow to Washington

Maria Zakharova
Maria Zakharova spells out the nature of US involvement in Syria
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reaffirmed her country's position on the issue of the intervention of the Washington-led international "anti-ISIS" coalition in Syria, pointing out that its presence under the pretext of fighting terrorism is illegal due to not being approved by the legitimate Syrian government.

Comment: Zakharova is, of course, absolutely correct. For the last 70 years US foreign policy has centered around intimidation of other countries to toe the American imperial line. Those nations that refused to back down, often saw their political processes directly attacked by US intelligence agencies or their assets, or their countries directly bombed and invaded by the US military. Syria falls into the latter category, but since Russian intervention in the conflict over 2 years ago, US forces have been forced to stoop to increasingly immoral and deceitful practices in an attempt to thwart the rebuilding of Syria by the rightful authorities (the Syrian government) with the help of their Russian allies.
