29 states pass a gag order on local seed laws, in favor of big agriculture

sprouting seeds
States like Oregon, California, Texas, Montana and Iowa just simultaneously nuked the ability to have seed laws. Claws of Big Ag found puppeteering legislators.

With little to no fanfare at all, the states passed "seed preemption laws" that essentially shut down public discourse on seeds laws - including the use of genetically engineered crops. There is consternation that the move was "designed to block counties and cities from adopting their own rules on the use of seeds, including bans on GMOs" since in many parts of the country those crucial decisions are only the state's to make.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says that Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of Alabama "should step aside" in light of allegations he had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl decades ago.

McConnell spoke to reporters Monday after visiting a plant in Kentucky. He says he believes the women who were quoted in a Washington Post story about Moore's past relationships with them as young women.

Previously McConnell had said Moore should step aside if the allegations were proven true.

He says Republicans are looking at a write-in option in Alabama.

12:56 p.m.

Alabama Republican Roy Moore says it's Mitch McConnell who should quit, not him.

Moore is responding to McConnell, the Senate majority leader, who says he believes Moore's accusers and thinks he should drop out of the race for Senate. At issue is a Washington Post story saying Moore had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl and pursued romantic relationships with other teenage girls decades ago.

Moore says on Twitter:
"The person who should step aside is @SenateMajLdr Mitch McConnell. He has failed conservatives and must be replaced. #DrainTheSwamp."

Comment: Recently many top figures in the show business of politics and stage are being exposed as sexual predators:

Russia and India's changing relationship: Time to reboot for our multi-polar world

Russia India diplomatic relations partners
© ReutersRussia should actively participate in India’s Make in India programme in defence manufacturing, with more technology transfers, as that would consolidate Russia’s dominant position as India’s defence partner, the report said.
This year - 2017- Russia and India are celebrating their 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations. Both countries are organizing host of cultural programmes, film festivals and exchange visits among top officials to commemorate this historic event. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the September 2017 BRICS summit held in Xiamen city, China. The two premiers discussed several aspects of the bilateral relationship, including cooperation in oil and natural gas sector. Back in June this year, Modi made an official state visit to Russia in which it was agreed, among other things, the two nations will build an "Energy Bridge" to expand the scope of bilateral relations in all areas of energy-nuclear, hydrocarbon, hydel and renewable energy sources and in improving energy efficiency.

Comment: Meanwhile in the US, rather than considering cooperation with Russia (and the rest of the world) leaders and their lackeys are spending much of their time concocting hysterical tales about Russia: In the Absence of Evidence of Russian Collusion and 'Hacking', Congress Makes It Up

The Russia-India friendship has always drawn overwhelming international media, precisely Western media, attention for the latter had a special relationship with the erstwhile Soviet Union during the Cold War era. Even today, most political and strategic experts from India proclaim Russia-India relationship is nothing less than a 'strategic alliance'. Similarly, a considerable number of scholars and experts from Russia advocate the same line of thinking; however, this does not apply to the Putin administration during his ongoing presidential tenure. Russia, at present, is taking up a realist foreign policy stance to steadfastly regain its super-power status on the world-stage, least within Eurasia.

Homeland Security Team Remotely Hacked, Took Control of, a Boeing 757

777-200 cockpit
A team of government, industry and academic officials successfully demonstrated that a commercial aircraft could be remotely hacked in a non-laboratory setting last year, a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official said Wednesday at the 2017 CyberSat Summit in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

"We got the airplane on Sept. 19, 2016. Two days later, I was successful in accomplishing a remote, non-cooperative, penetration," said Robert Hickey, aviation program manager within the Cyber Security Division of the DHS Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate

Comment: In a Septmber 20th 2011 article in The Economist, the former head of British Airways "suggested . . . that aircraft could be commandeered from the ground and controlled remotely in the event of a hijack."

Or to put that another way, aircraft could be commandeered from the ground and controlled remotely for the purpose of hijacking the plane.

When you consider the advanced technology involved in the ubiquitous 'drone strikes' by the US military that take place around the world on a daily basis, it's something of a 'no brainer' that the ability to remotely commandeer commercial airplanes has long since been in place.

Mother of Roy Moore accuser: Washington Post reporters convinced my daughter to go public

Birmingham, ALABAMA - The mother of Leigh Corfman, who says that Alabama Senatorial Candidate Roy Moore tried to engage in a sexual encounter with her when she was 14, told Breitbart News that the Washington Post worked to convince her daughter to give an interview about the allegations against Moore.

Speaking by phone to Breitbart News on Saturday, Corfman's mother, Nancy Wells, 71, further stated that her daughter would not have come forward if it weren't for The Post reporter's alleged actions.

Corfman went public with her accusations against Moore in a Washington Post interview published last week in which she alleged that Moore attempted to initiate sexual contact with her in 1979 when she was 14. Three other women between the ages of 16 and 18 claim that when Moore was in his 30s, he attempted to court them or that he dated them. The current age of consent in Alabama is 16.

Moore has strongly denied the accusations. He has questioned the timing of The Post's story, which was dropped mere weeks before the December 12 election.

Comment: Those grown women brought up charges after decades simply because the Washington Post told them to, and that was clearly due to political motivations. Are the allegations by these women even true?

Flashback Plaintiffs file Motion for Protection in DNC fraud lawsuit citing series of "suspicious events"

Plaintiffs’ Motion for Order of Protection and Request for Hearing
Plaintiffs’ Motion for Order of Protection and Request for Hearing
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, lawyers for the plaintiffs in the DNC fraud lawsuit filed a Motion for Order of Protection to the U.S. District Court in Florida following three disturbing incidents that recently occurred in orbit of the lawyers and plaintiffs involved in the ongoing, high-stakes litigation.

The lawsuit, a class action filed by Jared Beck and Elizabeth Lee Beck last summer, seeks damages for Democratic Party donors and voters duped by the party's fraudulent 2016 primary. Counsel for the Democrats argued on April 25, 2017 in favor of their Motion to Dismiss, insisting that Federal Judge William J. Zloch throw out the case because the Party has the right to choose its nominee behind closed doors, in smoke-filled rooms, regardless of the results of primary contests.

In addition to the Party, the lawsuit names disgraced former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz as a Defendant. Following her resignation as DNC chair, Schultz has been the subject of intensifying scrutiny related to this lawsuit and another blasting the DNC's grotesque compensation practices under her leadership. D.C. Capitol Police are also investigating a massive data breach committed by her former IT staffers, who have since fled the country. Meanwhile, uncertainty lingers as the homicides of DNC data director and potential witness Seth Rich, and Miami Federal Prosecutor Bheranton J. Whisenant Jr. remain unsolved.

FBI seeks Senate documents into sale of fetal tissue a year after being informed

Sen. Chuck Grassley, in a letter to the FBI and the Justice Department, asked them to investigate the groups involved in the supply chain of fetal tissue.
© (AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall)Sen. Chuck Grassley, in a letter to the FBI and the Justice Department, asked them to investigate the groups involved in the supply chain of fetal tissue.
The FBI has asked the Senate for unredacted documents it obtained from abortion providers, signaling agents may be investigating whether Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers illegally sold fetal tissue and body parts, according to sources familiar with the document request.

The request was made in recent days, the sources said, to the Senate Judiciary Committee, whose chairman, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), last December referred Planned Parenthood and several other abortion providers to the FBI for investigation after a lengthy probe into the transfers of fetal tissue.

Grassley said at the time that his committee had uncovered enough evidence in its final investigative report to show abortion providers had transferred tissue and body parts from aborted fetuses to firms for use in research by charging dollar amounts above their actual costs.

Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, the GOP's most prominent megadonor, is publicly breaking with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon over his efforts to oust Republican incumbents in 2018.

"The Adelsons will not be supporting Steve Bannon's efforts," said Andy Abboud, an Adelson spokesman. "They are supporting Mitch McConnell 100 percent. For anyone to infer anything otherwise is wrong."

The public pronouncement comes about a month after Adelson met with Bannon in Washington.

Comment: Sheldon Adelson, who is a close confidant of Benjamin Netanyahu, might be one of the reasons for the Trump administration's unconditional support for Israel and anti-Iran stance:

Clinton Foundation facing financial meltdown

Hillary Clinton Clinton Foundation
It should come as little surprise to see a new report detailing how the slush fund Clinton Foundation is now under severe financial strain after the world's largest corporations are ending their contributions to the "charity." And why would anyone in their right mind give a cent to the foundation which was merely a money laundering operation built on the Clinton's influence and access in Washington DC?

Now that the presidential loser Hillary Clinton, is not sitting in the White House, the Clinton Foundation has no service to offer its "contributors."

A new report by the International Business Times suggests the Clinton Foundation is facing a severe financial downturn after the world's largest corporations ended all contributions to the slush fund "charity."

While turbulent during the best of times, gigantic waves of change are now sweeping across the Middle East. The magnitude is such that the impact on the global price of oil, as well as world markets, is likely to be enormous.

A dramatic geo-political realignment by Saudi Arabia is in full swing this month. It's upending many decades of established strategic relationships among the world's superpowers and, in particular, is throwing the Middle East into turmoil.

So much is currently in flux, especially in Saudi Arabia, that nearly anything can happen next. Which is precisely why this volatile situation should command our focused attention at this time.
