Comment: When faced with clear evidence that they are contributing to a humanitarian disaster where hundreds of children have been killed and thousands more injured, Congress gets together and recognizes that fact, states that it is illegal, and then walks away without actually DOING anything because, ya know, there's money to be made. And these are the scurrilous reprobates claiming that Trump is 'not fit to be President'! Hypocrisy is obviously a way of life for these people.

In correspondence with Trump's son, the WikiLeaks account shared details about a new anti-Trump website it said was about to launch, putintrump.org, and provided the login information for the site. "We have guessed the password. It is 'putintrump," the message read.
"Off the record I don't know who that is, but I'll ask around," Donald Trump Jr. responded.
Comment: It's an interesting and valid question: why have EU leaders accepted so many refugees when they did not have to? Are we to assume it was 'humanitarianism', when the same humanitarianism was missing when the same EU leaders supported US attacks on Middle Eastern nations that created the 'refugee crisis' in the first place? Hardly. So there must be another explanation. Some have put it down to some EU nations' need for 'cheap labor', and this may be the case, but as Orban says, this is a very dangerous move that involves serious risks of social discord at the heart of the EU. Then again, maybe they want that too...

That's because a growing number of Americans are struggling to stretch their dollars far enough to pay their bills, get out of debt and ensure that if and when an illness arises, it doesn't bankrupt them.
This is a reality that no amount of partisan political bickering can deny.
Many Americans can no longer afford health insurance, drug costs or hospital bills. They can't afford to pay rising healthcare premiums, out-of-pocket deductibles and prescription drug bills.
They can't afford to live, and now they can't afford to get sick or die, either.
To be clear, my definition of "affordable healthcare" is different from the government's. To the government, you can "afford" to pay for healthcare if your income falls above the poverty line. That takes no account of rising taxes, the cost of living, the cost to clothe and feed a household, the cost of transportation and communication and education, or any of the other line items that add up to a life worth living.
As Helaine Olen points out in The Atlantic:
"Just because a person is insured, it doesn't mean he or she can actually afford their doctor, hospital, pharmaceutical, and other medical bills. The point of insurance is to protect patients' finances from the costs of everything from hospitalizations to prescription drugs, but out-of-pocket spending for people even with employer-provided health insurance has increased by more than 50 percent since 2010."For too many Americans, achieving any kind of quality of life has become a choice between putting food on the table and paying one's bills or health care coverage.
It's a gamble any way you look at it, and the medical community is not helping.
Healthcare costs are rising, driven by a medical, insurance and pharmaceutical industry that are getting rich off the sick and dying.
On Thursday, House Republicans issued a fact sheet about their new tax cut plan that referred to Americans earning $450,000 a year as "low- and middle-income" - even though that income level would put those taxpayers in the top 0.5 percent of all individual Americans.
The median household income in the United States is $59,039, after all.
Earlier in the day, Speier testified in front of the House Administration Committee that two members of Congress, a Republican and a Democrat, have engaged in sexual harassment in the past. Todd asked Speier about her allegations of sexual harassment and what she believes her responsibility is in going public with that information.
"Well, it is my responsibility to address the seriousness of this issue. These survivors are subject to a non-disclosure agreement. I'm not going to violate their non-disclosure agreement," Speier responded.
Comment: So while Hollywood scum have to pay for their sexual harassment out of their own pockets, congress gets to bill it to the taxpayer. Since this essentially means there's no consequence for these abuses, including the offenses being publicized, where's the incentive for the monkeys in congress to actually control their behaviour?

"The Russian Ministry of Defense is investigating its civilian employee who mistakenly attached photos to a statement on the US-led coalition's interaction with the Islamic State militants in the area of Abu-Kamal," the military said in a statement.
Earlier Tuesday, the MoD uploaded images on Facebook and Twitter, which it said were evidence that the US were actually covering up Islamic State (IS, ISIS/ISIL) combat units.
The online crowd was quick to point out that one of the pictures was actually a screenshot from "C-130 Gunship Simulator: Special Ops Squadron" mobile game.

The disillusioned members of the ruling Republic on the Move (LREM) party announced that they would leave the movement ahead of the LREM Congress which is to take place in the city of Lyon on Saturday, the FranceInfo channel reported, releasing the group's bitterly-worded manifesto.
Calling themselves "100 democrats," the group is said to mostly include ordinary members, but also some elected officials and regional heads. "Democracy is no longer on the move!" screams the manifesto's title, playing upon the party's name.
The biggest surprise to dedicated Daily Mail readers will be that RT is not operating from a hollowed-out volcano on a super villain's tropical island, but actually from a gray, aging (cold) skyscraper.
The Daily Mail article, jumping wholeheartedly upon the now-speeding anti-Russia bandwagon in Britain, carries the breathless headline: "Putin's lying machine: Revealed, how Russia's spewing out ruthless propaganda from a Moscow-funded TV station - right next to Westminster."
Comment: The British establishment media, like their American counterparts, is a joke. Every person who retains the ability to think for themselves (not many) know this.
Comment: How shocking that someone would support a boycott against Israel, an apartheid state that regularly persecutes, imprisons and murders Palestinians. The only argument Israelis have against the charges against them is that the 'Palestinians don't accept Israel's right to exist'. But this is a spurious argument given that from the very beginning of its creation in 1948, the Zionist entity set out to destroy the very existence of the Palestinians as a people. Evidence for this is seen today in the fact that very little remains of historical Palestine, most of it having already been incorporated into Israel via illegal Israeli settlements and rabidly racist settlers.
It is therefore the duty and responsibility of every person of conscience to support, in whatever way they can, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement as a way to curtail Israeli brutality.
