More ways Obama's spies apparently exploited the Trump 'dossier'

The much-hyped Obama intelligence report that determined "Vladimir Putin ordered" Hillary Clinton's campaign emails hacked and leaked "to help Trump's chances of victory" has been accepted as gospel among DC punditry and given the investigations besieging the Trump presidency their legs. To date, no evidence has publicly emerged to corroborate the report, and the reason may have a lot to do with that sketchy dossier bought and paid for by Clinton. Suspiciously, Barack Obama's Intelligence Community Assessment matches the main allegations leveled by the Clinton-paid dossier on Trump, which wormed its way into intelligence channels, in addition to the FBI, Justice Department and State Department, during the 2016 campaign.

In fact, the shady dossier makes exactly the same claim - that Putin personally "ordered" the cyberattacks on the Clinton campaign and leaked embarrassing emails to "bolster Trump," as part of "an aggressive Trump support operation." Like Obama's ICA, Clinton's dossier provides no concrete evidence to back up the claim.

After learning Obama Justice and FBI officials relied heavily on unsubstantiated rumors in the dossier to wiretap a Trump adviser during the election, congressional leaders now suspect the dossier also informed Obama intelligence officials who compiled the ICA.

They're proud that former President Barack Obama was giving a speech at their get-together, but they didn't want anybody to talk or post on social media about it.

In a bizarre demand, the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference apparently called for attendees of Obama's speech, which took place inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, to keep it a secret.

"The 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, will address the 2018 Sloan Sports Analytics Conference on February 23, 2018 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center," a description of the ESPN-sponsored event says. "A lifelong sports fan and athlete, President Obama will address a wide range of subjects in his talk, from his most memorable moments in the White House, to his post-presidency plans."

As the Syrians progressed in their liberation of East Ghouta, Western terrorist sympathizers stepped into the fray, with the UNSC voting for a 30-day truce. But will Al-Qaeda abide by it? Unlikely.

With the proxy war waged in PyeongChang and Syria in full swing, the third front - Russiagate - is still going strong despite there being no evidence for it existing in the first place. There's more evidence for Bigfoot. The Dems have now released their much hyped memo. Mueller has indicted Russians and more Americans. And yet that Russian collusion is still nowhere to be found.

North Korea has been depicted by the Western media as a dangerous rogue state, plotting the nuclear holocaust of America and holding global peace and stability hostage with its irrational aggression. It is the supposed threat North Korea poses to the world that the United States uses to justify its enduring decades-long military presence on the Korean Peninsula.

In the recently released 2018 US Department of Defense Nation Defense Strategy, it claims:
North Korea seeks to guarantee regime survival and increased leverage by seeking a mixture of nuclear, biological, chemical, conventional, and unconventional weapons and a growing ballistic missile capability to gain coercive influence over South Korea, Japan, and the United States.
Yet North Korea's immediate neighbor - South Korea - felt comfortable enough with this "rogue regime" that it not only invited high level diplomats to the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, it had its own athletes compete side-by-side with their North Korean counterparts as a unified team.

Some 1,500 people have rallied in central Tel Aviv demanding the resignation of Benjamin Netanyahu over corruption allegations and a recent Israeli police recommendation that charges be brought against the Prime Minister.

The "Bibi Netanyahu go home" slogan once again united the Israeli crowd holding their weekly anti-government corruption protest in Tel Aviv. Waving signs that read "Bibi, you are not above the law," "Love Israel, separate from Netanyahu," they chanted, "A mafia country and a corrupt Prime Minister."

Earlier this month Israeli police recommended that Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted over allegations of bribery, fraud and breach of trust. Despite the pressure and daily calls to resign, Netanyahu maintains his innocence, further exacerbating the public anger.

Comment: As Bibi considers himself above the law, both national and international, his resignation is highly unlikely.

Xi Jinping could remain as head of state after 2023 under new rules
China's ruling Communist Party is seeking to remove a restriction on the president serving 10 years, paving the way for Xi Jinping to remain in office beyond 2023 and perhaps for life.

The official Xinhua news agency said on Sunday that the Party had proposed to "remove the expression" that the president and vice-president "shall serve no more than two consecutive terms" from the country's constitution.

The move would set in motion a more authoritarian future for China under Mr Xi, and is being described by experts as confirmation that Beijing has no interest in further opening up or delivering real democracy.


Comment: Of course, we couldn't miss the China-bashing moment from a Western media outlet. Those authoritarian Chinese who have no interest in Western-style democracy, how dare they consider having their leader for longer!


Steven Tsang, the director of the China Institute at SOAS, University of London told The Telegraph: "Democratization was never on the agenda under the Communist Party, which is a consultative Leninist system, one that fundamentally rejects liberal democracy, despite its claim that China is democratic 'with Chinese characteristics'.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index recently suffered two trading sessions when it lost more than 1,000 points. But American stocks may face a much bigger meltdown, warns banking giant Morgan Stanley.

"Appetizer, not the main course," the bank's strategists wrote, describing the beginning of the year for the Dow, as quoted by Bloomberg.

The main threat to the stock market is higher bond yields and not faster inflation, according to analysts. A slowdown in the US economy could also be a factor for a decline in stocks.

Russian envoy to the United Nations called on the United States to stop the "occupation" actions, to let the Syrian government recover peaceful life on the territories, freed of terrorists.

Russia has urged the US-led anti-terrorist coalition to cease its "occupation attitude" in Syria, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia said at the UN Security Council's session on Saturday.

"We insist on the immediate cessation of the occupation attitude of the so-called coalition, which will have, among other things, a distinct humanitarian effect. It would allow the Syrian government to engage in the restoration of a normal life on all territories, liberated from the terrorists," Nebenzia said.

Comment: During negotiations on a UN Security Council resolution on ceasefire in Syria, Russia sought to prevent the document from becoming a pretext for military action in Syria, Russia's UN envoy, Vasily Nebenzya, said on Saturday.
"The reason why we negotiated for so long on this resolution is that we wanted to make sure that it is not used as a pretext for any military action," he said. "We heard some worried comments on that in recent days and including today, some of them very bellicose. And we said it clearly that we won't let anyone to interpret this resolution as a pretext for military action," the Russian diplomat said.
The US military presence in Syria is aimed at solving "geopolitical issues of doubtful legitimacy," Russia's UN envoy, Vasily Nebenzya, told the UN Security Council on Saturday.
"The aim of fighting with terrorists should not become a disguise for solving this or that geopolitical issue of doubtful legitimacy, which is exactly what the United States is currently doing in Syria," the Russian diplomat said after the unanimous UN Security Council vote to adopt a resolution on Syrian ceasefire.

Iraq seeks to acquire S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft weapon systems to defend its territory from air strikes, Iraqi MP Hakim Al-Zamili, head of the Iraqi parliament's security and defense committee, told Al-Ghad Press daily on Saturday.

"Iraq has the right to own cutting-edge weapons to defend its territory and air space from air attacks," he said. "Terrorism targets our country abundant in places sacred for every Iraqi. There are signs and warnings that extremists might use aircraft for attacks on those shrines, which cause lots of worries and anxiety in the country, as it was after an attack on Samarra's holy places."

Samarra, an ancient city in northern Iraq, is home to some Shi'ite holiest shrines. Among them is the al-Askari mosque, regarded as a pilgrimage site for the Shi'ites. On 22 February 2006, its famous golden dome collapsed after a blast burying more than 80 worshippers under debris. The shrine's destruction plunged Iraq into an unprecedented wave of violence and the country found itself on the brink of a civil war.
