The EU's Ukraine 'counter-plan' is a loser's manifesto

The EU/NATO combo cannot but play the role of pathetic yapping chihuahuas. That's the price you pay for a matryoshka of supreme stupidity.

No one ever lost money betting on the politically suicidal instincts of post-Orwellian EU - that acronym for a virtual Europe.

Call them juvenile bipolar psychos or a bunch of yapping chihuahuas: no Jupiterian or Mercurial voice of reason has been capable to impart to the "leadership" in Brussels and their vassals in most European capitals - yes, there are healthy exceptions - that losers in wars do not dictate terms.

And still those War Council luminaries - with a special starring role for the toxic Pfizer Medusa and her Estonian sidekick unable to even manage a herring stall in the Baltics - insist that essentially the mega-corrupt gang in Kiev must prevail, to the last Ukrainian dead, and on top of it dictate the final terms of their non-surrender.

Reality begs to differ. Plan A was never to talk, much less negotiate with Russia. And still there's no Plan B.

So after the 28-pointer Theater of the Absurd, the cross-yapping went ballistic, leading to an emergency "counter-plan" that is, what else, a Loser's Manifesto.

Even Rubio allowed himself a shining moment: "What plan?" Might as well call it The Euro-kiss of Death.

Zelensky sent aide to US talks to 'protect' him from corruption probe - media

Andrey Yermak was reportedly put in charge of the Ukrainian delegation as anti-graft agents prepared a suspicion notice.

Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky appointed his chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, to head Kiev's negotiating delegation in Geneva last weekend after learning that anti-corruption investigators were preparing a suspicion notice against the aide, the newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli (ZN) claimed on Wednesday, citing sources.

The report comes amid fallout from a massive $100 million graft scheme involving the Ukrainian leader's inner circle, including long-time associate Timur Mindich, who has been charged with running a kickback scheme in the energy sector and fled before the authorities could detain him.

Surveillance of the Mindich case by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) reportedly captured conversations involving Zelensky and Yermak, potentially implicating both. The NABU probe has led to the dismissal of two cabinet ministers and implicated additional senior officials.

Comment: Z's 'protections' for his associates are self-serving.

Gaza in worst economic collapse on record - UN

Around 70% of structures in the Palestinian enclave have been destroyed as a result of the two-year Israel-Hamas war, according to a report.

Gaza is suffering the worst economic collapse on record after two years of war between Israel and Hamas have left the Palestinian enclave devastated, according to the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) report.

The UN trade body said this week that GDP in 2024 crashed by 83% from the previous year, while GDP per capita fell to $161 for the year - less than 50 cents a day - among the lowest levels in the world.

UNCTAD estimates the economy has shrunk to just 13% of its 2022 size, with inflation at 238%, unemployment near 80%, and all 2.3 million residents pushed below the poverty line.
"The post-October 2023 military operations have destroyed the economic foundations of Gaza and propelled it from de-development to utter ruin. The crisis has erased 69 years of progress and plunged the enclave's economy into "the most severe crisis ever recorded."
About 70% of all structures in the enclave have been damaged, and rebuilding Gaza will cost at least $70 billion and take decades, according to the report.

Comment: Israel has given the US-brokered ceasefire the finger. Appallingly late, the UN's concern is impotent and insignificant. No one, deprived of livelihood, resources and abilities, lives on 50 cents a day.

Eroticism, espionage, blackmail and banking: the Epstein/Rothschild bank/Israeli cyber-weaponry axis

Epstein

The Epstein affair is not what it seems. Certainly, it was known that the businessman had created a child prostitution ring and that he blackmailed his wealthy clients for the benefit of his Israeli friends. Documents published by Drop Site News attest to Epstein's political ties with former Israeli Prime Minister, General Ehud Barak, who manipulated the Epstein network to sell Israeli cyber weapons. Behind the sex scandal, a political affair is shaking numerous countries, from Mongolia to Ivory Coast, and including Russia.

The fetid "Epstein affair" turned out to be a matter of intrusion at the highest level of cyber strategy.

The case of the Khazar pedophile Jeffrey Epstein represents the operational core of a true policy of the greatest lethality, a new incarnation of the eternal triad of total power: sex/money/power.

The website Dropsitenews.com [ 1 ] — based in Washington, founded by former Intercept staffers who expose abuses of power and disinformation — following the partial release of new documents from the US House Oversight Committee, connects seemingly incoherent and unthinkable points of Jeffrey Epstein with his Rothschild banker co-religionists, the frequent and well-known visits of former Israeli Prime Minister and former Defense Minister, the Ashkenazi Lithuanian Ehud Barak (EB), and "the Israeli cyber-weapons industry" — see my article: "Anyone who owns a cell phone, medicine and food owns a 'piece of Israel,' says Netanyahu" [ 2 ] .

West gearing up for war - key Russian ally

Rising foreign military budgets and hostile rhetoric make Belarus feel like a "besieged fortress," its president has said.

Western governments are creating mounting military threats along Belarus' border, President Alexander Lukashenko warned on Thursday, addressing fellow leaders of a regional alliance in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Lukashenko said Belarus increasingly feels like a "besieged fortress" due to burgeoning military expenditures across Europe, particularly in Germany and Poland, coupled with what he described as hostile rhetoric.

"Western politicians are deliberately preparing for war," he cautioned.

The Belarusian leader also criticized steps taken by Western countries to isolate Minsk, including border and airspace restrictions, as well as their continued weapons shipments to Ukraine. These arms, Lukashenko argued, are now "spreading all over the world," fueling instability beyond the immediate conflict zone.

Best of the Web: FDA chief Marty Makary: Fauci involved in 'massive' COVID-19 origins cover-up

Marty Makary pod force one covid fauci coverup
© Ron Sachs – CNP for NY PostFood and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary described the alleged COVID origin cover-up by Anthony Fauci as “an American tragedy.”
The assertion was made in an interview with 'Pod Force One'

Dr. Anthony Fauci orchestrated a "massive cover-up" about the origins of COVID-19 while serving as a top public health official during the coronavirus pandemic, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary argued on the latest episode of Pod Force One.

Makary, a former professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, explained to Pod Force One host Miranda Devine that as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), Fauci went to great lengths to suppress the theory that COVID-19 leaked out of a research lab in China — something few in the medical community picked up on.

"One thing that's extremely obvious that very few people realize, and certainly hardly anyone in the medical establishment where I come from realized, is that [Fauci] was involved in a massive cover-up of the origins of COVID, a massive cover-up," the FDA commissioner said.

Baltic nations want EU bailout after Russia sanctions backfire - Politico

The region has reportedly requested assistance as tourism, investment, and cross-border trade have plunged under restrictions on Moscow

The European Commission will provide financial aid next year to Baltic states grappling with the economic fallout from EU sanctions on Russia, Politico reported on Thursday, citing officials familiar with the plan.

Tourism and investment have slumped across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, while cross-border trade has "largely collapsed" due to the loss of long-standing commercial ties with Russia, the outlet said.

Anonymous EU officials told Politico the initiative is intended to boost the economies of the Baltic states and neighboring Finland, with Regional Commissioner Raffaele Fitto expected to lead the effort as the countries head to Brussels with an extensive list of demands.

Comment: The blowback was predictable from the very beginning but none of those countries thought to mend their ways, build bridges and tone down the rhetoric. There might well have been some wishful thinking that the West could defeat Russia and then loot it's resources. That dream has long ago shown itself to be delusional and is now in the realm of insanity. Despite that, the Baltic and many Nordic leaders continue to push the 'burn all the bridges' narrative.

Best of the Web: Were the Brits Behind Bloomberg's Russian-US Leaks?

trump putin ukraine flag colors graphic
Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service warned earlier the same day as Bloomberg's report that the Brits are hellbent on discrediting Trump in order to undermine his latest peace efforts for resolving the conflict from which they profit.

Bloomberg shared what it claimed to be the transcripts of calls between Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin's top foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov as well as between Ushakov and Putin's other advisor Kirill Dmitriev about the Ukrainian peace process. The gist of the Witkoff-Ushakov call was Witkoff's proposal to have Putin suggest a Gaza-like 20-point peace deal for Ukraine during an upcoming call with Trump while the Ushakov-Dmitriev one implied that the leaked draft was Russian-influenced.

Ushakov declined to comment on his talks with Witkoff but said that "Somebody tapped, somebody leaked, but not us" whereas Dmitriev flat-out described his purported call with Ushakov as "fake". For his part, Trump defended Witkoff's alleged "coaching" of Ushakov on how Putin should deal with him by reminding everyone "That's what a dealmaker does. You got to say, 'Look, they want this - you got to convince them with this.' That's a very standard form of negotiations."

Israel assassinated Hezbollah's top military chief, threatening a return to war with Lebanon

Israel's assassination of Hezbollah's top military commander threatens the collapse of the ceasefire with Lebanon and the return to war.

Israel assassinated Hezbollah's highest-ranking military commander on Sunday, marking the most significant escalation between Israel and the Lebanese resistance group since the ceasefire between both sides first took effect a year ago.

Following an airstrike on a residential apartment in the Haret Hreik neighborhood in Beirut's southern Dahiya district, the Israeli army announced that it had killed Hassan Ali Tabtabai, describing him as "Hezbollah's chief of staff." Hezbollah later confirmed that Tabtabai had been killed and that he was one of its senior military commanders.

Following the signing of the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in November of last year, Israel has engaged in a series of escalating airstrikes against what it claims are Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, which have also claimed the lives of Lebanese civilians and members of the Lebanese army and security forces.

The most recent escalation comes amid a fast-approaching "deadline" that the U.S. has set for the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah. Due to pressures from the U.S., coupled with continuous demands by Lebanese parties not to provoke a new confrontation with Israel, Hezbollah has not responded to any of Israel's numerous violations.

Lavrov denounces leak of Trump's draft peace proposal

Lavrov

Western officials are trying to torpedo Washington's mediation efforts, the top Russian diplomat has said.

The leak of a US proposal for ending the Ukraine conflict was designed to derail President Donald Trump's peace efforts, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday.

Reports that the White House had drafted a document outlining a path towards ending Kiev's hostilities with Russia initially came from the US media, with a Ukrainian MP and Axios later publishing what they said were the full 28 points of the roadmap.
"It was leaked on purpose to fan the media hype. Those who direct this hype certainly want to undermine Donald Trump's efforts, to distort the plan according to their wishes."
He said the diplomatic sabotage appears to be coming from European leaders backing Kiev, particularly French President Emmanuel Macron, who he argued do not have "the best intentions."
