The urgent warning coming from the Russian leader is mentioned in the book 'The Russia Trap: How Our Shadow War with Russia Could Spiral into Nuclear Catastrophe,' released earlier this week and written by George Beebee, a senior Bush-era CIA analyst.
Putin had telephoned President Bush two days before the attacks to warn that Russian intelligence has detected signs of an incipient terrorist campaign, 'something long in preparation,' coming out of Afghanistan. The revelation by the former CIA operative appears to be yet another proof that Washington has been repeatedly warned about the attacks that ultimately happened on September 11, 2001.
While the existence of a warning from Moscow has been public knowledge for years - senior Russian intelligence officials spoke about them shortly after the attacks - Beebee's book suggests that it was not limited to exchange between the intelligence agencies, and that Bush was warned by Putin personally.
In addition to Russia, the US had been reportedly warned by the British spies, and the danger of impending attacks had been repeatedly highlighted by both the CIA and the FBI. Whether the White House actually heeded those warnings and did everything it could to protect its citizens still remains a mystery.
Some hints at the mindset of the White House officials at the time are contained in the memoirs of Condoleezza Rice, then national security advisor and later secretary of state.
In 'No Higher Honor,' Rice confesses that she dismissed an earlier warning from Putin about Saudi-funded extremists in Pakistan that he said would eventually cause a "major catastrophe."
Rice wrote that she dismissed the warning and "chalked it up to Russian bitterness toward Pakistan for supporting the Afghan mujahideen" during the Soviet Union's war in Afghanistan.

But AmeriKants would buy the MSM version.

We all keep praying for some semblance of past events, in/of/around our lives that (at least - even on close inquiriy) i we felt and nearly knew was good, vs. what was bad.
If our generation has this moral conundrum - as it should - it gets really depressing thinking about the upcoming generations - whose lack of basic awareness and empathy is frightening.

Sometimes we have to suspect that U.S. intelligence (spy), military, governance, and democracy itself are not what we always thought they were: top-notch, world class, well-equipped and highly motivated, etc. Belief doesn't make it so, eh?
I'm confident that they took that in mind - following the Hitler Goebbels mantra - that if you're going to tell a lie, tell the HUGEST LIE EVER - long before dual Israeli & US Citizen, Rabbi Dov Zakheim* likely said to Cheney, Rumsfeld, and others of the PNAClan: "clear flor launch and now's the time" and 'Cheney' gave the 'standing orders.'

*Remember that it was D.Z. who appeared with Rumsfeld before Congress to say that the Pentagon had 'lost' / concluded to be unaccountable: 2.3 TRILLION dollars and THAT was what the newspapers on the morning of 9/11/2001 all spoke about.
They likewise said that they'd put together a 'team' of Pentagon Accountants to resolve the problem, who were meeting exactly where the Pentagon Aimed cruise missile/ or remote controlled plane struck the Pentagon.

The rot runs so deep and wide I'm not sure most of us have the stomach to find out the whole truth about 'what really happened', and that means for all the questionable tragedies the country has suffered - assassinations, false flags, needless wars.
The Big Lie theory is entirely believable. It's 'my athletic son can't be gay/trans/etc', 'my innocent teen daughter can't be pregnant', 'my loving partner can't be unfaithful', 'my pastor can't be .. whatever', etc. but writ large. But yes, 'our' government has done so many evil things, and some days it's still hard to digest.
This story is about as believable as the story of the killing of bin Laden and his burial at sea.
