That's wonderful. First it was water at the poles, now its uranium. Chances are the moon will be found to contain the same elements we have here.
What our species needs right now is a really difficult project to be shared out amongst all countries and requiring input from each of them – something like a manned and self-sustaining moonbase from whence we can launch our probes and flights throughout this system and to other systems.
Everyone who was around in 1969 can recall the global goodwill and fellow-feeling that accompanied the Apollo program. That is what we need today. I wonder if Obama is up to asking for it?
