Severe storms and several EF-1 tornadoes blew through North Texas on Tuesday.According to Stephenville Fire Marshall Cody Derrick, this was the first time in more than 20 years that the town had been directly struck by tornadoes.
The National Weather Service said tornadoes hit the towns of Stephenville and Tolar on Tuesday morning. The service also confirmed an EF-1 hit the community of Cool on Monday evening, for a total of three tornadoes in 24 hours.
The Tolar tornado was captured on video by Jared Morris when he was at work on Tuesday morning. The video shows the funnel cloud, debris flying through the air and power flashes.

The authorities have declared an emergency situation in the Cacak, Lucani and Arilje municipalities in central and eastern Serbia due to heavy rain and flooding.
The Serbian Interior Ministry declared an emergency situation on Monday in the flood-affected Cacak, Lucani and Arilje municipalities.
There were also landslides caused by the deluge in the Bajina Basta municipality, where several homes were submerged and roads damaged.
In Preljine near Cacak, where about 80 millimetres of rain per square metre fell overnight, the River Cemernica broke its banks, resulting in the evacuation of 15 people, Emergency Situations Sector chief Predrag Maric said.
Matic also said that water levels were rising in major rivers elsewhere in Serbia, but that serious problems were not expected there.
Lightning has killed three people believed to be members of the same family in Chingola, two others are nursing serious burns.
The victims are believed to have had taken shelter under a mango tree when the lightning struck, killing the three on the spot.
Copperbelt Police chief Charity Katanga confirmed the tragedy, which happened on Saturday in Chabanyama area around 14:00 hours.
Ms Katanga named the deceased as Goza Banda, 82, of house number 15, Chabanyama, his grandson Mathias Banda, 14, of Twashuka Township and Suzan Njamba, 44 of Chigayo area, while those injured were Grace Nakamba, 60, and Dorcas Nanyangwe, who were both admitted to Nchanga North Hospital.
She said the victims were in the garden when the rains characterised by lightning started.
As many as three people were killed, including two minors, while two others sustained severe burns and 42 cattle lost their lives after being struck by lightning in separate incidents today, police said.
Manisha Marawi (16) and Semsingh Tekam (18) were struck by lightning in this districts Chhivli village this morning. Both died on the spot.
A report from Shahdol said that a girl, identified as Sujata Rathore (16), also became the victim of natures wrath in Rampur village.
On the other hand, 42 cattle were killed as lightning struck them when the bovines took shelter under a tree in Shahdol districts Kamat village today. The incident took place when the owner of the cattle went home for lunch.
A sandstorm hit north and northwest China on Friday, adversely affecting local residents and traffic conditions. In Erenhot City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the sandstorm brought by the gale turned the city red, decreasing visibility to below 50 meters. Strong winds and sand limited visibility on the highway to below 10 meters.
A rare weather event known as "thundersnow" was captured on Feb. 29 in Montreal.
Combining a unique mix of snow, lightning and thunder, the snow shower came just before a major storm hit the city.
Thundersnow events are rare: less than 1 percent of all snowstorms are associated with thunder, according to ABC News. They require just the right mix of atmospheric instability and upward motion of warm air that make both snowstorms and thunder unique.
Thundersnow has also proved helpful for meteorologists predicting future storms. "Thunder and lightning existing in the storm are usually a symptom of something else," Patrick Market, associate professor of atmosphere science at the University of Missouri, told ABC News. "That's usually a harbinger of somebody getting a significant snowfall later on."
A fair-weather waterspout showed up off Balochistan coast, that is a rare phenomenon on the country's sea horizons. A waterspout that looked like a tornado caught on a fisherman's cellular lens some 24 nautical miles off Balochistan coast during a tuna hunt near Sakoni last weekend, the WWF-Pakistan said on Wednesday.
"The average spout is around 50 meters in diameter, with wind speeds of 80 kilometres per hour," Technical Advisor (Marine Fisheries), WWF-Pakistan, Muhammad Moazzam Khan said, adding that a powerful waterspout could capsize boats, damage ships and endanger human life.
The WWF-Pakistan said that one of its trained fishermen, Mahar Gul, hailing from Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported the rare weather phenomenon that had been obscure until it was captured on phone camera. It lauded the fishermen for their keenness to record such rare events on the seas.
Moazzam Khan said that the fair-weather waterspouts were usually formed along the cumulus type of clouds. "This type of waterspout is generally not associated with thunderstorms, which usually dissipates in short time," he said, adding that such waterspouts lived between five minutes and 10 minutes normally but most up to an hour.
