England: Lowestoft, Suffolk - Moving light caught in camera, but when zoomed in on it sped off

Witness Statement: After seeing these objects on a regular basis I took a video camera in my garden, To refer to my previous sightings, I have only seen these thing's move in a straight line. Anyhow's, I saw a bright object probably 30,000 feet moving straight across the sky at a fast but steady speed, I got the camera going and focused on a bright star for a reference point, I clearly caught the thing on camera without zoom but when I zoomed in, the instant it focused, the object shot off view, as I zoom out you can see something shoot down and then up again and out of sight in the space of half a second.

Time: 11:59pm

Witness Statement: On 21st of July 2009 at midnight I got off the bus at Long Eaton Green when suddenly my phone stopped playing music and crashed.

I looked up and saw a red light with an orange center moving across the sky from South to North at a rate of knots.

I am extremely familiar with both military and civilian aircraft and this thing was neither. It displayed none of the usual port / starboard lights and was not flashing.

Witness Statement: I was standing outside the front of my house with my three year old son when we noticed this red/orange light in the sky coming our way. I told my son to look as thought it was a helicopter but it glided past so silently and looked to like a balloon shape. I grabbed my camera to try to take a picture but it would not work at all...... soon as it had passed my camera was working fine again. Was a very strange unexplainable thing. You definitely needed to see it!

Whether it's alien activity or natural phenomena, reports of UFOs have flooded in this summer from across the county.

Whatever the explanation, experts agree that the number of suspected flying saucers has hit unusual highs this summer.

Philip Hoyle, of the UFO Investigation and Research Unit in Shrewsbury, has enjoyed a busy and exciting summer visiting people who have reported sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects.

In an exclusive interview with the County Times, he revealed: "There seems to be a concentration of Orange Sphere reports around the Newtown and the Llansanffraid area, many witnesses are reporting seeing orange spheres in particular over hill farms around Newtown.

"Other witnesses are describing not spheres but cigar shaped craft with lights or windows along the side.

The UFO Traffic Report for Wednesday, July 22, 2009, includes 10 selected sightings over 8 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. Ohio, July 19, 2009 - 12 total "starlike" moving objects very high in sky, some fading/disappearing, some getting much brighter at times. MUFON Case # 18223.

Four Ohio witnesses report seeing "12 objects that appear to be moving stars from one horizon to another." The silent objects were seen fading and then illuminating again. And one common report I have been reading the past few months, as these witnesses say - "I've been watching the sky my whole life and I can now see these objects seemingly at will the last few months." It may be that our communications are simply better now - with web access - but there are many similar reports that people are reporting anomalous objects from the same location or region over time now.

Description: It was a partially clear sky at 2 A.M. Sunday June 21st, 2009. Sitting outside in Coxheath, Cape Breton, NS

An oblong object streaked across the sky similar to a meteorite, from southeast to northwest. Object made a ninety degree turn to the West and disappeared.

Weather Conditions: Twilight, clear sky with high cloud

Description: A red light appeared traveling at speed across the sky. There was no noise but it was definitely a powered craft. The light was not blinking but steady and continuous. It was visible for about 15 - 20 seconds before it vanished into the cloud. An identical light appeared behind it traveling at the same speed before it too vanished into the cloud. The big group camping in front of us also saw them and were sure they were UFO's.

Description: My sister and I were on the back deck. It was just around dusk at about 9:30-9:45 pm. We heard a loud aircraft and noticed a military fighter jet flying low coming towards our house. This is a residential area so we knew it was strange at that time of night. The jet was flying extremely low. So, we watched it heading East towards us. It flew right over our heads and we turned to watch it heading further East.

Description: I had just finished work and was walking in a south/south westerly direction. I could see for miles. A bright light appeared in the distance it was brilliant white in colour very large and star shaped. This stayed lit for a matter of seconds. When it went out another very near it lit up this happened at least four times. I thought they were flares but they did not move in the breezy conditions.

Description: Driving down the street saw round object hovering in sky over neighborhood. Stayed for a few seconds...turned around and it seemed to float down the street a ways. We followed it at a speed of about 25 mph. We stopped and took three pictures as it hovered over house we tried to pull to a different side of street to capture video and it disappeared.
