Did a UFO create tornadoes in Siberia last week?

A UFO fleet was seen by numerous residents of the Siberian city of Biysk last week. The UFOs were seen speeding over the city one after the other. The UFOs were described as being large glowing lights moving on a set trajectory. Witnesses insisted that what they saw were neither planes or rockets.

This part of Russia is not just a UFO hot spot but an area of mystery and anomalous activity in general. The Siberian Yeti is believed by many to roam this region.

Shortly after the UFO sighting a number of tornadoes hit the area prompting some to suggest a link between the two events.

US: 2 See Disk Shaped Object That Illuminated the Clouds

Location of Sighting: Seattle, Washington

Description: I was at my computer when a friend on my balcony. My friend waved me over to see the glowing object that came up in the east and traveled south. At times it would hover, dart in all different directions, and it appeared and disappeared in the clouds. The object displayed a light show of orange and yellow lights with flashes of green. At times the lights looked like fireballs. We watched one shoot upwards past another witch looked like a fireball and illuminated the clouds with a bright light. Using binoculars we were able to see the disk shape, which had rings of light on the outer edge and center with 3 large lights in the center ring. We had viewed this on the roof of Queen Anne Hill. It was truly amazing to watch.

Cyprus: Strange sighting of UFO near Paphos

Four residents spotted a strange light zipping across the coast off Paphos on Thursday night in the latest in a series of incidents of unidentified objects in our skies.

The UFO was clearly seen by John Knowles, a research specialist with Mutual UFO Network, he told the Cyprus Mail the sighting took place near Coral Bay and is appealing for more witnesses.

It was heading towards Paphos just off the coast, slow moving and a very bright fireball, so there may very well have been other witnesses."

"We had been watching the crescent moon set in Coral Bay. In the darkened skies, as we looked out to sea, an unknown object flying in a north-south direction crossed the sky in front of us. Altitude was about 300 feet, speed about 200 mph or less.

Not long ago, the Examiner was presented with a hand full of photographs from a friend that were shot from a bedroom window. The images appear to show an object in the sky. The story goes that this friend awoke at about 4:45 in the morning one day last summer to go to the bathroom. When he returned to the bedroom, he looked out the bedroom window and noticed a strange series of lights. At first, he thought the lights were just a passing airplane. That area of Buffalo is directly under an air route and planes do often fly low as they approach the Buffalo International Airport. But then he noticed that the lights were brighter and arranged differently than airplane lights. In his words, the lights were more pronounced and more distinct than the images show. He said that they looked like "a glowing string of pearls in the sky." He fetched his camera and shot a series of photos of the object as is slowly moved toward him and then as it banked and turned and moved out of sight of the window. And these in this slideshow below are the images that he says that he took of it.

Triangle UFO hovers low over Indiana field - five helicopters give chase

The UFO Traffic Report for Friday, July 24, 2009, includes nine selected sightings over eight states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Just outside of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Fayette County, on July 10, 2009, there was a reported Bigfoot sighting. A team from the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society investigated, including Stan Gordon, Eric Altman, Dave Dragosin, and Dave's wife Cindy. The witness was driving when she swerved to avoid hitting a figure in the roadway, and she soon realized it was a "strange creature." You can read the incident report here. This piece of Pennsylvania has a long history in both UFO and Bigfoot creature sightings.

White House Press Secretary Gibbs fields a question on UFOs in this video recorded this morning on C-SPAN.

A Seattle caller asks the Obama White House for transparency in government to include making an announcement on the existence of UFOs.

Gibbs responds that he takes the caller's question seriously, but states that he has not been briefed by the president on the subject of UFOs.

Colombia: A UFO Over Envigado?

The night skies on July 20th were illuminated not only by the pyrotechnics that celebrate the 199th anniversary of Colombia's independence. The clear skies over Envigado made it possible to see what Isabel Christina Fernández believes was a very large object that remained static in the firmament for over half an hour.

At around 10:40 pm, Isable went out to the balcony of her home on Loma del Esmeraldal and was startled to see a distant light of considerable size and a rhomboidal shape. She waited until 11:00 p.m. to see if the object vanished,but it remained visible.

Russian Navy UFO records say aliens love oceans

The Russian navy has declassified its records of encounters with unidentified objects technologically surpassing anything humanity ever built, reports Svobodnaya Pressa news website. The records dating back to soviet times were compiled by a special navy group collecting reports of unexplained incidents delivered by submarines and military ships. The group was headed by deputy Navy commander Admiral Nikolay Smirnov, and the documents reveal numerous cases of possible UFO encounters, the website says.

Vladimir Azhazha, former navy officer and a famous Russian UFO researcher, says the materials are of great value.

"Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more - with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water," he said.

US: Man Sees Black Disk Shaped Object Hovering 1,500 Feet Above Ground

Location of Sighting: Maysville, North Carolina (See Map)

Description: I saw an object that was about 50 feet in diameter. It was hovering in place at approximately 1,500 feet in elevation. I was due east of my location on Brighttown Road in Maysville. It was black and of disk shape.

Note: Most sightings that we receive occur at night. Day sightings like this are generally more compelling due to improved visibility. Most disk objects are gray or silver. The black color sets this sighting apart from the "characteristic" disks. There is a chance that the object could have been silver, but appeared black due to sun exposure and the time of day.

Witness Statement: Having just let my cat out I happened to look out of our landing window on the way back to bed. I saw a really bright white light - it was shaped a bit like a rugby ball and was moving fast heading north, it stayed at the same level - it did not go up and down or zigzag - It did not change colour.

It was below the clouds, but I couldn't tell you how high it was - not thousands of feet up though.

Witness Statement: Saturday 18th July 2009 at 22.35 Hrs a low flying orange light approached my house from the west, as it neared, following behind were three more flying in a equilateral triangle formation, I watched these fly overhead (top of Springfield Rd, St James), and then noticed four more following, these were in a close but irregular formation.
