Witness Statement: On 21st of July 2009 at midnight I got off the bus at Long Eaton Green when suddenly my phone stopped playing music and crashed.

I looked up and saw a red light with an orange center moving across the sky from South to North at a rate of knots.

I am extremely familiar with both military and civilian aircraft and this thing was neither. It displayed none of the usual port / starboard lights and was not flashing.

It appeared to be at a fairly high altitude and varied in brightness from a bright orange to a dull red.

As soon as I got home I immediately checked the position of the International Space Station, which was over Africa at the time.
