England: Very large orange ball stays in one spot for 15 minutes and then disappears

Location of Sighting: Runcorn, Cheshire
Date of Sighting: December 12th 2009
Time: 10.45pm

Witness Statement: My son and I were looking at Orion, when we noticed a very large, what we originally thought was a star. When we looked at it through binoculars it was a large round orange ball. There was a slight mist but I could still make the ball out quite clearly. This ball sat in the south eastern sky just above a TV aerial, which I used as a marker and stood in the same spot throughout. This happened for about 15 minutes and my son and I (who is 7) were discussing that it may not be a planet but a ufo and we used a torch to flash at it a few times, when the ball just disappeared in to thin air in the blink of an eye.

England: Dozens of large ojbects doing maneuvers in night sky

Location of Sighting: Lichfield Staffordshire A51

Time: 2115HRS

Witness Statement: I was driving along the A51 just outside Lichfield when I saw about a dozen large objects at varying heights and distances moving across the sky. One moment they seemed to be static then some gained height at speed and then split in different directions only to then gain more significant height and move downwards. Three of the objects then formed a small triangle of different height and then maintained a triangle which was heading towards a number of stars which were also in a triangle formation. Each of the three objects were totally in line with the star formation. There were no anti collision lights, port or starboard aircraft lights and no aircraft noise.

Witness Statement: I saw an orange light ascend - similar in color to a sodium street light - it must have been many miles away - it rose about 15 degrees above horizon and then started traveling east. But the very very weird thing is that it was rising and dipping and rising and dipping - til it eventually dipped too low. Having traveled from precisely due south to about 30 or 40 degrees east before losing sight - no sound - constant color and brightness. But the rising and dipping was way too quick to be a chopper or plane. About the distance I can only definitely say that it was beyond the silhouette of the tree line which is half a mile from my house. Other than that I do think it was several miles distant.

Given the ultra-rigorous requirements of the times, and the horrendous batteries of tests to which men like Cooper were subjected during their selection process, Col. Cooper (along with his six colleagues) was deemed a man amongst men -- certainly, the crème de la' crème amongst aviators in America.

Cooper, a superb fighter pilot (brilliant on F-104Gs), flew the longest spaceflight of the Mercury project; he was the first American to sleep in orbit; and the last American to launch alone into Earth orbit and conduct an entire solo orbital mission

The problem was that he was also a man who refused to tow the party line, and -- unlike his more 'compliant' colleagues -- a chap who always insisted on telling it like it was, and damn the orders. (continued...)

Nova Scotia hasn't OK'd licence to dig for storied treasure

Dan Blankenship is 86 and getting pretty fed up the province hasn't approved the licence that would allow him and his partners to start digging for treasure on Oak Island.

It'll be two years next June since Mr. Blankenship and his four business partners applied for a treasure trove licence. Between them, they own 78 per cent of the island, including the money pit where many believe there could be treasure.

Mr. Blankenship has a letter from 1894 in which the province first granted permission for someone to look for treasure on Oak Island. The Treasure Trove Act was introduced in 1954 specifically to deal with Oak Island, but that act is now under review.

US: Speculation on new views of Area 51

Good Afternoon, I was just scanning over my Google maps Area 51 site and noticed a few things that perplexed me, and I was wondering if you or anyone had already seen these items or had an explanation for them.

I have included the areas of interest to me and I am hoping that you can shed some light on this.

The fact that there is a lot of construction going on within the base, plus what seems like they are definitely building underground areas in these construction zones, due to how deep they have dug into the desert surface.

I think it is plausible that underground hangers and research labs or any number of underground structures exist within Area 51.

US: Dancing Lights in Sky Shine Through Clouds & Spiral In & Out

Location of Sighting: San Antonio, Texas (Near Randolph Air Force Base)

Description: Listen to Clip of Witness Interview (MP3)

The witness (who originally submitted a report) and her husband saw the "dancing lights" shining downward through the clouds. The lights would rotate (clockwise) and then spiral in and out from the center. The lights were observed for nearly 90 minutes. The witness (wife) grew up in a military family and is very familiar with conventional (and military) aircraft. The witness's husband is an Air Force Veteran. The witnesses were both interviewed and stated that the lights looked quite similar to a video taken in Fort Worth, Texas on October 10, 2009.

Time: 7.30/7.45pm

Witness Statement: At around 7.45pm Saturday the 28th of November 2009, I witnessed the strangest thing I have ever seen driving from the cross roads at Uphall traveling towards Broxburn on the A89. When looking in the direction of the airport on the horizon I could see a large glowing orange light, it was glowing like a fire in the sky kind of oval in shape. I watched this object thinking initially that it was a very strange aircraft going to land at Edinburgh Airport but then realised there were no visible strobes on this object and it seemed to be still moving towards my direction.

Witness Statement: I have been seeing lots of strange lights in the sky for some time now in my area. Tonight I was outside as normal and this time I saw not just a light I saw a spaceship. I saw it a clear as daylight, because it went over my head, I also had my binoculars with me, so I could see clearly that it was not a plane, it was a shape that I have never seen before. Something is going on, to many strange things are flying about in this area.

England: White object with red and blue lights sighted high in the sky

Time: 1:00 - 2:15 AM

Witness Statement: Just before 1:00 AM myself, my wife and two friends witnessed a craft holding it's position high in the sky. It is still there as I type at 2:15 AM (first seen 1hr 15 minutes ago)

The craft is bright white with red and blue lights flashing on it, it has held it's position and at times moved from left to right, there is no sound at all from the unidentified craft, due to it holding it's position for so long it is not a plane or any other man made vehicle I can think of, it's also too close to be a space station or satellite.
