Location of Sighting: Uphall, West Lothan
Date of Sighting: 28th November 2009
Time: 7.30/7.45pm

Witness Statement: At around 7.45pm Saturday the 28th of November 2009, I witnessed the strangest thing I have ever seen driving from the cross roads at Uphall traveling towards Broxburn on the A89. When looking in the direction of the airport on the horizon I could see a large glowing orange light, it was glowing like a fire in the sky kind of oval in shape. I watched this object thinking initially that it was a very strange aircraft going to land at Edinburgh Airport but then realised there were no visible strobes on this object and it seemed to be still moving towards my direction.

By the time I had reached Loaninghill roundabout, I was sure it was no craft or light I had ever seen in the sky before. I quickly drew up to a friends house and shouted for them to come out they ran outside with their 2 children and witnessed with me the orange glowing light move across the sky, we watched it until the roof of the house was obscuring the view and then decided to run through the house and out the back to carry on watching. By the time we had reached the back garden we could no longer see an orange glowing light, we searched the sky for a good few seconds and then saw a disc or sphere shape pass under the moonlit clouds no noise was heard by anyone and it was either just under the clouds or just starting to pass through it eventually it moved to darker cloudier area of the sky until we lost sight of it, I have been buzzed ever since please tell if anyone else saw or heard of this.

One thing for sure is this was far to big to be a chinese lantern and and there is no way it could keep ascending once the light went out, as it was to cold and a lantern would have just dropped from the sky after the light went out with no heat to keep it up.
