Tap water toxins: 170 million Americans in 50 states exposed radioactive tap water

© Natural News
Drinking water for more than 170 million Americans in all 50 states contains radioactive elements that may increase the risk of cancer, according to an EWG investigation released today.

Radiation in tap water is a serious health threat, especially during pregnancy, and the Environmental Protection Agency's legal limits for the most widespread radioactive elements are more than 40 years old. But President Trump's nominee to be the White House environment czar rejects the need for water systems to comply even with those inadequate standards.

Comment: Tap water toxins:
The Safe Drinking Water Act only regulates 91 potential water contaminants. In the US alone, over 60,000 chemicals are used that can find their way into water supplies. Many of them have been identified as possible carcinogens. Current estimates suggest that there is more than 2,100 known chemical toxins present in U.S. tap water. Cities with older pipelines also face problems as chemicals leach from the lines as the water travels.[3]

Unlike anti-depressants, psilocybin mushrooms can actually cure depression

pills vs mushrooms
A revolutionary new study is once again revealing a natural approach to be far superior to big pharma solutions-this time involving psilocybin, the active compound in magic mushrooms.

The study, published in the scientific journal Neuropharmacology, found that clinically depressed people had increased neural responses to fearful faces one day after a psilocybin-assisted therapy session, which positively predicted positive clinical outcomes.

"Psilocybin-assisted therapy might mitigate depression by increasing emotional connection," neuroscientist and study author Leor Roseman, a Ph.D. student at Imperial College London, explained to PsyPost.

This is almost the exact opposite of how standard anti-depressants operate, as SSRI's typically work by creating an "emotional blunting."

"[T]his is unlike SSRI antidepressants which are criticized for creating in many people a general emotional blunting," noted Roseman.

Mental Health, Inc. exposes the greed and cronyism behind some of Big Pharma's worst excesses

book
© New York Journal of Books
An excellent new book by Art Levine exposes how "indifferent professional associations, pharmaceutical-subsidized patient advocacy groups and government regulators that either push a drug-industry agenda or fail to halt what amounts to an epidemic of behavioral health malpractice" enable Pharma's worst excesses.

Toddlers drugged with psychiatric medication? Elderly in nursing homes dosed to make them manageable? Soldiers and veterans driven to suicide from their medication? Mental patients given drugs that cause diabetes and extreme obesity and lead to more dangerous drugs? It's all there in Mental Health, Inc: How Corruption, Lax Oversight and Failed Reforms Endanger our Most Vulnerable Citizens, including psychiatric drugs that should never have been approved to begin with and "religious" youth treatment centers that abuse the young people in their care.

Sand-eating Lithuanian woman claims eating a 'mineral diet' cured her brain tumor (VIDEO)

Woman eating sand
© Ruptly
An elderly Lithuanian woman, who claims to be living on a sand-only diet that has drastically improved her health, is sharing her helpful insights with anyone interested in trying this totally inedible fare. Talk about true grit.

Stanislava Monstvilene, 70, from Lithuania claims she has been living for more than a decade consuming nothing but sand. The substance, known to be utterly indigestible, has not only made her healthier but has even cured her brain tumor, she claims.

"I had a late stage brain tumor. They said I wouldn't last long. My hemoglobin level was 60 [some five times over the normal range]," Monstvilene told Ruptly. "I was passing by and once an idea came to my mind - take the sand and eat it. For the first time I choked but then I got used to it."

As times passed the woman not only became accustomed to her new diet - she even developed an addiction for it. Although she has since overcome the uncontrollable craving for sand, she still swears by the mineral-rich "food," claiming she experiences health problems without it.

Surprise! Safety of childhood vaccination schedule still unproven

vaccines
© Gary TaxaliMother Jones Magazine
Recently, an article by Joanna Nix was published in Mother Jones magazine titled "There is a Whole Cottage Industry of Doctors Helping Parents Skip Their Kids' Vaccines".1 The aim of the piece appears to be to attack and try to discredit physicians who exercise professional judgment and provide medical vaccine exemptions for children they conclude may be at increased risk for harm if they are vaccinated according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) childhood vaccination schedule.

Nix is uncomfortable with doctors who, according to her, seem "eager" to "flout the recommendations" of the CDC in the name of "parent choice."1 The implication here is two-fold. First, that such doctors are somehow irresponsible for exercising independent professional judgment when it comes to their patients and vaccination. And second, that the informed consent rights of parents to make important decisions for their children that involve medical risk taking are less important than strictly adhering to the CDC's one-size-fits-all vaccination schedule.

Fever following a vaccine may be common, but it's never normal

vaccine baby
So many doctors and nurses routinely state on social media that in all their years of practice, they've never seen a serious vaccine reaction... but they have.

If they've never seen any clinically obvious severe reactions, it's likely because children suffering them are generally rushed from home straight to the ER, not back to the clinic or office where the vaccines were given.

To wit, the testimony of pediatrician Dr. Toni Bark, who tells us that while in her position as Director of a hospital pediatric emergency room she'd initially been very upset if parents brought in children who weren't up to date on vaccines, but her attitude soon changed, and changed drastically. She began to see patterns:

"Children who were seen in the vaccine clinic would then come to our ER with seizures, respiratory arrest and asthma attacks. I began to realize, not all children respond well to vaccination and in fact, some die." (1)

And from an ER nurse who calls himself Guerilla RN:

"As an E.R. nurse, I have seen the cover up. Where do you think kids go when they have a vaccine reaction? They go to the E.R. They come to me...The child comes in with either a fever approaching 105, or seizures, or lethargy/can't wake up, or sudden overwhelming sickness, screaming that won't stop, spasms, GI inclusion, etc." (2)

Bethany Walker flu death
Bethany Walker contracted the flu virus which developed into pneumonia
An 18-year-old woman has died in hospital after catching the flu virus.

Bethany Walker, from Applecross in Wester Ross, had been suffering from the virus at home before it developed into pneumonia.

She was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where she died last Friday.

Her mother Heather Teale paid tribute to her "beautiful girl", describing her as "the best daughter I could have ever wished for".

Details of the teenager's death emerged as official figures confirmed the number of flu cases in Scotland has doubled in the last week.

SOTT Focus: The Health & Wellness Show: Lies, Damned Lies and Scientific Research

bad science, corruption science
Evidence-based medicine (peer-reviewed and published clinical research results) is the life-blood of conventional medical knowledge and practice. All standard allopathic medical treatments rest upon it with physicians relying on the results of this clinical research to guide their practice. But what if this gold standard of medical practice is based on research that is largely wrong, biased or outright fraudulent? It is estimated that up to 90% of biomedical studies are false. More and more scientific papers are being retracted because of sloppy research, data calculation and collection errors or purposeful lying on the part of researchers. We've gotten to the point where that anything read in a scientific journal needs to be take with a large grain of salt.

In this episode of the Health and Wellness Show we explore the dubious nature of scientific study; the conflicts of interest, the hidden (and not so hidden) corporate funding that guides research, the censorship of negative results and the lies and obfuscation that plague so-called evidence based studies.

Brain cancer breakthrough: Reovirus injected into blood attacks brain tumors and stimulates the immune system

virus kills brain tumors
By injecting a virus into the bloodstream through an IV drip, scientists may have found a treatment for brain cancer that attacks tumors and stimulates the body’s immune system.
Scientists may have made a major breakthrough in treating - and potentially defeating - cancerous brain tumors by injecting patients with a virus that actually stimulates the immune system.

Researchers at the University of Leeds conducted a study on nine patients battling fast-growing gliomas, which are aggressive tumors that are tough to treat and typically come with a grim outlook. The participants were scheduled to have the tumors removed surgically, but in the days prior to the procedure, they were injected with the naturally occurring "reovirus" through an IV drip.

Reovirus has been shown to attack cancer cells without impacting healthier cells in the body.

Once in the bloodstream, the virus would have to pass through the protective membrane surrounding the brain known as the blood-brain barrier in order to take a toll on the tumors. If this could happen, they predicted the virus could replicate once inside the tumors and kill cancerous cells.

Oxford University researchers give TB vaccine to African babies, despite drug killing 5 monkeys during trials

Oxford University researchers have been accused of acting unethically after they gave an anti-tuberculosis vaccine to African babies despite the jab having killed five monkeys during tests.

The vaccine was given to almost 1,400 infants in South Africa, regardless of evidence that monkeys were "dying rapidly" after taking it, according to Professor Peter Beverley, a former senior academic at the university. The babies were not harmed by the jab, though they were not protected from the deadly disease.

It emerged on Wednesday night, following an investigation by the British Medical Journal, that an information sheet in 2009 told the babies' parents that the MVA85A vaccine was "shown to be safe and effective." The documents, however, omitted to advise that the test had caused the death of the animals.

Professor Jimmy Volmink, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University, told The Telegraph the discrepancy between the information given to parents and the actual evidence, was "not right."

Comment: More on the tuberculosis vaccine:
"The world's biggest trial (conducted in south India) to assess the value of BCG tuberculosis vaccine has made the startling revelation that the vaccine 'does not give any protection against bacillary forms of tuberculosis.' The study said to be 'most exhaustive and meticulous,' was launched in 1968 by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia.

"The incidence of new cases among the BCG vaccinated group was slightly (but statistically insignificantly) higher than in the control group, a finding that led to the conclusion that BCG's protective effect 'was zero.'" New Scientist, November 15, 1979, as quoted by Hans Ruesch in Naked Empress, Civis Publishers, Switzerland, 1982.

"Between 10 December 1929 and 30 April 1930, 251 of 412 infants born in Lubeck received three doses of BCG vaccine by the mouth during the first ten days of life. Of these 251, 72 died of tuberculosis, most of them in two to five months and all but one before the end of the first year. In addition, 135 suffered from clinical tuberculosis but eventually recovered; and 44 became tuberculin-positive but remained well. None of the 161 unvaccinated infants born at the time was affected in this way and none of these died of tuberculosis within the following three years." Hazards of Immunization, Wilson.
