A Youtuber says her father was relieved of his position as an Apple engineer after she posted an unauthorized video of the new iPhone X online before the device's official release.

Brooke Amelia Peterson has issued a tearful Youtube video explaining how a "hands-on" look at the unreleased smartphone resulted in her father being let go from the tech giant.

Peterson said she woke up last Tuesday to find that a video she published containing footage of the iPhone X went viral, leading her to appear on the Youtube trending page.

Havana will lift some hurdles to make it easier for Cuban-Americans to visit the island, Cuba's foreign minister said. The move comes amid tensions between the two neighbors over allegations of mystery "sonic attacks" on US diplomats in Cuba.

"The US government closes, and Cuba opens," Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez told a meeting of Cuban Americans in Washington on Sunday. He said Cubans residing in the US will no longer need to have their national passports reviewed by the Cuban Embassy to prove their eligibility to travel to the island.

The government will also eliminate the 'prerequisite' requiring children of foreign-born Cubans to reside in Cuba for at least 90 days before obtaining Cuban citizenship, Rodriguez said, according to the Havana Times. He also promised Havana will legalize Cubans who fled the country illegally, allowing them to visit Cuba.

Body of former bioweapons expert, David Kelly, moved and cremated amid threats from suicide skeptics

The body of David Kelly, a UK bioweapons expert who died shortly after being grilled in Parliament, has been removed and reportedly cremated over threats of illegal exhumation by people who believe he may have been murdered.

Kelly was one of the scientists who consulted the MI6 on Saddam Hussein's program of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), due to his experience as a UN inspector in Iraq. He was involved in compiling the Britain's 'Iraq dossier' - a document used to justify the invasion of the country the following year.

In 2003, he was exposed as a confidential source behind a BBC report saying the claim that Iraq can launch a WMD attack against Europe in just 45 minutes was placed in the dossier to "sex it up." He was grilled by a Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the Parliament and died two days later. The death was ruled to be suicide, but the circumstances sparked speculation that he may have been killed.

The late expert's body was removed from its grave on the request of the family, which was concerned that a group called Justice for Kelly, which doubts the official version of his death, may "desecrate" it, the British media reported on Sunday. The body was allegedly cremated.

Cop keeps his job after mistaking a camera for a gun and shooting an innocent reporter

cop shoots journalist
While setting up his camera to cover the news, a Clark County Sheriff's deputy opened fire on Andy Grimm-a local newspaper reporter-after he mistook the man's camera for a gun. This incident was recorded on the officer's body camera and there was no dispute that he negligently shot an innocent man.

For shooting an innocent man, the public and police accountability activists called for the immediate firing and prosecution of Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Shaw. However, because he is backed by the thin blue line, instead of being fired or prosecuted Shaw was given a paid vacation and is now back on the job.

As the Springfield News-Sun reports, he returned to work Saturday, Oct. 21, after he was cleared by a psychiatrist and was assigned to the jail division, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Shaw had been working on the road patrol at the time of the shooting.

According to a representative from their office, the Ohio Attorney General's Office is still conducting their own investigation into the shooting. However, the length of time they are taking in this cut and dry case shows they may just be waiting for the coverage to die down before clearing the officer.

Grimm told the paper that he is waiting on the results of the investigation.

Pope says Christians must preserve their moral values, revitalize Europe amid 'dramatic sterility'

Europe is suffering from "dramatic sterility," Pope Francis has said, urging Christians to preserve their moral values and to "revitalize" a continent that is increasingly being distinguished by a plurality of cultures and religions.

"In our day, Christians are called to revitalize Europe and to revive its conscience, not by occupying spaces, but by generating processes capable of awakening new energies in society," Pope Francis said addressing European political and church leaders at the Vatican.

After two World Wars ripped through the continent, Europe deserves peace, the Pope said, expressing disappointment that "particular and national agendas risk thwarting the courageous dreams of the founders of Europe."

To preserve European values, the Argentinian-born leader of the Catholic Church urged his followers to rediscover their traditional identity, starting with the family, which, he said, "remains the most fundamental place for this process of discovery."
The Pope noted that Christians must pass on the values of past generations to their offsprings as Europe is suffering a period of "dramatic sterility" which began in the 1960s.

Martins and Hall were working as narcotics officers in south Brooklyn on Sept. 15 when they arrested an 18-year-old girl on the allegation that she was illegally possessing cannabis and an anti-anxiety drug. They drove her to a Coney Island Chipotle parking lot, "where Martins raped her and both of the officers forced her to perform oral sex, she has alleged through her lawyer," according to the report.

An 83-year-old Russian woman has been shamelessly robbed in her own apartment by a policeman who came to her 'rescue' after fraudsters tried to swindle the victim out of a substantial sum of cash she was saving for a "rainy day."

Earlier this week, a pair of con artists rang the doorbell of the 83-year-old Moscow resident. Introducing themselves as friends of the would-be victim's sister, the scam artists told the grandmother that her sibling needed urgent and expensive surgery.

The swindlers then waited outside while the old lady hastily raked up all the cash she had in her house, which according to relatives, was "saved for a rainy day."

As the victim of the scam rushed to hand over the money to the fraudsters, the concierge of the building stopped her to inquire as to what was happening. After the woman explained that she's rushing to save her sister, the concierge suspected something amiss and called her relatives. They assured the old woman that her sister was alright and in good health.
