Gaetz's decision comes after several weeks of conservative users proving that they've been subject to "Quality Filter Discrimination" (QFD) shadowbans, as well as a "glitch" reported by VICE that excluded user's names from auto-populating search results.Hungary to oppose 'shadowbanning' of 'Christian, conservative, and right-wing' voices online
During an appearance with Fox's Tucker Carlson, Gaetz announced that he had filed the FEC complaint, which "gives his political rivals an unfair advantage," reports Cassandra Fairbanks of the Gateway Pundit.
"Tech companies thus violate all those fundamental democratic legal norms that form the basis of Western-type culture," she accused, adding that "we could... only learn about the system-wide practice of shadow banning from a now-leaked voice recording of the Twitter CEO [Jack Dorsey].Kim Dotcom accuses Twitter of 'shadowbanning' pro-Assange tweets: 'Deep state controls social media to control you'
"Twitter just shadowbanned my Julian Assange tweets, again. You should know that Twitter is not on your side," Dotcom tweeted, railing against the platform's murky censorship practices.Twitter tells Trump that it does not 'shadowban,' then admits that it does
"If you want to read my free speech and that of many other censored voices you have to visit our Twitter profiles. The deep state controls social media to control you."
In response to growing outrage over the practice of "shadow banning" conservatives, as confirmed last week by the liberal publication VICE and promptly tweeted about by President Trump, Twitter issued a strange explanation to "set the record straight," where they explicitly state that they do not engage in the practice - except then they describe how they do exactly that. What the EU would like might be something more substantial than mere shadow banning."People are asking us if we shadow ban. We do not. But let's start with, "what is shadow banning?"Then, Twitter reiterates they don't shadow ban - with the caveat in parentheses that you may need to go directly to the timeline of some users in order to see their tweets. (tee hee!)

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) revealed that his nephew was one of the rallygoers nicked by a would-be assassin's bullet during a campaign event for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Jackson, who previously served as Trump's physician and chief White House medical adviser during his administration, said he and family were gathered at the Butler Farm Show grounds to hear the former president speak — before shots began to ring out.
"They heard the shots, and everybody dropped to the ground," he told Fox News' Sean Hannity later that evening.
They heard the shots," Jackson said of his nephew and sister-in-law who attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. "He was grazed in the neck, a bullet crossed his neck, cut his neck and he was bleeding,".Jackson added, pointing out that the friends and family pen where they were staged was "in the line of fire."
The 45th president was nearly shot dead himself but revealed in a Truth Social post after visiting a Pittsburgh-area hospital that he "felt the bullet ripping through [his] skin," and that it "pierced the upper part of my right ear."
Another attendee was killed and two were critically injured in the shooting, US Secret Service later confirmed.
Jackson's nephew was also attended to in a triage tent after the incident.

Law enforcement and Secret Service were apparently on the opposite side of the roof to where the shooter was crawling, which was pitched away from their line of sight, the man said. BBC News asked what happened to the shooter, and if the man saw anything.
"Oh yeah, they blew his head off," the man replied. Following the death of the alleged shooter, Secret Service "crawled up on the roof, they had their guns pointed at him" to make sure he was dead, "and that was it, it was over."
His campaign confirmed Trump was "fine" following the incident. As he was whisked off stage by Secret Service, Trump could be seen shouting "FIGHT!" to his supporters.

There were explosives, including an IED, found inside a car driven by Thomas Matthew Crooks found parked near the scene of the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, sources confirmed to Fox News. The sources could not say how many explosives or what kind, but emphasized that more than one was found.
In Crooks' house, law enforcement found bomb-making materials, the sources told Fox News.
The sources could not immediately say whether the materials found at the home rose to the level of explosive devices, as well, at this stage of the investigation.
The Wall Street Journal first reported, citing people briefed on the investigation, that law enforcement discovered the car, driven by Crooks, parked near the rally. The Journal said authorities dispatched bomb technicians after police received multiple reports of suspicious packages near where the shooter was located.
The newspaper's sources added that investigators remained at the scene well into the night to make sure it was clear and also conducted a search of Crooks' home and spoke with his family.
Law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that bomb-making materials were found inside Crooks' vehicle and bomb-making materials were also found at his home. The two officials were not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.
Investigators believe the firearm Crooks used had been purchased by Crooks' father at least six months ago, two law enforcement officials told the AP. Federal agents were still working to understand when and how his son obtained the gun, and to gather additional information about Crooks, according to the officials.
The FBI early Sunday identified Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, "as the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump on July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania."
The bureau said the investigation remains active and ongoing and encourages anyone with information to submit photos or videos online at fbi.gov/butler or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
Crooks reportedly shot at Trump from a rooftop perch some 130 yards away during a rally in the small town, striking the upper part of Trump's right ear while the former president was speaking to rallygoers. It happened ahead of the Republican National Convention, which is scheduled to kick off on Monday in Milwaukee.
Comment: This follows Germany's ban of the red inverted triangle due to its links with Hamas, and an earlier policy whereby new citizens must pledge their belief that 'Israel has a right to exist'.
It's rather telling that the German state suddenly feels compelled - and at liberty - to ban symbols whose 'controversial' nature is still up for discussion. Particularly a nation with a history such as Germany's.
