Reports continue to emerge that Israel is implementing the 'General's Plan' to force Palestinians to leave their homes or starve in northern Gaza

Israeli military strikes killed at least 55 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on 15 October, as Israel continues its operation, known as the Generals' Plan, to expel northern Gaza's remaining 300,000 Palestinian inhabitants.

Palestinian health officials reported at least 11 people killed by Israeli fire on Tuesday near the Al-Falouja neighborhood in Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, while 10 more were killed when an Israeli missile targeted a house in Bani Suhaila in Khan Yunis in the south of the strip.

Earlier on Tuesday, another Israeli airstrike destroyed three houses in the Sabra suburb of Gaza City. Rescue workers said they recovered two bodies from the destroyed homes, while 12 others believed to have been in the houses at the time of the strike remain missing.

UK police union rep suspended for telling the truth

Rick Prior Chair of the Met Police Federation

You really couldn't make this stuff up.

Rick Prior, the Chair of the Met Police Federation, recently gave an interview to GB News highlighting the fact that some police officers are reluctant to engage with members of ethnic minorities because they could be labelled as being 'discriminatory'. Prior was then duly suspended by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) for being discriminatory.

As a serving officer, I can tell you that the fear of suspension, or worse, if an interaction 'goes wrong' is all pervading. Aside from the obvious physical dangers, we know there are many activists and keyboard warriors out there who are just waiting to take some phone footage out of context and put it online, along with their mischievous interpretation of events. Also (and this is far worse), we know that police senior management will hang an officer out to dry if it means extricating themselves from any blame, regardless of context. They can then point to a 'rogue officer' rather than address any failings at a strategic level - of which there are many.

Pub landlords could have to become 'banter cops' to stop themselves being sued by staff offended by comments from customers under workers' rights reforms

bar drinks
Pub bosses may have to become 'banter cops' to stop themselves from being sued by staff who are offended by customers under Labour's new reforms.

Business leaders have warned that the incoming Employment Rights Bill will make employers liable for their staff being offended by the public.

Bosses will legally have to take 'all reasonable steps' to prevent harassment by third parties relating to protected characteristics, including sex, gender reassignment or age.

Joking aside, this is yet another example of the Labour government tightening its control over the public, see also:

Walgreens to shutter 1,200 stores nationwide, says 1 in 4 locations are unprofitable

Walgreens announced that it will shutter 1,200 stores over the next three years — and 500 locations in 2025 alone — as the drugstore giant seeks to slash $1 billion in costs.

The Chicago-based pharmacy chain, which has around 8,700 locations nationwide, told analysts on Tuesday that one in four of its stores are unprofitable.

The closures were announced in June but the company had not disclosed the number of affected stores at that time. It had said it could shutter up to a quarter of stores, which is more than 2,000 locations.

Walgreens did not disclose which locations will be shuttered or how many jobs would be eliminated.

Comment: It would be an interesting exercise to map those store closings against Democrat-run cities. Probably a lot of overlap.

Americans' trust in media is at new record low, Gallup poll finds

Americans' trust in the news media is at a new, record low, with only 31% expressing a "great deal" or "fair amount" of trust and confidence in the media to report the news "fully, accurately and fairly."

That's according to a recent poll from Gallup, which surveyed 1,007 adults aged 18 and older from Sept. 3-15, 2024.

The poll found Americans were most likely to have trust in local and state governments.

Here's what Gallup's poll found:

Violence has been normalized

During the misnamed and mostly preposterous debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, a moderator fact-checked Trump's claim that crime is up.

In contrast to Trump's claim, moderator David Muir said that the FBI reports that crime is down, a claim that likely struck every viewer as obviously wrong.

Shoplifting was not a way of life before lockdowns. Most cities were not demographic minefields of danger around every corner. There was no such thing as a drugstore with nearly all products behind locked Plexiglas.

We weren't warned of spots in cities, even medium-sized ones, where carjacking was a real risk.

It is wildly obvious that high crime in the U.S. is endemic, with ever less respect for person and property. As for the FBI's statistics, they're worth about as much as most data coming from federal agencies these days.

They're there for purposes of propaganda, manipulated to present the most favorable picture possible to help the regime.

Investigation: open-border policies fueling sex-trafficking surge

sex trafficking
A chilling investigation has unveiled how sex trafficking is rapidly expanding across the United States, largely fueled by migrants crossing the southern border. Under current U.S. immigration policies, traffickers are exploiting vulnerable migrant women and children at an unprecedented rate. They lure them with promises of work and then force them into prostitution, as revealed by The Free Press.

The investigation centers around Lisa (not her real name), a former telecom engineer who now dedicates her life to tracking sex-trafficking rings. Lisa runs Shepherd's Watch, a nonprofit group that works with law enforcement to identify traffickers and rescue victims.

"Law enforcement is understaffed and stretched too thin," she explained to The Free Press. "That's where we come in."

Lisa's small team of investigators provides crucial intelligence to police departments across Texas and beyond.

The mechanics of social disintegration in the modern age

wall of separation
The fabric of society seems more frayed than ever. We find ourselves increasingly separated, our perspectives polarized, and our interactions marked by an almost tribal hostility. From political ideologies to social issues, from cultural preferences to economic policies, deep rifts appear to estrange us from our neighbors, colleagues, and even family members. What were once disagreements have widened into seemingly impassable chasms, with each side viewing the other not just as misguided but as an existential threat.

Historical Context and Anthropological Insights

The amplification of social divisions is not a new phenomenon, but rather an age-old strategy employed by those in power. Throughout history, leaders and influential groups have recognized the potency of a fractured populace. The Roman principle of "divide et impera" (divide and rule) echoes through the centuries, finding new expression in our modern, hyper-connected world. This age-old strategy of division manifests today in various forms, as we'll explore.

Comment: Society is being set against itself for the purpose of being further controlled and destroyed as a whole. How much of the damage already done can be prevented from getting even worse? What's even possible at such a late date? Or are these the wrong questions - and should we continue to kindly point out the truth for those with, more or less, ears to hear?

Poll: Majority of voters favor a federal ban on transgender procedures for minors

Demonstrators gather on the steps of the Montana State Capitol
© Thom Bridge/Independent Record via AP, FileFILE - Demonstrators gather on the steps of the Montana State Capitol protesting anti-LGBTQ+ legislation on March 15, 2021, in Helena, Mont. Montana health officials have made permanent a rule that blocks transgender people from changing their birth certificates even if they undergo gender-confirmation surgery.
On many issues surrounding trans rights and students or youth, the GOP has public opinion on their side...'

Most registered voters, 59%, support a federal ban on transgender procedures such as puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgeries for minors, a new national poll found.

The strongest support for a federal ban came from registered Republicans (82%), while the lowest amount of support for it came from registered Democrats (36%). Independents polled offered majority support for a ban, with 56% in favor.

The Center Square Voters' Voice Poll was conducted by Noble Predictive Insights between Oct.2-4 and surveyed 2,560 registered voters. The margin of error for the aggregate sample was ±2.1%.

According to the poll, although both sexes favored a federal ban on transgender procedures for minors, men were more likely to favor it, with 63% in favor compared to 56% for women. Among the ethnicities polled, "others" favored a ban the most at 63% compared to 61% for Whites. Of Black registered voters polled, 46% favored a ban, while 32% were opposed and 22% were not sure.

Comment: So in spite of the relentless transgender propaganda sanity and common sense in the US is mostly prevailing.

Six new accusers of Sean "Diddy" Combs have filed lawsuits against the music mogul, alleging rape, sexual abuse and sexual assault.

Two Jane Does and four John Does filed civil lawsuits against Combs, 54, in New York on Monday, marking the first accusers of 120 alleged victims with claims against Combs, which Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee announced earlier this month.

The cases include alleged incidents from 1995 through 2021, including the alleged sexual assault of a minor and multiple allegations of rape. Several of the assaults are alleged to have occurred at the infamous parties that Combs became known for throughout his three decades in the music industry.

The lawsuits name Combs' various businesses as defendants. One of the men, who accuses Combs of sexually assaulting him in a Macy's in 2008, lists the department store as a defendant, and one of the women, who says Combs raped her in a hotel, lists Marriott as a defendant. USA TODAY reached out to Macy's, Marriott and Combs' reps for comment.
