Canadian service members taking part or voicing support for the trucker protests against vaccine mandates are being investigated, according to a Canadian news outlet.

The National Post reported this week that nine members of Canada's military have been "identified" as either allegedly taking part in the protests or voicing support on social media, and that military police have launched two investigations.

Canadian National Defense spokesman Dan Le Bouthillier told the outlet that Canadian troops are expected to adhere to rules and established codes of conduct.

He told the Post:
"Those who disregard these principles not only demonstrate an extreme lack of understanding of the military profession, they undermine the very foundation the Canadian Armed Forces. Any member of the armed forces who brings discredit to the CAF through either conduct or performance deficiencies, be it through actions or words, will be held accountable."
Consequences could include discharge from the military.

The Post reported that some of those being investigated are already in the process of leaving the Canadian Forces, since they have refused a requirement to be vaccinated.

#BlackfaceHitler trending on Twitter for two days straight amid Trudeau's freedom crackdown

Trudeau, pre-woke
#BlackfaceHitler has trended on Twitter for two consecutive days amid Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's crackdown on the freedom protests in Canada.

The hashtag trend was ignited by a series of moves targeting the pro-freedom demonstrators. Earlier last week, Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act to clamp down on the Freedom Convoy protesters demonstrating against the government's COVID-19 restrictions. The suppression has led to arrests, the freezing of financial accounts, and even officials treatening to confiscate the pets of detainees.

High-profile figures in other countries have taken notice with all eyes on Ottawa.

UK conservatives have surrendered to the insane, woke Left

The Conservative Party's co-chairman, Oliver Dowden, was in Washington this week, giving a speech at the Heritage Foundation. In it he focused on what he called the "painful woke psychodrama" playing out across our societies. In particular, he addressed the effects of cancel culture, the obsession with pronouns and efforts to "decolonise" the curriculum and, indeed, our whole history.

It was one of the first times that such a senior Conservative has actually lasered in on these matters, although Dowden's colleague Kemi Badenoch has toiled in these vineyards for some years. The Prime Minister himself is reported to be wildly scared of being seen to be engaging in "culture wars". And the reaction to Dowden's speech by what remains of the Left-wing press might have been a reminder of why that is.

Armed riot cops clash with final Freedom Convoy protesters as they clear them from Trudeau's Ottawa doorstep 170 are arrested and 50 trucks towed off

Heavily-armed police and riot cops were in control of downtown Ottawa streets late Saturday after a two-day military-style operation to smash the Freedom Convoy truck occupation.

At least 170 protestors have now been arrested since the start of the operation Friday morning and nearly 50 trucks and other vehicles have been towed off.

Scores of big rigs that had been lining the protest's core area of Wellington Street beside the Parliament buildings are gone - some towed but most finally being driven away after truckers were given five-minute warnings before they would be arrested.

Fed-up, frustrated and disenfranchised - Why Indigenous Canadians joined the freedom convoy

Indigenous activists protesters Freedom convoy ottawa
© Beth Baisch/The Post MillennialIndigenous activists joined the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa Saturday, January 29, 2022.
We are encouraged to believe that different experiences mean that some groups can never unite. The Freedom Convoy shows us the opposite is true.

Since a movement dubbing itself the 'Freedom Convoy' emerged at the end of January and headed to Ottawa to protest vaccine mandates for border crossings, labour leaders, the media and online activists have moved from perplexed to outright hostile. Some have even cheered on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's announcement this week of plans to invoke the 1988 Emergencies Act to clear out the protests. But the impulse to defend freedom and self-determination has attracted a diversity of groups to the cause. The fact that many indigenous have joined in support of the protests tells us that the desire for freedom is a spark we would do well not to extinguish.

Throughout their time in the Canadian capital, the truckers have attracted support from a wide cross section of Canadian society including indigenous Canadians who make up about 5% of the Canadian population. Many members of my own family joined the convoy, making their way south to Ottawa from Northern Ontario. Some joined in at the capital. Indigenous people appeared in full regalia and others wore orange T-shirts symbolising protest against atrocities at residential schools. While some groups within the convoy undoubtedly held different ideas about the underlying causes, two clear demands have emerged: 1) end covid-related mandates, and 2) roll back forms of digital surveillance enacted since the start of the pandemic. Summed up in the demand for 'freedom', indigenous and non-indigenous participants alike emphasised that this was a cause shared by everyone, regardless of background.

Lie, cheat, steal, cry? US military intelligence overwhelmed by toxic workplace complaints according to retired pilot

Retired Air Force pilot Lt.Col. Ryan Sweazey has gone public with 30 witness statements from Defense Intelligence Agency personnel alleging the agency was not only a "toxic" workplace but a security risk after his attempts to seek justice within the agency were allegedly rebuffed.

The DIA's toxic culture is not only a "threat to national security," Sweazey told the Wall Street Journal on Saturday, but its actions are "alienating and disenfranchising our intelligence personnel while disrupting and degrading operations."

Sweazey collected the witness statements from members of DIA subsidiary the Defense Attaché Service on his own last year, submitting them to Congress himself after the DIA appeared to slow-walk its response to his official complaints. While the agency has issued a statement insisting it had "zero tolerance" for violations of professional standards, it reportedly has yet to act on any of the retired lieutenant colonel's or his interviewees' complaints, which largely focus on the service's European offices.

Israeli soldiers set dog on unarmed Palestinian

Israel's security forces have drawn condemnation after video surfaced of soldiers setting a military attack dog on a Palestinian man who appeared to have surrendered during a night-time arrest last week. The footage shows the dog run toward and jump at the man, who is holding his hands up behind his head.

According to Haaretz, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the incident occurred in the West Bank city of Al-Bireh near Ramallah last Monday. The paper noted that the Palestinian Authority's prisoners commission had identified the detainee as Malik Maala, a 19-year-old who works at one of the factories in the city's industrial area.

In the minute-long clip, which was released on Wednesday, soldiers are seen subduing and arresting Maala after the dog attack. The IDF told Haaretz that the dog had been muzzled and was only released to scare him. The soldiers had reportedly surrounded the compound and warned Maala to come out and surrender prior to the attack.

Common sense prevails: Court rules 'women' can't be redefined

The Scottish government has lost a legal battle over a gender representation law that "expanded the definition of women" to include transgender people. Women's rights activists had argued that the legislation violated "protected characteristics" related to sex in the UK's 2010 Equality Act.

The Court of Session in Edinburgh ruled on Friday that the Scottish National Party (SNP) government had overstepped its authority when drafting the Gender Representation on Public Boards Scotland Act in 2018, which implemented 50% quotas for women on public sector boards.

Under the law, an individual "living as a woman" who plans to undergo (or has undergone) a "process for the purpose of becoming female" should be considered on par with biological women when filling these quotas. It invoked the "protected characteristic" of gender reassignment.

After Epstein "pimp" Jean-Luc Brunel found hanged in prison, Ghislaine Maxwell's family fears for her safety

Update (1944ET):
Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, a Democrat who served a stretch in federal prison and presumably knows a thing or two about how prisons work from the inside, has some questions now that Brunel has been found hanged in another apparent "suicide" tied to the Epstein case.

It's a mighty big coincidence that something like this could happen.

Comment: To call Jean-Luc Brunel's death-by-hanging a "coincidence" would be a massive understatement. The powerful agents responsible for coordinating these supposed "suicides" don't appear to have any difficulty covering their tracks and clearly have the ability to gain access to people, even behind prison walls. Prison is obviously not off-limits.

Maxwell's family therefore have good reason to be concerned over her safety, in spite of her morally reprehensible past and arguably pure evil behavior in concert with Epstein and other accomplices.

Leaked RCMP messages: "Time for the protesters to hear our jackboots on the ground"

In what appear to be authentic screenshots of the RCMP Musical Ride team currently in Ottawa to assist in the crackdown on peaceful protesters in the capital city, members brag about using brutal force.

Over the last 24 hours in Ottawa, police have deployed pepper spray and canisters on demonstrators, arrested dozens and trampled two people with horses.

Rebel News' Alexa Lavoie was brutally struck with a baton, shot at close range with a pepper canister which then broke, burning her face and eyes.

In the chat, RCMP Musical Ride member, Andrew Nixon sends a picture of a pint of beer hoping for his chance to abuse protesters:
"Don't kick all of them out until next weeks group gets our turn"
Member Robin Thibault remarks about accommodations police are being given in Ottawa:
"Nice Downtown in Chateau Laurier"
Nixon jokes about police brutality:
