Grasping at straws: NATO uses accidental Turkish airspace incursion in info war against Russia over Syria

The incident with the Russian jet, which accidentally violated Turkey's airspace, has been used to include NATO in the media war against Moscow's anti-terror op in Syria, said Aleksandr Grushko, Russia's envoy to the Western military alliance.

"The impression is that the incident in Turkish airspace was used in order to include NATO as an organization into the information campaign unleashed in the West, which perverts and distorts the purposes of the operation conducted by the Russian air forces in Syria," Grushko said.

According to Grushko, NATO has ignored clarifications from Russia about the plane incident. All attempts to explain the reasons behind the incident fell on deaf ears, however, with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg describing the situation as "unacceptable violations of Turkish airspace."

"Similar incidents are clarified through bilateral or military channels," Grushko said. "This is common practice."

Comment: The myopic, nitpicky, and manipulative statements of tool-for-Empire Jens Stoltenberg indicate yet again just how desperate and ridiculous the US is and how willing they are to grasp at literally anything to vilify Russia. Expect it to get even worse (if such a thing is possible).

After seeing stories like this one it is no wonder that astute observers of the US/Russia conflict are calling Amerika The World's Silliest Empire.

Kiev begins withdrawing weapons under 100mm in East Ukraine

According to the press officer of the special operations headquarters, the Ukrainian military began withdrawing weapons with a caliber of less than 100mm in the country's eastern regions.

The Ukrainian military on Monday began withdrawing weapons with a caliber of less than 100mm in the country's eastern regions, the press officer of the special operations headquarters said.

"Yes, starting from today, the practical phase of the first stage of withdrawing equipment and weapons of less than 100mm from the line of contact has begun," Anatoliy Stelmakh said on Ukraine's 112-Ukraina television channel.

He said that the weapons would be pulled back at a distance of no less than 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) and would take 41 days for a full withdrawal.

On Tuesday, an agreement on the withdrawal of weapons of less than 100mm caliber from the line of contact in the country's eastern regions was initialed in Minsk. Kiev, as well as Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics signed the agreement the following day.

The agreement on the pullback of this caliber of weapons, which the security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukrainian reconciliation drew up in August, remained a controversial topic between the warring sides until recent weeks.

The Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, which comprises representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), was set up under the Minsk ceasefire agreement in 2014 in a bid to promote direct dialogue between the parties to the Ukrainian conflict.

Comment: Without the full support of their US masters and with an ever-shrinking army, it's in the best interest of the puppets in Kiev to cooperate with the Russians and the people of Eastern Ukraine. Looks like Russian involvement in the Syrian conflict is having some positive effects well beyond the Syrian border.

Deputy head of Ukraine's armed forces mobilization department earlier reported that during a sixth wave of call-up almost 27,000 conscripts, around 50% of the total, had dodged army service.

Some 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers have defected from the zone of military operations in conflict-riven eastern Donbas - many carrying weapons, the country's chief military prosecutor said on Monday.

"We have investigated 16,000 criminal cases regarding defectors who have left the zone of military operations, and a significant part of them defected with weapons," Anatoly Matios told reporters.

The Interior Ministry has launched a search for all those missing, but no more than 1,000 had been located over the past year, he said.

Deputy head of Ukraine's armed forces mobilization department Colonel Alexander Pravdivets has reported that during a sixth wave of call-up almost 27,000 conscripts, around 50% of the total, had dodged army service.

Comment: It's easy to see why Ukraine's army is bleeding personnel. Living conditions are terrible, the command structure incompetent, and the ranks are filled by conscripts unlucky enough to not get out of Ukraine ahead of the sweep. Plus most have not been completely brainwashed. They have an understandable aversion to killing their Russian 'cousins'.

'Show us the facts' - Russia's Foreign Ministry blasts Western smear campaign

On Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry held an extraordinary briefing to discuss the international coverage of Russia's military operation in Syria.

Russia's anti-ISIL operation has prompted a smear campaign in the world media, the country's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Tuesday.

Comment: Strange how Russia's airstrikes, which are crippling ISIS in Syria, are perceived as 'strengthening terrorism' but America dropping supplies to ISIS is considered an effective anti-terrorism strategy. Strange how the West blames Russia for indiscriminately bombing civilians at the exact same time that the US is bombing hospitals. Of course it's all based on lies, which is what makes the US/NATO/Israel the world's silliest/dumbest/most pathetic empire.

Israeli soldiers kill 3 Palestinian teens in last 24 hours

Three Palestinian teenagers, including a 13-year-old Palestinian boy, have been killed in West Bank clashes with Israeli soldiers in the past 24 hours. More than 450 Palestinians have also been injured in the violence.

Abdel-Rahman Abeidallah, 13, died of a gunshot wound to the heart on Monday, a source at Bethlehem Hospital told Reuters. The boy lived in the local al-Aidah refugee camp and had taken part in clashes with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Israeli military said it was looking into the incident.

According to a Monday report by the Red Crescent, two Palestinian teens, aged 13 and 18, were killed in Bethlehem and Tulkarem, and 456 Palestinians have been wounded over the past day.

The 18-year-old alleged stone-thrower was reportedly killed in Tulkarem earlier in the day. The IDF claimed that only a single shot had been fired in the area and it was "unclear" if the teen had been struck by an Israeli bullet.

Comment: Israel has recently seriously upped its aggression towards the Palestinian people. Will anyone in the world take notice and do anything about it?

Russia demolishes Obama's war plans - the world awaits 'Plan B'

US Isis proxy

Putin's intervention in Syria disrupts Washington's regional imperial agenda - neocons infesting Obama's administration on the back foot, flummoxed on what to do next.

Their reaction awaits. Expect endless propaganda war, as well as increased support for ISIS and other takfiri terrorists.

London's Guardian got it backwards suggesting Moscow's intervention was "more provocative than decisive" - the same notion proliferated by other media in lockstep with the US-NATO coalition led by the US, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Israel.

The Guardian said "(r)egional powers have quietly, but effectively, channelled funds, weapons and other support to rebel groups making the biggest inroads against the forces from Damascus" - allied with Washington's plan to weaken and isolate Iran.

Eric King: "Now that Putin has stepped in and asserted Russia's authority and put a stop to the madness, at least for now, where do we go from here?"

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: "That's what we will learn. The Russian government very quickly supported this. This all happened amazingly quick. I think this is one of the things that has stunned Washington. Putin goes to the U.N. and tells everybody that 'We can no longer tolerate the state of affairs in the world.' And two days later he's out there bombing ISIS. (LAUGHTER). This is amazing.

Best of the Web: The World's Silliest Empire

Image
I couldn't help but notice that over the past few weeks the Empire has become extremely silly—so silly that I believe it deserves the title of the World's Silliest Empire. One could claim that it has been silly before, but recent developments seem to signal a quantum leap in its silliness level.

Watch Madman McCain lie about what is going on in Syria

Image
Mr McCain pictured with his favorite terrorists in Syria
What makes John McCain tick continues to baffle observers. Putin has volunteered that he is missing a few marbles due to his long captivity in Vietnam.

Conspiracy theorist argue that he is a an asset of Israeli intelligence, citing his marriage to a Jewish mobster family from Arizona, and his comically knee-jerk hollering in favor of anything that benefits Israel.

Conservatives hate him because pretends to be conservative, but isn't at all on social issues.

Who knows where the truth lies, but one thing is sure, the man is a menace.

Comment: This blubbering idiot is really showing his ineptness regarding Syria.

Right after Russia boots US out of Syria, Pentagon declares: "We won't be withdrawing from Afghanistan by 2017 after all"

The United States must adjust its timeline for total withdrawal from Afghanistan, General John Campbell, commander of United States and NATO forces in Afghanistan, has told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Campbell added that plans to recommence normal embassy operations in Afghanistan by 2017 should also be reconsidered, all as a Taliban resurgence in the northern city of Kunduz has caused new alarm in Washington.

The hearing on Capitol Hill comes days after the US admitted responsibility for an airstrike on a hospital in Kunduz that killed at least 19 people, including nine Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) staff and three children.

Campbell said Tuesday that the decision to carry out that bombing was made within the US chain of command.

"Even though the Afghans request(ed) that support, it still has to go through a rigorous US procedure" before a strike occurs, Campbell said.

Campbell added that he has ordered proper training for his forces to prevent another such incident like the hospital massacre.

Afghan forces "have admittedly faltered at times," Campbell said, but he is confident they can regain Kunduz from Taliban fighters.

Comment: The 15 year occupation of Afghanistan takes on a whole other meaning when we consider the Russian perspective...

ISIS training militants from Russia in Afghanistan, 'US and UK citizens among instructors'

It's no coincidence that 'trouble flared up again' in Afghanistan right after Russia intervened in Syria on September 30th, thereby 'justifying' US military response and prolonging the occupation into the next decade. Washington 'absolutely must' keep a foothold in Asia or 'all is lost'.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership and why you should care

TPP
© Paul Handley / AFPProtestors call for the rejection of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal under negotiation in Atlanta, Georgia on October 1, 2015.
A dozen Pacific Rim nations reportedly reached an agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the secretive, US-orchestrated pact that seeks common standards among its members. Opponents say the deal is more about consolidation of power than "fair trade."

What is the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)?

The largest global trade agreement in 20 years, the TPP includes the United States, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. These nations together comprise 40 percent of the global economy.

Comment: A little background on this psychopathic push for total control:
The American economy has been gutted. The financialization of our economy began around 1980 and accelerated after the passage of NAFTA in 1994 and the repeal of Glass Steagall in 1999. There has been a giant sucking sound of manufacturing jobs leaving the U.S., replaced by purveyors of paper, derivatives gamblers, and high frequency traders on Wall Street. Producing goods has been replaced by scamming muppets and peddling debt to the masses so they can consume.

We've been eating our seed corn for the last 35 years and there is nothing left to sow. We allowed American jobs and production to be replaced by cheap foreign labor and cheap foreign produced products, financed by consumer debt. We allowed mega-corporations and Wall Street banks to capture the economic system, financial markets, judicial, legislative, and executive branches, along with the mainstream media, thereby subjugating the best interests of the country to maximizing profits for the .1%.
