A 16-year-old Palestinian girl was shot dead by Israeli police after reportedly attempting a knife attack at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Sunday.

"The female terrorist approached Border Police officers who were on patrol at Damascus Gate, waved a knife in the air at the officers, and the terrorist was shot and critically injured," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

"The area was immediately cordoned off and security heightened as we look into the identity of the terrorist and where she came from."

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the girl as Fatima Abed el-Rahman Hajiji from Qarawat Bani Zeid, north of Ramallah.

Comment: IMEC provides an update:
On Sunday afternoon, Israeli police shot and killed a 16-year old Palestinian girl near the Damascus gate in Jerusalem.

Although the Israeli police spokesperson claimed that the teen attempted to stab a security officer, that account has been disputed.

The child has been identified as Fatima Afeef Abdul-Rahman Hajiji, 16, from Qarawat Bani Zeid village, northwest of Ramallah, in the central part of the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said Fatima was standing near the entrance of Bab al-'Amoud (Damascus Gate), and was at least ten meters away from the near soldier or officer, and that one of the soldiers started shouting "knife, knife," before five soldiers fired a barrage of bullets at the child.

They added that the Fatima was first shot with several live rounds in the chest, and the soldiers continued to fire at her after she fell onto the ground.

Many live rounds also struck a Palestinian Taxi, parked nearby, causing damage and puncturing one of its tires.

Photos of the deceased show that she was shot and killed at quite a distance from the guard post, so even if she had been holding a knife (which is disputed), no security officers were in danger at the time when she was killed.

Following the fatal shooting of the child, the soldiers used pepper-spray against dozens of Palestinians who gathered in the area, especially close to Fatima.

In addition, the soldiers assaulted many Palestinians, including children, in Sultan Suleiman Street, causing a child, identified as Mahmoud Abu Sbeih, 9, to fall from a high altitude after mounted officer chased him and many other Palestinians.

Hundreds of soldiers and mounted police officers were deployed in the area, closed many roads and alleys, and forced the Palestinians away.

Israel threatens to pass bill legalizing apartheid, debate begins on declaring Israel a solely Jewish state

netanyahu
Israel has greenlighted a national debate on a controversial bill that would anchor the apartheid state's status as solely a Jewish one, further discriminating against Arabs and setting up a further barrier to a peace process with Palestine.

Sunday saw an Israeli cabinet committee approve a revised version of a bill that was first proposed in 2011 and that declares the "State of Israel is the national home of the Jewish people," its author, Avi Dichter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party, wrote on Facebook.

The bill, however, must still go through a drafting by the Justice Ministry and pass several votes in parliament in what is expected to be a lengthy process to reach its potential approval.

Comment: Because apparently apartheid is cool again. And democratic too!

Summary FBI investigates Bernie Sanders' wife for bank fraud ‒ report

The wife of Senator Bernie Sanders is being investigated for allegedly defrauding a bank when she was head of Burlington College. Her husband is slamming the charges as being politically motivated.

Federal investigators are conducting interviews regarding Jane Sanders, who was the president of Burlington College from 2004 to 2011. It is alleged that she falsified loan documents in order to expand the college grounds, according to a Friday report from the Daily Caller.

The report alleges that Sanders overstated the amount of money the school was expecting from donors on a 2010 loan application to the People's United Bank.

Sanders allegedly told the bank that the college would receive $2.6 million in donations in order to secure a $6.5 million loan. However, only a quarter of the expected donations, $676,000, was raised over the next four years.

Why is corporate media ignoring huge pedophile ring bust that saved 300 kids, produced 900 arrests?

pedophile child trafficking arrest
© Free Thought Project
After a nearly two-year investigation, 870 suspected pedophiles have been arrested across the world, and least 259 sexually abused children have been identified in the wake of major underground online global pedophilia network being taken down, according to the FBI and European authorities.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Europol announced the arrests on Friday, only days after a court sentenced Florida-based Steven Chase, founder of the so-called Playpen pedophilia network, to 30 years in prison.

The arrest of Chase in December 2014 was the impetus for a global probe into the users of the members-only forum, which culminated in the nearly 900 arrests.

Unsurprisingly, this massive pedophile bust has failed to crack the pervasive US media censorship regime, as not a single mainstream corporate media source in the United States has reported on this story. Perhaps, within those 900 sickos, there are some folks who have enough power not to let their names out.

How Washington, Israel, and associated trolls control information, leading us to our destruction

AIPAC conference

Dear Readers: I very much appreciate the support you show for me in your emails. I seldom receive a rude email from you, and when I do it is usually something off subject, such as a reader angry with Israel and unloading on me with an accusation that I am a coward and a "Jew-lover" because I don't do enough to expose the crimes of the Jews.

This accusation always amuses me as the ADL lists me as an anti-Semite because I occasionally make an entirely justified criticism of Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians and excessive influence over US foreign policy, as have many outstanding scholars, such as John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, and many Jews themselves.

My friends find my designation by the ADL as an anti-Semite hilarious. The person whom I selected as my principal deputy in the US Treasury is a Jew. David Meiselman, my friend and co-author with me of an important study of the Congressional Budget Office, is a Jew (deceased). I went to Oxford for the express purpose of studying under Michael Polanyi, a Jew who had to leave his scientific post in Germany to escape the Nazis. Milton Friedman, an early supporter of the Institute for Political Economy, is a Jew (deceased). When my book (1971) on the Soviet economy was republished in 1990 without a word changed, it was a Jew who wrote the Introduction. He asked, "Why did only Roberts get it right?"

Trump wants to talk but can he think?

Tentatively, it's good sign that US President Donald Trump had a productive phone call - again - with Russian leader Vladimir Putin this week, vowing to push for a diplomatic settlement in war-torn Syria.

At least the two leaders appear to be talking to each other - not at each other. Businessman-turned-politician Trump seems to have a refreshingly pragmatic way of respecting Putin as a potential partner, not viewing the Russian president with preconceived notions of Cold War-type hostility.

Another tentatively positive development this week was Trump's Secretary of State Rex Tillerson giving a major speech to the US State Department on priorities for foreign policy. Tillerson called for cooperation with Russia and reminded his audience of a meeting last month held in Moscow with President Putin in which both of them acknowledged that there was an all-time low in US-Russian relations which urgently needed improvement.

Russia submits draft UN Security Council Resolution on Syrian 'de-escalation areas'

UN Security Council
As predicted Russia has proposed UN Security Council Resolution codifying plan for 'de-escalation areas' and giving Russian peacekeepers tasked with enforcing them a UN mandate.

Russia has today submitted to the UN Security Council a draft Resolution making the memorandum on 'de-escalation areas' signed by Russia, Turkey and Iran a formal UN document.

As an international agreement between three powers - Russia, Turkey and Iran - the memorandum is already in effect part of international law. However by codifying it through a UN Security Council Resolution the Russians will strengthen its international legal status, making it formally binding on all parties, including those Jihadi groups which are subject to it but which have not themselves signed the memorandum.

Terrorist bomb attack in Donbass likely targeted at Donetsk leader Zakharchenko

Alexander Zakharchenko
The fascist Ukrainian regime intends to disrupt Victory Day as much as possible.

Two roadside bombs have been detonated in the Donetsk People's Republic on a road beside a Great Patriotic War memorial that is to be a location of activities for tomorrow's Victory Day celebrations in Donetsk.

The bombs appear to be part of a targeted assassination attempt on Donetsk People's Republic leader Alexander Zakharchenko. Zakharchenko's motorcade was to drive down the road where the blasts occurred. Luckily the bombs detonated prematurely and no one was hurt.

The Donetsk People's Republic considers the attack a terrorist incident and will investigate who is behind it.

Kurdish leaders are pushing for US support for a plan to extend their territory across Syria to the Mediterranean Sea, in order to create a trade route and bolster Kurdish enclaves in the North. The move may run into stiff local opposition.

In a mainstream media interview, Hediya Yousef, head of the Kurdish federalism project, said the Syrian Kurds wanted more territory in the North, in return for helping the US retake Raqqa from Daesh. He claimed the Kurds had a "legal right" to create a trade corridor to the Mediterranean.

The Libyan military forces have liberated a port in the eastern city of Benghazi from the terrorists of the al-Qaeda terrorist group, Sky News Arabia reported Monday, citing army's statement.

The Libyan forces under command of Gen. Khalifa Haftar have also regained control of several facilities in the northern part of the Libyan city.

In 2014, Haftar announced the Dignity Operation to defeat the militants in Libya, such as the al-Qaeda and Daesh terrorists. At the moment, his armed troops control a significant part of the country's eastern regions.
