US President Donald Trump says he is the victim of the "single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history," in an apparent reference to the investigation regarding the president's alleged ties with Russia.

He went on to speak about "illegal acts" that took place during Hillary Clinton's campaign and throughout the Obama administration, noting that there was "never a special councel (sic) appointed."

It comes just one day after the US Justice Department named former FBI chief Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate alleged Russian interference in the US election and possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow.

Trump's tweets follow similar words from the president on Wednesday, in which he said that no politician "has been treated worse or more unfairly."

In the biggest expansion of the country's nuclear power industry, the Indian government has announced plans to construct ten heavy water reactors. India currently operates 22 nuclear plants, with a capacity of 6,780 megawatts.

The new reactors will have more capacity and will be in addition to those expected to get online by 2022.

"A total of 7,000 megawatts will be added. It will help produce clean energy," said India's Power Minister Piyush Goyal.

The planned nuclear units will generate business worth $11 billion and create more than 33,000 jobs, according to the authorities.

Flashback Exposing the connections between fired FBI Director Comey and the Clinton Foundation

A review of FBI Director James Comey's professional history and relationships shows that the Obama cabinet leader — now under fire for his handling of the investigation of Hillary Clinton — is deeply entrenched in the big-money cronyism culture of Washington, D.C. His personal and professional relationships — all undisclosed as he announced the Bureau would not prosecute Clinton — reinforce bipartisan concerns that he may have politicized the criminal probe.

These concerns focus on millions of dollars that Comey accepted from a Clinton Foundation defense contractor, Comey's former membership on a Clinton Foundation corporate partner's board, and his surprising financial relationship with his brother Peter Comey, who works at the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation's taxes.

German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel has turned to Washington for help in resolving its row with Ankara. Earlier this week, German lawmakers were denied permission to visit 260 troops serving at Turkey's Incirlik airbase in the campaign against Islamic State.

"We have again asked the Americans for support in our talks with Turkey," Gabriel said in Washington on Wednesday, following a meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

"It is unthinkable for a NATO partner to put pressure on each other regarding German parliamentarians visiting German armed force," he added, as cited by German newspaper Zeit.

"I believe that the Americans will also use the opportunities they have to talk to the Turkish side to say that we must have a different relationship with each other than the current one," the German FM said.

Comment: Trump and Erdogan already have a bunch to talk about: Erdogan has laundry list of grievances going into first meeting with Trump

Amnesty International 'evidence' of Syria crematorium relies on fabricated artist depiction

Amnesty international Sryia report
On the eve of another round of Geneva VI talks, large western news agencies BBC and the AP referring to the State Department published accusations of Damascus of tortures and murders of political prisoners.

The published pieces include the words of Stuart E. Jones, the active assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, and two satellite images, which were taken in January, 2015, of the Sednaya prison near Damascus. According to Jones, the building has been allegedly used by the Syrian authorities to burn the bodies of prisoners died of tortures and inhumane treatment.

As a proof, the U.S. brought the 'evidence' of some international organizations and NGOs including Amnesty International which claims 50 prisoners get killed per day.

However, the report of the 'human right' organization was fabricated in London using a technology claimed to be 'forensic architecture'. Such a method is about substituting facts, physical, photo and video proofs with animation and sound effects created by designers.

State Department reveals the US doesn't really have any evidence of Syria crematorium

In a briefing Monday, the Department of State admitted that the alleged crematorium in the Syrian prison used to incinerate prisoners could actually just be a warmer part of the building.

The State Department stated Monday based on international and local NGO reports that the alleged crematorium used to burn the bodies of hundreds of hanged prisoners at a prison run by the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad may not be a crematorium at all.

Stuart Jones, acting assistant secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, said that the prison in Saydnaya was modified in 2013 to support what the agency believes to be a crematorium, which is used to "cover up the extent of mass murders taking place in Saydnaya prison."

As many as 50 prisoners per day are killed at Saydnaya, and an Amnesty International report from February 2017 said that anywhere from 5,000-13,000 prisoners have been executed at the site from 2013 to the present.

Brazilian President Michel Temer is facing mounting impeachment calls from politicians and the public, who are outraged over alleged secret payoffs. It comes less than a year after the impeachment of ex-leader Dilma Rousseff, also over corruption claims.

Prosecutors have reportedly been provided with recordings in which Joesley Batista, one of the two brothers who run the country's biggest meat-packing company, JBS, tells President Temer he makes payments to the jailed politician Eduardo Cunha to keep him quiet over corruption allegations.

Temer is reportedly heard replying, "You have to keep it going, OK?" according to O Globo newspaper, which didn't disclose how it had received the information.

WH delays on promise to move US embassy to Jerusalem

© nowtheendbegins.comOvertly or covertly, the Israeli plan is "take-over."
Amid mounting Israeli pressure on the White House to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv, Israel, to Jerusalem, a senior US official has affirmed that the move will happen by the end of Trump's presidential term.

After increasingly anxious calls from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for US President Donald Trump to honor a campaign pledge promising to move the American embassy, senior US officials have stated off the record that, while the move will happen, more time is necessary.

According to NBC affiliate Channel 2 news in Washington, a senior official within the White House asserted that, while the move would happen before the end of Trump's presidential term, it would not happen immediately as the Israelis have requested, cited by the Times of Israel. "We'll move the embassy," the official stated, adding, "just give us time."

According to the Times, the unnamed official also called on Netanyahu and his administration to stop putting pressure on Trump for the move, as it could slow the process or even moot it completely.

Comment: What's wrong with Trump...doesn't he know the issue of the Israeli embassy should be first on his to-do list? The chutzpah! Should the president be impeached and seeing this possible closing window of opportunity, Bibi wants to hurry the process before some other presidential type realizes how manipulating this is within the Palestinian context and quashes the move. Pester, the fine art of Israeli negotiation.

Syria: US Intel suggests Daesh is creating a new chemical weapons cell

The US intelligence community believes the Islamic State terrorist group (Daesh) is establishing a new unit on chemical weapons, comprising of experts from Iraq and Syria who have never worked together before, media reported. The "chemical weapon cell" is likely to operate from the Syrian area within the Euphrates River Valley, between Mayadin, Syria and the town of al Qaim, CNN said citing US officials on Wednesday.

The US-led military coalition has not officially confirmed the information, the media noted. However, spokesperson Col. Ryan Dillon recalled that Daesh has utilized chemical munitions in their attacks in the past.

On April 16, Daesh used chlorine and mustard agent in the attack on Iraqi and coalition forces in Mosul, according to Operation Inherent Resolve.

According to the media, Daesh terrorist group carried out more than 15 chemical attacks in the area near West Mosul since the middle of April.

The northern Iraqi city of Mosul, Daesh's key Iraqi stronghold, has been controlled by the terrorists since mid-2014. The Iraqi troops backed by the US-led international coalition launched an operation to recapture Mosul in October 2016, with the eastern part of the city being liberated in January and the western remaining under the control of jihadists. In February, the Iraqi forces began the operation aimed at liberating western Mosul from Daesh.

Comment: This is an interesting narrative shift and we should be asking why now rather than a few weeks ago when the US was bombing Syria? If true, there has to be information on chemical supplies and how they are distributed as well. If so, this has been an open source that should have been shut down but wasn't. Why not?
