According to whistle-blower, ISIS war is opposition plot to oust Duterte

The shocking claims would mean that the war against Philippines is not an act of insurgency but of treason.

Philippine media have been sharing a post from retired Philippine military veteran Abe Purugganan which claims that the ISIS war on Philippines is part of an internal coup organised by members of the opposition Liberal Party with an aim to illegally oust democratically elected Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Mr. Purugganan claims that he is publishing information provided by a whistle-blower who works inside the opposition Liberal Party of Philippines.

As a point of reference, the Maute Group is synonymous with ISIS in Philippines.

Comment: It could be an inside job. However, the spread of ISIS and affiliates to East Asia is surfacing and already includes the Philippines.

Ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem posters: 'Kill female soldiers and IDF commanders'

Israeli authorities have launched a probe into posters calling for the killing of female soldiers and IDF commanders who draft ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews to the army, local media report.

The fliers were reportedly distributed in Mea Shearim, one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem populated mostly by Haredi Jews. Haredi is a collective notion for groups of ultra-Orthodox Jews who consider themselves most religiously authentic and reject modern secular culture.

Written in Hebrew, the flier lays out instructions to Haredi youth who are drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"If they [IDF] take you by force to the army of destruction, you are permitted and must do all of the following things. Take the rifle you have received, kill every female soldier next to you and give her the privilege of killing her rather than letting her transgress," the flier said, as translated by Ynetnews.

"Kill every commander who keeps you by force; kill every recruiter, his seducer and accomplice. Kill yourself out of a decree to not transgress," the message adds.

Comment: Homegrown, inbred fanaticism: Terror from within.

Qatar-Saudi spat threatens Riyadh's influence but what are the Saudis really worried about?

Saudi Arabia's move to use its influence among other Muslim countries to threaten Iran appears to be backfiring as Qatar now reveals an entirely new plan, a third way for the entire region.

Oops, Qatar did it again. It dared to think. Recently, this tiny energy-rich nation, a small island perched on the edge of the huge peninsula which mighty Saudi Arabia straddles - but almost in shouting distance of Iran - dared to do the unthinkable: threatening to challenge Riyadh's new emboldened plan to be a leader once again in the Middle East.

Iran is calling. And its re-elected modernist leader is saying "we want peace." But is Saudi Arabia listening?

Comment: More analysis of the Saudi 'coalition':

UK TV stations ditching election polls because they're too unreliable

British broadcasters have given up on polls ahead of the June 8 general election because they are a "waste of time."

The BBC, Sky News, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 have all ditched the habit of predicting election results, after the 20 point Conservative majority initially expected has shrunk to just three points in under two months.

TV stations seem keen to avoid past mistakes, after polls failed to predict the Tories' landslide victory in 2015, the Brexit referendum result and Donald Trump's presidential victory.
"It should be abundantly clear by now that the polls are a total waste of time. We have refused to commission any in this campaign," ITV News at Ten anchor Tom Bradby said this week in a series of tweets.

"We're also trying to stop them framing our narrative. The only poll with a good record is the exit poll, which has different methodology."

Comment: Ah yes, the polls contradict the agenda so must be ignored.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for calm in the wake of Donald Trump's decision to pull the US out of the Paris Agreement, joking that any bad weather encountered around the globe could now be blamed on 'American imperialism'.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Russian president said the panic surrounding Trump's decision has been blown way out of proportion, noting that there is still time before the agreement, which was signed in 2015, goes into effect.
"Don't worry, be happy," Putin said in English.

"This agreement [the Paris Agreement on climate change] has not yet even come in effect. It will come into effect in 2021. So we still have time. If we all work constructively, we can agree on something," he said.

A joint operation by Brazilian police and a unit specializing in firearms uncovered the cache following an X-ray of the supposed pool heaters at Rio's airport.

Ex-DNC official slams Hillary Clinton for her 'election loss blame game'

Hillary Clinton

A former DNC official has slammed Hillary Clinton for saying the Democratic Party contributed to her election loss, calling the claim "f***ing bulls***." He went on to accuse her of ignoring warnings about how competitive the races in three states were.

Speaking at the annual Code Conference in California on Wednesday, Clinton pointed a finger at a range of entities that she feels contributed to her election loss. Among them were the Democratic National Committee.
"It was bankrupt; it was on the verge of insolvency; its data was mediocre to poor, non-existent, wrong. I had to inject money into it - the DNC - to keep it going," she said.

Comment: Clinton keeps shooting herself in the foot, with even Democrats at her throat now.

Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro promised that the people will have a final say whether to reject or greenlight a new constitution, which a special body called the National Constituent Assembly has been tasked with drafting.

"I shall propose it explicitly: the new constitution will go to a consultative referendum, so it is the people who say whether they are in agreement or not with the new, strengthened constitution," Maduro pledged Thursday in a speech broadcast by state Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), as cited by Reuters.

He did not provide any details on the date of the proposed plebiscite. He noted, however, that the process of convening the National Constituent Assembly, tasked with drafting the new state law, is in full swing.

Skorobogatova said testing of a national virtual currency has already taken place on the Masterchain and Hyperledger platforms.

Hillary Clinton loses it again as France debunks 'Russian hacking' claims

Hillary Clinton
In April the New York Times, published this bullshit: Russian Hackers Who Targeted Clinton Appear to Attack France's Macron
The campaign of the French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron has been targeted by what appear to be the same Russian operatives responsible for hacks of Democratic campaign officials before last year's American presidential election, a cybersecurity firm warns in a new report.
...
Security researchers at the cybersecurity firm, Trend Micro, said that on March 15 they spotted a hacking group they believe to be a Russian intelligence unit turn its weapons on Mr. Macron's campaign — sending emails to campaign officials and others with links to fake websites designed to bait them into turning over passwords.

The group began registering several decoy internet addresses last month and as recently as April 15, naming one onedrive-en-marche.fr and another mail-en-marche.fr to mimic the name of Mr. Macron's political party, En Marche.

Those websites were registered to a block of web addresses that Trend Micro's researchers say belong to the Russian intelligence unit they refer to as Pawn Storm, but is alternatively known as Fancy Bear, APT 28 or the Sofacy Group. American and European intelligence agencies and American private security researchers determined that the group was responsible for hacking the Democratic National Committee last year.
