U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned Tuesday in the wake of mounting pressure following the assassination attempt on former President Trump, Fox News confirmed.

Fox News reviewed the letter Cheatle sent to the U.S. Secret Service Tuesday morning, just a day after taking bipartisan heat during testimony before the House Oversight Committee Monday and over a week after a would-be assassin Thomas Crooks attempted to take the life of Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

"To the Men and Women of the U.S. Secret Service, The Secret Service's solemn mission is to protect our nation's leaders and financial infrastructure," Cheatle wrote in a letter to the agency. "On July 13th, we fell short on that mission."

Cheatle said that the "scrutiny" over the last week "has been intense and will continue to remain as our operational tempo increases."

Much has been written about Bucha, revealing much about the propagandist function of the so-called Western "free" media, with entire articles copied from each other, and the single source predominantly being the United States, the Washington Post, or the New York Times.

From the outset, the Western media reporting somehow knew for sure that the Bucha massacre was done by Russia. There was no doubt - and now everything turns out to be a big lie.

They are exposed, for their stupidity and especially for their loss on the Ukrainian front. Their evidence has been fabricated with lies aimed at misleading the Western public, which is standard practice since the U.S. started wars and killing people decades ago, under the guise of democracy.

According to Western sources including the popular online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, the nominated Bucha Massacre was perpetrated on Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war by Russian forces during the battle for Bucha in late March 2022.

New satellite images show the massive extent of the Saturday airstrikes by Israel on the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeida in Yemen. Teams are fighting the large blazes for the third day, after the port was essentially leveled.

Regional reports say firefighters have made little progress, and that the blaze could soon reach food storage facilities, which would be devastating given much of the Yemeni population has for years faced an acute hunger crisis and relies heavily on external aid.

The Israeli Air Force launched the unprecedented operation in response to a prior deadly drone attack on Tel Aviv launched from Yemen. From Israel's perspective, the drone strike which hit near foreign embassies was the last straw after months of hostile actions from the Houthis.

According to AFP analysis based on Maxar satellite imagery from Monday:
An analysis of satellite imagery by the Dutch peace organization PAX showed at least 33 destroyed oil storage tankers, said Wim Zwijnenburg, a project leader with the group.

"We expect (to find) more damage, as not all storage tanks are visible because of heavy smoke" from the fire and burning fuel, Zwijnenburg told AFP.
At least six were killed from the weekend attack, and over 80 injured. The Yemen Petroleum Company - which runs the destroyed fuel depot, says the six deceased were its employees.

The attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump was the biggest Secret Service failure in decades and no one has been held accountable for it, Director Kimberly Cheatle told Congress.

A would-be assassin fired several bullets at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania earlier this month. The Republican presidential candidate narrowly escaped death, but two people were injured and one was killed.

Cheatle told the House Oversight Committee on Monday:
"The Secret Service's solemn mission is to protect our nation's leaders. On July 13, we failed. I take full responsibility for any security lapse."
Cheatle described the Butler shooting as the "most significant operational failure at the Secret Service in decades."

Most Republican lawmakers and at least one Democrat noted that the Secret Service director had resigned following the 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, so Cheatle's interpretation of "full responsibility" seemed unusual at the very least.

The president's condition dates back years, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has claimed.

There needs to be an investigation into a possible conspiracy among American political circles and the media to manipulate the public's perceptions regarding President Joe Biden's health, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

Biden announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he would not seek re-election in November, less than a month before the Democratic National Convention was scheduled to start in Chicago.

Commenting on his announcement in an interview with Russian media, Zakharova noted:
"It was highly unusual to have just a screenshot of a letter posted on social media rather than a video or audio statement. In the modern world, filled with post-truth and deep fakes, it's very important to leave no room for speculation.

"Assuming Biden's letter is authentic, as the US media - and the public alongside them - appear to have done, it raises the question of investigating what I call the collusion of the American media with political circles, including officials and the so-called expert community, who hid the true state of affairs regarding Biden's mental health.

"It's time to highlight all these statements and actions of the manipulation machine — their propaganda of lies."
According to Zakharova, anyone who truly cares about free speech, transparency, and "our democracy" in America should support this.

The Israeli military has launched a fresh attack on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, killing at least 70 people according to medics, after ordering Palestinians to leave several neighbourhoods including areas that had been designated by the military as part of a humanitarian zone.

Palestinian civil defence in the territory estimated that 400,000 people sheltering in the city were affected by the order, which included the eastern part of Al-Mawasi, a sandy strip of land without infrastructure where Palestinians have sought shelter in tent encampments in recent months.

The military claimed Hamas militants in Khan Younis and part of Al-Mawasi were using the area to launch rockets at Israel.

Embattled Secret Service chief Kimberly Cheatle has announced she will resign from her post less than two weeks after the agency's calamitous failure at Donald Trump's July 13 campaign rally led to him being wounded by an assassin's bullet.

Cheatle, a 28-year veteran of the agency, faced mounting pressure to step down in recent days but insisted all along she would remain on the job. She announced her resignation in a letter to agency staffers on Tuesday morning.

"I have, and will always put the needs of this agency first. In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your Director," Cheatle wrote in the letter, which was obtain by The Post.

Russia calls for the soonest de-escalation of tensions in Yemen and the Red Sea, the Russian foreign ministry said following a meeting between Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Yemeni Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Salem Al-Wahishi.

"The two diplomats exchanged views on the development of the situation in Yemen and the Red Sea," it said. "The sides stressed the necessity of the soonest de-escalation of tension in this strategically important region of the world and the need for efforts to prevent the spread of the armed confrontation. They reiterated the importance of consolidated efforts toward establishing an UN-brokered sustainable nationwide intra-Yemeni dialogue."


Comment: The possibility of that seems to be more likely than ever: Yemeni officials allied with West-UAE-Saudi coalition ditch 'UN recognised gov't' to join the defenders of Gaza


Comment: Interestingly, this comes a few days after US intelligence 'sources' claimed that Russia was considering supplying Yemen with weapons, until Saudi Arabia allegedly called for them to reject the deal.

Russia did indeed say that it too would consider supplying friendly, allied nations with weapons, as the West is doing in Ukraine, and Israel, and a myriad of other places. But Russia never specified whether it had done so, nor its intentions.

Either way, it seems that Russia is creating the conditions whereby it can more directly work with Yemen, as China seems to be doing with its unity deal in Gaza, both of which may, ultimately, contribute to neutralising the diabolical forces in the region - or at least to be best prepared for the worst: Hamas and Fatah sign unity deal in Beijing aimed at unity in Gaza governance, blocking Israeli meddling

The factions have agreed an 'interim national reconciliation government', says Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Palestinian factions have signed a "national unity" agreement aimed at maintaining Palestinian control over Gaza once Israel's war on the enclave concludes.

The deal, finalised on Tuesday in China after three days of intensive talks, lays the groundwork for an "interim national reconciliation government" to rule post-war Gaza, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The agreement was signed by long-term rivals Hamas and Fatah, as well as 12 other Palestinian groups.

"Today we sign an agreement for national unity and we say that the path to completing this journey is national unity," said senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk at a news conference in Beijing.

Comment: One gets the impression that whilst the multi-nodal world can't directly intervene to stop Israel and the West's genocide of Palestinians, in the areas that they can work, they are doing.

It may be that these developments will provide the needed diplomatic and legal framework whereby they can do more than they already are.

Altogether it seems this will help strengthen the resistance, their position on the world stage, as well as laying the ground work for a future when the diabolical forces are exposed and neutralised:
