Russia should no longer hold back in Ukraine - Medvedev

Medvedev

The "terrorist operation" in Kursk Region justifies going "to Kiev and further," the former president believes.

Russia should respond to Kiev's attempted incursion in Kursk Region by taking over land that Moscow currently recognizes as Ukraine, former President Dmitry Medvedev has suggested.

The Ukrainian military initiated a cross-border raid involving some 1,000 troops this week, which has so far claimed five civilian lives and left over 30 others wounded in Russia. The operation has largely been thwarted by the Russian army and border guards, Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported on Wednesday. He estimated Ukrainian casualties at 315, including 100 killed in action.

Medvedev, who serves as deputy chair of the Russian Security Council, argued in a post on Thursday:
"From this moment, the special military operation should become openly exterritorial in nature.
We can and should go further into what still exists as Ukraine. To Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev. To Kiev and further. There should be no restrictions in terms of recognized borders."

Comment: EU endorsed Ukraine's incursion into Russia:
The European Union fully supports the actions of Ukraine's forces, including striking Russian territory, European Commission spokesman Peter Stano has said.

The statement came a day after Ukraine launched a major cross-border sortie into Russia's Kursk Region early on Tuesday. At least five civilians were killed in assault as of Wednesday evening, according to the Interim Governor of Kursk, Aleksey Smirnov. Another 31 people - including six children - were injured in the Ukrainian shelling of the town of Sudzha, Russia's Health Ministry said late on Wednesday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called the Kursk attack yet another "large-scale provocation" by Kiev, accusing Ukrainian troops of deliberately targeting civilians.

Commenting on the raid, Stano said Ukraine has the right to defend itself, "including by striking the aggressor on its territory."

"The EU continues to fully support Ukraine's legitimate right to defend itself" and win back its lost territories, the spokesperson told the Ukrainian news network Suspilne on Wednesday.

Kiev considers the Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions, the Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as the Crimean peninsula to be parts of Ukraine. All five territories formerly joined the Russian Federation after a series of democratic referendums.

Ukrainian forces numbering up to a thousand, supported by tanks and artillery, moved across the border in an attempt to take hold of the Sudzhinsky district of Russia's Kursk Region, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday, reporting that the Ukrainian advance had been stopped.

Ukraine also lost at least 54 armored vehicles, including seven tanks during the push, he stated.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova slammed the incursion as: "A massed terrorist attack."
"The barbaric attack aimed to sow panic among the residents of the region and demonstrate at least some semblance of activity, amid the constant failures of the Ukrainian armed forces in the conflict."
Commenting on Kiev's incursion, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said Washington's stance on Ukraine's use of US-supplied weapons in cross-border attacks has not changed, and that "with the actions that they are taking today, they're not in violation of our policy."

Moscow has repeatedly warned that Western arms supplies to Ukraine will not break the course of the conflict, but only prolong it.

This is a very simple demonstration. Please allow me to present only two Exhibits, A and B.

Exhibit A

The stunning confirmation came directly from Russian Deputy FM Ryabkov, during a quite revealing interview on Rossiya TV. Ryabkov, extremely competent, is also the leading Russian sherpa for BRICS+, preparing the summit next October in Kazan.

Essentially, Russian intel discovered that Kiev intel was setting up the joint assassination of President Putin and Defense Minister Belousov during the Navy Day parade late last month in St. Petersburg.

Ryabkov was very cautious - as this is a matter of national security, involving several top agencies. When asked directly whether "an action was being prepared at the Main Naval Parade" against Putin, Ryabkov was not explicit: he only acknowledged the presence of "a certain connection with this kind of event" - according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Ryabkov called this provocation being prepared by Kiev a "very alarming" episode, which was planned in connection "with our internal events in order to inflict maximum damage and obtain the maximum media effect they need."

What's intriguing is how the plot line developed.

Normally we would have Bortnikov (FSB) or Patrushev (special adviser to Putin) picking up the phone and calling the CIA's Burns to ask for a serious explanation.

In this case it was much more hardcore. Belousov himself called the head of the Pentagon, weapons peddler Lloyd "Raytheon" Austin, and told him in no uncertain terms to tighten the leash on the Kiev goons - or else.

Now imagine how the transcript of the blunt Russian message would read.

As Andrei Martyanov remarked, Belousov must have detailed how Kiev would simply cease to exist - and in due time, "so would D.C." if the Americans decided to authorize the hit.

Ryabkov also referred to "some other countries" who would have been part of the package. Translation: Brits and Poles.

What this little story tells us is that Moscow finally seems to be getting the picture: there's no way to deal rationally with terror entities, except to politely tell them in their faces that if certain conditions are fulfilled, they will be incinerated with no mercy.

Poland warns against kicking Hungary out of Schengen

Budapest has recently drawn criticism from its EU peers by easing the visa rules for Russians

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Friday warned against Hungary's potential expulsion from the Schengen Area - a measure proposed as punishment after Budapest eased its entry rules for Russians.

Last month, Budapest extended its special visa regime - the National Card system - to include Russian and Belarusian nationals. The scheme allows foreigners to work in Hungary for up to two years and paves the way for them to apply for permanent residency.

Hungary's move garnered attention after European People's Party Chairman Manfred Weber criticized it in a letter to European Council President Charles Michel, claiming the new scheme could make it easier for "Russian spies" to enter the bloc.

Earlier this week, a group of 67 members of the EU Parliament sent an official letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, demanding Hungary be punished if it refuses to change its visa policy. One of the signatories, Finnish MP Tytti Tuppurainen, proposed introducing border controls with Hungary and ultimately excluding it from the Schengen Area if its new visa requirements are not amended.

Comment: It is clear that Russophobia rules the EU and yet some politicians are at times able to see the danger of splitting the EU up if too much abuse of the power is done.

Comment: Hungary has been steady in resisting the pressure from the EU apparatchiks in Brussels.

Yemen claims hit US Navy destroyers Cole and Laboon with drones and missiles

uss destroyer
There is information coming from the Middle East that the Yemeni Houthis have attacked not only the Israeli port of Eilat. It also became known that in addition to this, they attacked two American warships and commercial maritime transport at once.

It is reported that the destroyers Cole and Laboon of the US Navy were attacked by Yemeni rebels.

Thus, the destroyer Cole was attacked by several drones in the waters of the Gulf of Aden, and the destroyer Labun came under attack from anti-ship missiles. According to some reports, both destroyers received significant damage, with the greatest damage to the USS Laboon, which failed to intercept at least one of the missiles fired by the Houthis.

Comment: Whilst the US have reason to conceal their losses, Ansra Allah aren't known for being deceptive nor would they benefit from being so. Moreover, most of their previous claims have, for the most part, been shown to be accurate: Yemen's 'uninhibited' attacks drive French warship out of Red Sea

The way the West-Israel are going, by the time they succeed in inciting a wider war, they'll already be outnumbered by the multinodal alliance, and be well into the process of suffering death by a thousand cuts - which may, unfortunately be worse for all involved, because the pathocrats may be more liable to take even greater irrational risks than they already are:

Iran and Belarus on Wednesday emphasized the importance of collaborating to counter U.S. unilateralism, according to Iran's official news agency IRNA.

In a meeting in the Iranian capital Tehran, Chief Commander of the Iranian Army Abdolrahim Mousavi and visiting Commander of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Andrey Lukyanovich voiced their willingness to expand bilateral cooperation, especially in the defense sector, the report said.

Mousavi said Iran and Belarus were faced with common threats and shared mutual interests, adding although both countries were under the U.S. and Western "cruel" sanctions, they were independent.

Aleksandar Vucic has said the security services are working on leads provided by Moscow

Russia warned Serbia about a potential coup attempt, President Aleksandar Vucic told journalists on Friday. His statement came a day before an expected protest in the nation's capital. According to Vucic, Serbia's Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) is already acting on the leads provided by Moscow.

"We received official information from the Russian Federation, information transmitted and brought through official channels," the president said, adding that the authorities "are dealing with it" and there is no reason to worry.

Vucic did not elaborate on where the threat comes from or who is behind it. "Serbia is moving forward and they cannot and will not stop it," he said

Kiev regime's terrorism shows Russia must go all the way to defeat NATO in Ukraine

Clown Fired Off!
© Pubic Domain
The terrorist cross-border attacks on the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation this week underscore that Russia must liquidate NATO's regime in Ukraine.

The United States and European Union - the sponsors of the Nazi-adulating Kiev regime and its illegitimate self-appointed president Vladimir Zelensky - talk cynically about "Ukraine's right to self-defense" in endorsing this week's murderous incursion.

This is a disgraceful apology for outright terrorism. The assaults targeted civilians in Kursk and Belgorod. Apartment blocks were shelled and families fleeing in cars were shot at and killed. Even ambulances and paramedics evacuating the wounded were fatally attacked. The U.S. and EU are using the same vile, duplicitous rhetoric of self-defense that they apply to Israel's genocidal violence in Gaza.

There is no equivalence - as the U.S. and EU shamefully make out - with Russia's ongoing special military operation that was launched in February 2022. The Western powers claim Russia is the aggressor when the facts are that Moscow took action in response to years-long NATO-backed aggression against the ethnic Russian population of formerly eastern Ukraine. Russian forces have gone to great lengths to avoid civilian casualties. That is partly why this conflict has dragged on for so long because Russian forces are not wantonly attacking Ukrainian towns and cities in American-style shock-and-awe obliteration.

Not so the Kiev regime and its Nazi paramilitaries who have made a barbaric speciality of deliberately killing Russian civilians. The terroristic logic was candidly spelled out this week by Zelensky's aides who brazenly said the purpose of the attacks in Kursk and Belgorod was to "instill fear in the Russian population" to destabilize the Russian government. That is the definition of terrorism.

70 Israeli special forces, American mercenaries neutralized by Yemen during infiltration operation - Col. Douglas Macgregor

Technology changes war, and when it changes, those who struggle to adapt will suffer.
Col Macgregor reports that an attempt to infiltrate Yemen resulted in a complete disaster courtesy of Russian satellite technology.

Andrew Napolitano: Colonel was there recently some military activity by the Houthies which resulted in about 70 deaths of IDF and some American contractors about which you can tell us?

Col. Douglas Macgregor: Well, I can tell you only what I found through open source material. I haven't seen anything classified but I am reliably told that roughly 70 Israeli Special Forces along with some number of Americans, the total number was 70. How many were American mercenaries that joined in this operation, I don't know what the exact breakdown was, but it was obviously mostly Israeli. They infiltrated successfully into Yemen, but they were tracked from the moment they infiltrated by overhead satellites, presumably Russian, and the Russians provided this information to the Iranians who immediately telegraphed it to the Houthis. Whatever you say about the Houthis, they're tough hombres on the battlefield.

Desperate: Zelensky aide reveals goal of cross-border raid is to 'instill fear' among Russian population

Kiev launched its cross-border incursion into Kursk Region in an attempt to instill fear among the Russian population, a senior aide to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has said.

Ukrainian forces began an offensive in the Russian region earlier this week, allocating troops for the operation despite being pushed back elsewhere on the front line. Kiev's objectives include placing Russians under psychological pressure in a bid to erode support for their government, Mikhail Podoliak stated in a television interview on Thursday.

"Today they have a war that is expanding deeper inside the Russian Federation. Will they fear that? Yes," he claimed. "Do they respond to anything but fear? No, and everyone should realize that at last."

Kiev's forces have reportedly used Marder infantry fighting vehicles their cross-border incursion

German-made heavy armor pieces are rolling through the fields of Russia's Kursk Region again, some 80 years since one of the biggest battles of WWII in the same area, Bild wrote on Thursday, reporting on Kiev's cross-border incursion.

The German tabloid, citing videos posted online, said that several Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) have been spotted among the equipment used by the Ukrainian military in its offensive, launched early on Tuesday. The media outlet pointed to footage published by the Russian Defense Ministry, which shows IFVs being hit with Russian kamikaze drones.

Thursday morning, the ministry published a clip showing the destruction of at least three Marder vehicles by Russian Lancet drones, among other strikes on Ukrainian military equipment. The armor pieces were hit while moving along dirt roads and through a wooded area.

Comment: Russia has warned that Russia can also send weapons to those who have an axe to grind with the countries in the West and according to the new rules, then Russia can also claim to have nothing to do with how such weapons might be used.
