Confidential UN brief reveals no proof Iran sent missiles to Houthis

While the Saudi-led coalition and Washington have accused Iran of the Yemeni rebel missile attack targeting King Khalid International Airport near Riyadh, Tehran has strongly denied the claims.

On November 10, a panel appointed by the UN Security Council sent a confidential letter to diplomats, which states that it has seen no proof of Saudi Arabia's claims that Iran was responsible for the recent missile attack by the Yemeni Houthi rebels targeting Riyadh, the US-based investigative website The Intercept reported on Friday.

According to the members of the panel, the tightening of Yemen's blockade by the Saudi-led coalition and the invocation by Saudi Arabia of paragraph 14 of resolution 2216, which allows UN member states to take measures to prevent the transfer of military goods to Houthis, is allegedly an attempt to impede the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemeni civilians. However, Riyadh insists that the closure of all Yemeni ground, air and sea ports by the Saudi-led coalition forces is temporary and will not interfere with food deliveries to the country.

"Logic": U.S. threatens to close Palestinian Liberation Org office in DC if they support prosecuting Israeli criminals

plo dc office
The government of US President Donald Trump has threatened to close down the Palestine Liberation Organization's office in Washington, DC, if it supports a Palestinian bid to prosecute Israeli officials at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to a law passed by the US Congress, Palestinians would be stripped of the right to have a mission in the US capital if they support an ICC investigation of Israelis for committing crimes against them.

Apparently, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson now thinks that Palestinian leaders have ran afoul of that law but it is up to Trump to make the decision, the Associated Press reported Friday, citing a State Department official.

This means Trump has 90 days to consider whether the Palestinians are in "direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel," the official said. If Trump determines they are, the Palestinian office stays open.

The official claimed that even if the office closes, Washington would not cut off relations with the Palestinians and continue to work towards "a comprehensive peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians."

Comment: It's illegal and immoral to bring attention to, and demand consequences for, Israeli illegality and immorality.

Israel has been failing all over the place in recent years: Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Syria, "Kurdistan". We can always hope and pray that their next epic failure will be their attempt to destroy any chance for a free and independent Palestine. It's about time. And it's about time we see some Israeli war criminals locked up, sanctioned, or otherwise removed from the rest of the civilized world.

Revelations from a high-profile Qatari official reveal a wider anti-Syria conspiracy

Hamad Bin Jassim
A few days ago, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Hamad Bin Jassim in an interview with the BBC announced that his country had been providing all sorts of assistance to the armed opposition groups in Syria through Turkey for years. At the same time, Doha wasn't alone to show its supports to anti-Assad forces, as it was joined by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE and Turkey itself. All this began back in 2007 after Israel suffered a humiliating defeat in South Lebanon, while being unable to overcome Hezbollah's resistance in 2006. According to the former Qatari Prime Minister, Qatar was in charge of the so-called "Syrian Dossier" on behalf of the US and Saudi Arabia, adding that he had access to both American and Saudi paperwork on the staging of a so-called "Syrian civil war."

Hamad Bin Jassim announced that weapons and equipment was distributed to all sorts of opposition groups via Turkey. These operations were a common routine of American, Turkish and Saudi military personnel in this country. At the same time, the Incirlik Air Force base would host a joint operational headquarters, where intelligence officers from the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Morocco, Jordan, Israel, France and Great Britain would coordinate the course of proxy operations in Syria. Washington has gone as far as to dispatch 6 special reconnaissance satellites for those officers to observe the entire territory of Syria 24 hours a day non-stop. This operational command center was in charge of military operations in the north of Syria. As for the operations in southern parts of Syria, to coordinate those Washington created a similar command center at the King Hussein Air Base in Jordan, where officers from Jordan, Israel, the United States, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar would join their efforts in a bid to outsmart Syria's government.

Time off for good behavior? Ex-Lebanese PM Hariri in France to meet Macron

hariri macron
Prime Minister Saad Hariri plans to return to Lebanon in time for independence celebrations on Nov. 22 after a two-week absence sparked concern that his country may once again turn into a battleground for a showdown between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Hariri were set to meet at noon for talks in Paris Saturday, followed by lunch at the Elysee Palace. Lebanon President Michel Aoun told his French counterpart that Hariri intends to attend next week's independence ceremony, which commemorates the end of France's mandate in the country in 1943, according to an aide.

Hariri, 47, has been away from Lebanon since his shock resignation announcement from Saudi Arabia on Nov. 4, which sparked fears of an escalating regional conflict between the kingdom and Iran. The Saudi government has denied accusations it was holding Hariri against his will. The kingdom recalled its ambassador to Germany in response to comments made by Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel that the official Saudi Press Agency did not specify.

Comment: NYT adds:
The meeting with Mr. Macron came hours after a phone call between Mr. Macron and the Lebanese president, Michel Aoun, the French president's office said. Officials said that Mr. Aoun had thanked Mr. Macron for "France's actions in favor of Lebanon" and confirmed that Mr. Hariri would be in Beirut for Lebanon's Independence Day holiday, which is Wednesday.

Mr. Hariri later said in statements to the news media that he would announce his position on the crisis in his country after holding talks with Mr. Aoun.

"As you know, I have resigned and we will speak about this matter there," Mr. Hariri told reporters, referring to Lebanon, as he was leaving the Élysée Palace, where he met with Mr. Macron for over 30 minutes, before gathering for lunch with his wife, their oldest son and Mr. Macron's wife.

Dubai Airshow 2017, one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world, ended on Nov.16, having drawn over 79,000 trade visitors, up around 20% over the last version of the event in 2015. The total order tally is $113.8 billion in orders. It nearly tripled from the $37.2 billion signed two years ago.

Russia's exposition at the Dubai Airshow 2017 included the combat helicopter Ka-52, multi-mission fighter MiG-29M, Su-35 super-maneuverable air defense fighter, Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft, combat-transport helicopter Mi-35M, long-range air defense system S-400 Triumph, and short-range air defense missile system Pantsir-S1. The 'Russian Knights' aerobatic demonstration team performed extraordinary stunts riding through the skies to greatly impress spectators.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is interested in procuring the Sukhoi Su-35 multi-role fighter. The country is considering the purchase of 10 or more of such aircraft. The UAE and Russia signed a letter of intent on the purchase of Su-35 fighter jets in Feb. 2017. The talks are in progress. The Emirates will be the second country after China to buy the plane.

Jesse Jackson announces he has Parkinson's days after sexual harassment allegations

Obamacare, eat your heart out. The trendy new Medical Card being used by all the hip Democrats these days helps them escape tight legal spots and negative press.

Jesse Jackson announced today with bizarre and great fanfare that he has Parkinson's Disease, just days after he was accused of sexually harassing a reporter - the latest in a long list of sexual exploits linked to the good reverend through the years.

But he's a sick man now, so let's not go there.

The timing of these maladies are becoming somewhat comical. Jackson announced his disease on Twitter on Friday. Isn't that how everyone discloses their medical diagnoses these days?

Only if you are an embattled Democrat in legal trouble or headed for even deeper trouble like Hillary Clinton or honorary Democrat John McCain.

Jackson doesn't like True Pundit poking around either. We can't even display his Tweet announcing his disease, as he has blocked us from accessing his Twitter account.

Busy guy fighting sexual harassment, rolling out a disease on social media like a Bar Mitzvah and then doing God's work of blocking conservative journalists.

Comment: The #MeToo avalanche continues. The allegations may range everywhere from slightly inappropriate behavior to outright assault, but one thing's clear: the establishment is losing all credibility in the eyes of much of the public (liberal and conservative). That's one way to drain the swamp, we suppose.

Sarah Sanders takes down April Ryan and Crooked Hillary in one sentence

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a White House briefing today after a week of explosive sexual allegations against Judge Roy Moore, Democrat Al Sharpton and more Hollywood stars.

During the briefing American Urban Radio Networks correspondent asked her about Hillary Clinton's worried remarks on President Trump. It was a lob ball and Sanders hit it out of the park.
April Ryan: I was talking to Hillary Clinton today about the president's past and she said, "Look I worry about everything from his past because it tells you how he behaves in the present and the future." What do you say to that as it relates to these allegations of the president?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: I think Hillary Clinton probably should have dealt with some of her own issues before addressing this president.
Zing! Huckabee Sanders quickly moved on to the next question. Too funny!

Erdogan withdraws troops from Norway after he is listed as 'enemy' during NATO drills (UPDATE)

Comment: Update Sat 18 Nov 2017

Erdogan has rebuffed a NATO apology:
"There can be no alliance like that. Yesterday, you have witnessed the impudence at NATO exercises in Norway. There are some mistakes that cannot be committed by fools but only by vile people," Erdogan said in a televised speech. He added that the incident shows "a reflection of a distorted point of view that we have observed in NATO for a while. This matter cannot be covered over with a simple apology."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the country's troops have left ongoing NATO war games ahead of schedule, after his name appeared in an "enemy chart." The move comes amid tensions between the US and Turkey within the military bloc.

On Friday, the Turkish leader slammed an "incident" during NATO drills in Norway, in which Erdogan himself and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who founded the modern Turkish state, were depicted in an "enemy chart."

"They used an enemy chart in Norway. In that chart, there was my name and [Mustafa Kemal] Ataturk's picture," the Turkish leader told his Justice and Development (AK) Party members, as cited by Turkish media.

Tucker Carlson: We are witnessing 'the end of the Clinton era'

Bill and Hillary Clinton
Tucker Carlson said that 25 years ago this month, then-Gov. Bill Clinton (D-Ark.) was elected president of the United States, thereby beginning the Clinton Era in America.

Carlson said that this month, the "Clinton dynasty" is collapsing, a quarter century after Clinton bested President George H.W. Bush on November 3, 1992.

He said that the comments by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), saying Clinton should've been held accountable for accusations of sexual misconduct against him in the 1990s, helps highlight how we are seeing the end of their era.
