Bibi actually thinks he convinced Trump to ditch Iran nuke deal

Netanyahu
© ReutersBenjamin Netanyahu speaks during a news conference in Tel Aviv, Israel, April 30, 2018
Benjamin Netanyahu said that it was Israel that convinced Donald Trump to ditch the landmark Iranian nuclear deal in a recording released by local media. Bibi insists that he "had to stand up against the whole world."

The recording was released by Kan public broadcaster on Twitter and the story was quickly picked up by the Times of Israel. The PM is seen speaking in Hebrew to activists and senior members from his ruling Likud party in a closed meeting reportedly dated earlier in July.

Netanyahu boasts that "we" - apparently referring to the state of Israel - "convinced the US president" to exit the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the Iranian nuclear deal. "I had to stand up against the whole world and come out against this agreement," Netanyahu says in the video, as cited by the Times of Israel. "And we didn't give up."

Comment: ZeroHedge adds:
While it appears Netanyahu had his April televised presentation in mind when he says in the clip "I had to stand up against the whole world," there is also little doubt that his personal appeals to Trump on the issue were even more direct and persistent. Other signatories to the deal brokered in 2015 under the Obama administration have vowed to stick by it, which include Britain, France, Germany, Russia, and China - even as the White House threatens punitive measures against any country that continues to do business with Iran.

Earlier this summer it was confirmed that a high level joint US-Israeli "working group" under the oversight of National Security Advisor John Bolton has been meeting for months with the goal of facilitating regime change in Tehran. As Axios reported: "Israel and the United States formed a joint working group a few months ago that is focused on internal efforts to encourage protests within Iran and pressure the country's government." So it's very clear that Netanyahu has the White House's ear on Iran (though this is no surprise).

Meanwhile, Netanyahu has posted to his official Twitter account a clip of Trump saying that Russian President Putin is a "Bibi fan". The statement came in a Fox News interview following the US president's summit and press conference with Putin.

In the uploaded clip Trump said he and Putin "came to a lot of good conclusions" during the meeting, including "a really good conclusion for Israel, something very strong." Trump said Putin is "a believer in Israel; he is a fan of Bibi and really helping him a lot - and will help a lot, which is good for all of us."

Netanyahu posted the interview segment with the commentary in Hebrew: "I will continue to strengthen Israel as a rising global force."

Likely, Netanyahu will continue his boasting about his personal intervention and impact with the White House both in public and in private, so more such revelatory footage will probably surface in the coming months.

Japan-EU bilateral no-tariffs trade deal amid Trump's protectionism

Leaders use largest bilateral free trade deal to send clear message to US president

The EU and Japan say approval of the world's largest bilateral free trade deal shines a "light in the darkness" of global political uncertainty.

Japan's prime minister, Shinzo Abe, and the EU leaders Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker sought to establish themselves as the flag-bearers of the free world, in response to Donald Trump's show of apparent solidarity with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday.

The leaders promoted the benefits of a free trade deal that is set to eliminate nearly all tariffs on products traded between Japan and the EU.

Tusk, the president of the European council and an outspoken critic of the Trump administration in recent months, was particularly keen to celebrate the shared values of the signatories, not only in terms of trade but also foreign policy.

Comment: Keywords like "rules", "order" and "cooperation" have been repeated a lot recently in respect to America's behaviour on the world stage. With the US' fading influence around the world it will find itself with little choice but to cooperate in a way it has not had to do for more than half a century: Also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: Trump Ditches Europe, Europe Bluffs, Russia and China Carry on With Eurasian Integration

Congratulations in order to President Trump for an excellent summit with Putin

Putin Trump helsinki caption
Republicans, Democrats, and most of the mainstream media blast Trump for his joint press conference with Putin. I cheer.

President Trump dropped his demand that the EU stop Nordstream2 and Russia agreed to work with the US on various issues.

Here is the 48 minute YouTube Video of the Helsinki Summit.

Deep State in panic mode: Putin may have shared devastating information with Trump - and he's not telling

obama deep state
We reported over the weekend that ->
The Democrats, Deep State Mueller and Rosenstein and their MSM are doing all they can to prevent President Donald Trump from meeting with Russian President Putin.

Why are they so persistent in stopping the President of the US from meeting with Putin? You would think this was a good thing, right?

President Trump is planning on meeting with Russian President Putin over the next few days in Finland. These will be the first scheduled meetings between the US President, accused by the Democrats and the Deep State and their MSM of the fake story of colluding with the Russians during the 2016 campaign.

The Deep State is going crazy - CNN reports the following -
"President Trump should cancel his meeting with Vladimir Putin until Russia takes demonstrable and transparent steps to prove that they won't interfere in future elections. Glad-handing with Vladimir Putin on the heels of these indictments would be an insult to our democracy," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement.

The top Democrat in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, tweeted, "@realDonaldTrump must immediately cancel his meeting with Putin."
Far left VOX goes as far as to call the meeting a gift for Putin.

Corrupt Rosenstein came out Friday with a quickly scheduled presser to announce the indictment of another 12 Russians supposedly who interfered in the 2016 election. The case however, like the prior indictments against Russians, appears weak at best. Numerous observations already over the weekend show the indictments are suspect.

So why are the Democrats, the Deep State and the MSM so petrified of President Trump meeting with Putin? The answer is because they are deathly afraid of not what Putin might tell Trump but what evidence Putin might have that would indict their leaders in prior criminal actions.
-> We nailed it!

Flashback Best of the Web: Pentagon Launches Global Fake News And Cyberwarfare Campaign to Influence Populations Foreign and Domestic

fake news pentagon
The Pentagon is developing plans to provide news items, possibly even false ones, to foreign media organizations as part of a new effort to influence public sentiment and policy makers in both friendly and unfriendly countries, military officials said.

The plans, which have not received final approval from the Bush administration, have stirred opposition among some Pentagon officials who say they might undermine the credibility of information that is openly distributed by the Defense Department's public affairs officers.

The military has long engaged in information warfare against hostile nations -- for instance, by dropping leaflets and broadcasting messages into Afghanistan when it was still under Taliban rule.

But it recently created the Office of Strategic Influence, which is proposing to broaden that mission into allied nations in the Middle East, Asia and even Western Europe. The office would assume a role traditionally led by civilian agencies, mainly the State Department.

The small but well-financed Pentagon office, which was established shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was a response to concerns in the administration that the United States was losing public support overseas for its war on terrorism, particularly in Islamic countries.

Comment: In short, what the CIA did sporadically in the dark for decades went mainstream right after 9/11. Here we are 17 years later and the media is saturated with lies.

Russia ready to boost security cooperation with US on Syria, nuclear and more

Russia's Defense Ministry on Tuesday said it stands ready to step up cooperation with the U.S. on international security matters outlined by President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at their Monday summit in Helsinki.

"The Russian Defense Ministry is ready for practical implementation of the agreements in the sphere of international security reached by Russian and U.S. Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, at their Monday's summit in Helsinki," Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the ministry said, according to the Russian state-run news agency TASS.

Konashenkov said that Russia was ready to enter into discussions about extending the New START Treaty, which places caps on deployable nuclear weapons.

As of now, that treaty is set to expire in 2021.

Best of the Web: Trump and Putin strike a glorious blow for peace!

Cumbre Trump - Putin y Estado Profundo
The Vlad and Donald show in Helsinki Monday was simply brilliant and breathtaking - we'd say even a beautiful thing to behold.

Between them, they left CNN's nattering nabobs of neocon nonsense sounding like the shrieking monkeys they actually are. And that's to say nothing of the fools they made out of the newly minted liberal and progressive warmongers on the Dem side of the aisle in Washington or the so-called journalists who fill 90% of the space in the so-called mainstream media with endless pro-war propaganda.

But most of all it was the single greatest blow to the War Party since it turned Imperial Washington into a colossal menace bent on global hegemony when the Soviet Union slithered off the pages of history in 1991.

We have said all along that Putin and Russia have been demonized because the Warfare State desperately needs an "enemy" to justify its $800 billion annual mugging of America's taxpayers. Yet today's spontaneous chorus by the two leaders in behalf of détente, dialogue and diplomacy puts the kibosh on that Big Lie more completely than could 100 Ted Talks or a year's worth of pro-peace op eds in the Washington Post.

So Flyover America will have no trouble seeing the good of the Helsinki Summit. Trump and Putin just killed it on every topic where the War Party and its shills in the press wanted to drive a wedge.

That is to say, cooperation on Syria, arms control, terrorism, North Korea, Ukraine; friendly competition on supplying natural gas to Europe; an invitation to Mueller to send his legal sleuths to Russia to participate in the interrogation of the 12 GRU ham sandwiches named in the indictment; and best of all, a reciprocal notion that Russian prosecutors come here to question Deep State operatives about how they helped one of the greatest scoundrels of modern times, Bill Browder, abscond from Russia with almost $1.5 billion skimmed from its people and on which he and his posse paid zero taxes either there or here.

More face spasms and brain freezes: Pelosi suffers another face spasm saying 'intelligence'

Pelosi face spasm
"Intelligence" triggers Nancy Pelosi.

When the House Minority Leader attempted to say the word today, she suffered a face spasm - just one of several during today's press conference with Intelligence Committee Democrats.

While introducing her colleagues, Pelosi said, "I'm very honored to stand, uh, before members of the House Intelligence Committee," suffering a face spasm.

She repeated herself - while reading from note cards.

"We also want to protect, we also want to protect the Muell- the integrity of the Mueller investigation," Pelosi said.

White House press secretary says Trump was answering different question when he said Russia wasn't targeting US

Sara Sanders

When he appeared to claim that Russia was no longer a threat to US, Donald Trump was actually saying that he would not field the question asked, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders insists.

At the end of a press briefing on Wednesday, Trump was asked "Is Russia still targeting the US?" to which Trump said "Thank you very much, no." As the press was being shepherded out, he listened in to several more queries, also dismissing them with a curt "Thank you very much everybody."

You can judge the moment for yourself here (approximately 44:30):

Trump-Putin summit hysteria shows Western pundits only believe Russian 'propaganda' when it praises Trump

russian press trump putin
© Mladen Antonov/AFP/Getty ImagesThe front pages of Russia's July 17 newspapers feature pictures of the summit between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.
The West's double standards toward Russian media have been on full display this week after the hysteria over the Putin-Trump Summit in Helsinki.

The Western Mainstream Media routinely characterizes Russian media as "propaganda" on the misleading basis that publicly financed media outlets and those that regularly have exclusive scoops from government figures are supposedly "state-run". The prevailing narrative is that nothing that comes out of Russia should be believed because it might be part of a "Kremlin disinformation operation", whether it concerns Ukraine, Syria, or whatever else might be the topic of the day. Interestingly, that strict "standard" was just contradicted by none other than those same Western Mainstream Media outlets themselves after they reported on Russian media's positive response to the Putin-Trump Summit in Helsinki and hinted that this means that the American President might have committed "treason".

The wink-and-a-nod editorial suggestion is that the Kremlin couldn't contain its joy at whatever was secretly agreed between it and the White House behind closed doors, sloppily ordering its "propaganda proxies" to exuberantly sing Trump's praises in what is now being framed as the ultimate "gotcha" moment that supposedly proves that something nefarious happened. This conspiratorial perspective proves just how desperately The Establishment is grasping for straws in order to concoct reasons for Americans to condemn the President for his very successful summit, which in the words of both leaders was a milestone in restoring the previously fraught relations between these two Great Powers. That, however, is precisely what the "deep state" is against because of its ideological opposition to any pragmatic cooperation with Russia.

Comment: In a nutshell:

RT: "The Maidan in Ukraine was an illegal coup. Crimeans voted to rejoin Russia." Western press: "OMG! Russian propaganda!"

RT: "The Trump-Putin summit was a success." Western press: "OMG! Putin made Trump his slave!"

It's actually quite entertaining to watch the steady disintegration of the Western press's collective capacity for rational thought.
