Military personnel from NATO countries, under the guise of mercenaries, operate air defense systems, multiple launch rocket systems, and tactical missile systems in Ukraine, Colonel General Sergey Rudskoy, chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff and First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

"NATO military personnel, under the guise of mercenaries, participate in hostilities. They control air defense systems, tactical missiles and multiple launch rocket systems, and are part of assault detachments," he said.

Comment: It's likely that Russia has had this information for a short while (at the least), and so one might ask whether there's a reason they're releasing the information now? Could it be partly related to Russia's recent win in Avdeevka, and the expected escalation of provocations from Europe?

I think not.

They can keep quiet, and wait for the right time. I think they knew from the very moment such Western AD systems were delivered. They know how long it takes to train specialists for their own systems, and exprapolate that to circumstances in the Ukraine. No way the Ukrainians could have effectively manned and used them.

Correct. I know for a fact that Ukrainian soldiers were provided with training on certain NATO weapon systems, provided by the UK and US.

The training, which should have taken weeks, was done is mere days. The Ukranians weren't interested in the specifications or any kind of safety. They simply wanted to know how to use it, aim and shoot.

No way would they be effective in the use of this equipment.

I have it on good authority that troops were told to deploy with live ammunition, fentanyl, and body bags, among other things.
