Footage posted on the website of private broadcaster TVN24 showed Grzegorz Braun of the Confederation party take the extinguisher before walking across the lobby of the parliament to where the candles were, creating a white cloud and forcing security guards to rush people out of the area.
Members of the Jewish community, including children, had gone to parliament at speaker Szymon Holownia's invitation for its annual Hanukkah celebrations.
The footage showed people in the vicinity covered in powder from the extinguisher.
Afterwards Braun took to the podium in the chamber where he described Hanukkah as "satanic" and said he was restoring "normality".
Asked just after the incident if he was ashamed, Braun replied: "Those who take part in acts of satanic worship should be ashamed."
Magdalena Gudzinska-Adamczyk was present at the scene and footage showed her challenging Braun as he extinguished the candles.
"I feel very short of breath and have trouble speaking," she told TVN24, her face covered in white powder. "I have stopped feeling safe in this country."
Holownia excluded Braun from the sitting of parliament ahead of a confidence vote in newly appointed pro-EU prime minister Donald Tusk and said he would inform prosecutors about his actions.
He later said that Braun would lose half of his salary for three months and all parliamentary expenses for six months.
"There will be no tolerance for racism, xenophobia, antisemitism ... as long as I am the speaker of parliament," Holownia told reporters.
Braun, who has previously caused a ruckus by approaching and shouting at lawmakers as they address parliament, left the chamber, shaking hands with other far-right lawmakers.
His Confederation party had been tipped to hold the balance of power after the Oct. 15 election after a campaign in which it focused mainly on economic issues and criticising the extent of Poland's aid to Ukraine. However, in the end it only won 18 seats, up from 11 in 2019.
Poland's Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich told Reuters by telephone that Braun's actions were not representative of the country and that he was "embarrassed" by them.
"Someone extinguished the Hanukkah candles and a few minutes later we relit them," he said. "For thousands of years our enemies have been trying to extinguish us, from the time of the Maccabees right through to Hamas. But our enemies should learn, they cannot extinguish us."
Cardinal Grzegorz Rys of Poland's Catholic church said in a statement posted on social media platform X that he was ashamed of Braun's actions.
"(I) apologise to the entire Jewish community in Poland," he wrote.

He could have said something like "You don't get to celebrate the recovery of Jerusalem in our statehouse while the Zionists who insist 'to be Jewish is to be a Zionist' commit genocide on their doorstep."
He sounds like an idiot calling them satanic when he could have gained the support of Jewish anti-Zionists instead of making enemies of all of them. What a jack-ass!
You might ask why only the menorah is burning there, why are there no other symbols from other religions?
Why doesn't anyone in the world celebrate Poland regaining independence in this way? :-))
Another thing is, does my friend know the meaning of the menorah symbol?
Or maybe my friend had the opportunity to read the Talmud?
If the gesture of defiance against the Polish culture has triggered some discourse then there is no harm in that....if it is not understood - the symbols presented - the meaning behind them - then tis nothing but narrative - and sometimes fires need to be extinguished.
I’m just glad to see people finally pushing back against Israel.
They have played the victim’s forever, and after their recent atrocities against the Palestinians the world is finally seeing them for who they actually are.
I agree with what you're saying if only the menorah is displayed and no Christian displays in a mostly Christian country, though I do not know if this is the case. This was a specific event. Is it the case that no other religious displays are in the parliament? If so, this is also a point he should have made! Yet another point he should have made!
"Jewish satanists" is the least constructive of all the statements he could have made. I think that is the thinnest of arguments he could have made.
And while the media would call him Antisemitic no matter what, at least if he hadn't just called them satanists many more people would come to his defense.
A politician playing to the most base accusations is certainly no statesman and only helps the NGOs forming the NWO like the WEF, UN, WHO, etc.
But the zeitgeist has provided the guy with a defence of what you might call "extenuating circumstances".
There is going to be Justified Retribution.
But all these rumors are quite unreliable.First, the menorah symbol predates the liberation of Jerusalem.
Secondly, why does he usually have 7 candles... while the one in Poland had 9??
There is no clear explanation here on the part of the Jews.
Another issue is the Talmud. I tried to get it once, do you think I succeeded? ;-)))
As for Mr. Braun himself, I wouldn't write off his opinion straight away... he's not just anyone.
Here is his small biography from Polish Wikipedia:
"Grzegorz Michał Braun (born March 11, 1967 in Toruń) - Polish far-right politician, director, screenwriter, academic teacher and publicist, and monarchist[1][2]. Candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland in the 2015 elections, member of the 9th Sejm and 10th term, president of the Konfederacja Korony Polskiej political party and one of the leaders of the federal party Konfederacja Wolność i Niepodległości.
Curriculum vitaeIn 1990, he graduated from Polish studies at the University of Wrocław[3]. He started working at this university and taught journalism there until 2007. In 1993, he completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia.
In the years 1990–1994 he was a publicist and member of the editorial board of the quarterly "Fronda"[4]. Later he worked, among others, for Radio Wrocław. As a film director, he has over 20 titles to his credit, including: a documentary film created in 2005 entitled Positive pluses, negative pluses about Lech Wałęsa's contacts with the Security Service. He is also the co-creator of the TV series "Table with broken legs"[5] and Errata do biography, revealing secret agent threads in the biographies of famous Poles. He became a publicist, among others. in the monthly "Opcja na Prawa" and in the bimonthly "Magna Polonia".
What could be better than that I ask with no ill will.
What could be better than good friends face-to-face and if the zigaboos think they got standing on that....
then let me say this - take your candles and shove them up your hateful ideology!
People have all sorts of bizarre religions.
I don't mind.
But I think now is a bad time to be making a showpiece out of this particular bizarre religion.
so in saying so, he is referencing something that other christians recognize....
make more sense now?
You have reminded me of Polish immigrant friends who my family lost track of when they moved to Boston. If I could recall how their last name is spelled I would look them up. I only know we pronounced their family name "Kora" or "Koreh"-zinsky. I would play Nintendo with the son, and he was really smart, but 3-4 years older than me. I think he was a 9th grade student when I was in 6th grade.
The father was one of the few men I ever saw my Dad in a casual friendship with, which is kind of weird now that I think about it. But our closest neighbor was an abusive alcoholic on one side, a retired policeman curmudgeon on another, and a handful of quite elderly neighbors. I remember one time just the two of them were sitting in the middle of the yard in lawn chairs sipping vodka, no ice. My Dad decided to test how naive I still was by offering me a drink of water. I was old enough that it obviously wasn't. I passed his little test, lol. We had several Polish families move to our small town at once in the 80s, then to bigger cities with Polish communities later on. My Mom would teach English to a woman named Danuta in exchange for lessons in how to make authentic Polish food. So many pierogi! It was the best of times.
(TIL "pierogi" is plural and "pieróg" is singular.)
Back to the topic:
I don't know what to think of a "monarchist" politician as I believe in a decentralized democracy. I don't think the guy is an idiot, just that what he did was idiotic. If he's playing "4D chess" I guess then I will see. His CV is more interesting than I would have guessed though.
The politician's actions make more sense if we accept that he himself has a shallow understanding of the bible passage or is misusing it purposely to grandstand.
The bible is one of the most contextually dependent books ever written. I use either Bible Gateway or Bible Hub to help provide that context. Both sites show numerous versions of the bible side by side so you can see how differently they can be interpreted, but they also show the preceding and following verses. [Link]
And when you become an observer, you notice that around Hanukkah, Jews love to massacre people. This is especially clear if we know the earlier history of their actions... could they also be honoring the conquest of Jerusalem with these massacres? ;-)
If we are already talking about biblical parables, I would only say this: "By their deeds you will recognize them"... I don't know if it sounds like that in English, but you can understand it :-))
PS> It doesn't matter what we call them.
PPS> I don't know why people from abroad love pierogi so much?:-)))
I think the distinction here is that you cannot call Orthodox anti-Zionist Jews "satanists" or "members of the synagogue of Satan" if Braun is actually referring to the Book of Revelation because they are by definition not who John the Revelator was referring to. A statesman needs to make that distinction clear. Conflating the two is an actual demonstration of antisemitism, because it reveals one would eliminate the benign along with the malignant, and the Orthodox Jews are the next targets of the Zionists. The Biden administration just labeled all Orthodox Jews as antisemitic.
PS - Pierogi are a comfort food and I come from a part of the country where German, Norwegian, and Polish food are ingrained in the culture. My grandfathers were both German and one grandmother was French and the other Polish.
Since this incident, no one has quoted his words in the press, nor has he given an interview to anyone. There are plenty of texts from those who comment on the incident, but he was not allowed to say a word :-)
Oh, and we're talking about many penalties, financial ones, the prosecutor's office, and now it turns out that he was kicked out of the party club and, on top of that, he was banned from speaking in the Sejm... just a little tidbit at the end.
PS> You have very diverse roots :-)
What does Satan mean?Satan is the one called BAAL by the Ashkenazi Jews.
Baal is an idol that must be fed with the blood of little children and their hearts. It looks like a furnace, with a fire burning in its belly all the time. This is where babies were thrown to please Baal.
The figure of Baal itself, of course, reached Europe from Asia. It was brought with them by those who conquered Europe from the south... the Khazars.
Back then, it was a time of plunder and rape, because the Khazar army could be hired by anyone who had money, but on the condition that the soldiers could rape, kill and rob.
Khazaria was located in what is now Ukraine, only later Kievan Rus decided to destroy Khazaria, which they succeeded in doing.
The coat of arms of Ukraine... is a COPY OF THE KHAZR COAT OF ARM... which anyone can check.
However, in addition to the Khazris, who actually became Jews around the 9th century, adopting Judaism as their leading religion, there were also Jews of different blood.
Those who lived scattered and generally did not pose a threat. I have personally dealt with such Jews in my life, because these Jews found a haven in Poland for about 800 years.
If you do not distinguish between these two things, there will always be problems and arguments.
That's why I wrote earlier... you will know by your actions... everything else can be faked.
From: [Link] Well - that still doesn't explain - why 7?
It is 3-1-3 sort of balanced thing or is it "seven" for another reason...
~~~~
OK - here is a snippet I just found: I think I better understand the way you described it LadyRad - after that quick check on other info...now I understand better, but still...it seems a bit "odd" - what happens if there is another "miracle" - gonna have to make an 11 candle setup?
BK
The main candle is called SHAMASH. What does SUN mean in Chaldean/
There was a time when people thought there were only 8 planets in the solar system. They didn't know Uranus and Pluto, so there were 7 candles.
But today we know 8 planets! + 9 candle is the sun, i.e. SHAMAS.
I don't know if this is the real intention of creating this candle, but for me it is the most rational.
At the end of the day presently - "who knows" I reckon....
I hope they don't dock too much of that fellas pay, but I suspect he has some good friends.
Ba'al ("owner, master, lord") z'bhubh (fly), aka Beelzebub, was Lord of the Flies and was a tribal deity of the Philistines (the name the Romans gave to the Jews and ancestors of modern Palestinians) in competition with those in another tribe who worshipped Yah'weh (guess who!). It was actually believed that Ba'al-z'bhubh had the power to drive away flies, not to bring them. This was relevant when dealing with death and decay. They would pray to Ba'al-z'bhubh to keep the flies away.
The idea that Beelzebub as a fallen angel came from Milton in Dante's Inferno. A pretty modern interpretation considering the antiquity of Ba'al-z'bhubh.
There were many now considered "demons" with Ba'al in their name. Baal-berith was Covenant lord, god of the Shechemites. Baal-peor was the lord of opening, a god of Moab and Midian.
In Hebrew, satan means "adversary, one who plots against another," and in Greek it is Satanas, but in the Septuagint is usually "diabolos" and means " slanderer ," literally. Quite the coincidence that all the other tribal gods are now considered demons due to the negative PR campaign, aka "slander" by Judaism (and Christianity, if we're being honest).
And I can't speak at all to Khazarians, I just don't know about them, but I can say I am very confident about the origins of Ba'al.
And how do Catholics worship God? "Our Lord..."
Let me give you an example.
Let's assume that this candlestick is actually a model of the solar system.
The question arises: why did God decide to give people this particular model of the solar system and worship it?
Why, on top of that, did he depict a solar system with only 6 planets??
There are only two answers::
1. God DIDN'T KNOW there were 8 planets in the solar system!
2. PEOPLE MADE THIS GOD and put into his mouth what they knew then!
Which answer is correct? ;-)))))
As for Catholics, depends on which Catholics you mean? Do you mean Russian Orthodox Catholics, Roman Catholics, American Catholics, or Hispanic Catholics, because even though the latter 2 are not official groups, they all worship different ways. Americans are mostly Roman Catholics but most have no clue what the Vatican believes on any given matter. Hispanics are also Roman Catholics but venerate Mary above Christ most of the time.
The Lord's Prayer begins: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Whether someone says "Dear Lord" or "Dear God" is a matter of personal preference. And sometimes it's "Lord God Almighty." Otherwise, I haven't been to enough services in recent years to tell you when Lord is used as opposed to something else. But like I said, it's just a title.
~
In other words you have put much bias in your premise, and "God" - if there is such a thing - I prefer "Creator" - gives not a whit about premise, and I think in a way the premise was self-fulfilling.
With that said I support Poland!
Ken
ps - no edits will I make to this....let it stand on merit I reckon...and if there are typos they will remain...
As I wrote, in every religion except Hindu religions, no god is mentioned by name... the terms "Lord" or "God" are used.
How many Catholic songs do you know where it is said “Our Jahve...”???
Because I know ZERO.
Anyway, the name is kind of vague anyway. Sometimes Yahve, sometimes Jehovah and sometimes YHWH.
Either you know what I mean or you don't :-)))
This question seems to have some "supposition" to it.
The construction of the menorah and its appearance was apparently passed down?
and I don't understand this either?
I don't think there are only 6 planets.
I know there are not 6 planets, the question is why then, it has been communicated this way.Why didn't God say: "Make a menorah with 8 branches"? :-))
If not 6, nor 8, then how bout 10?
~
I hope you know - I am an advocate of "Pluto" - long time proven - check the record.
And "Pluto" thinks it is a planet, but it knows - there are more of em - and miracles - "there a dime a dozen"....
But, rumor I heard - Pluto supports Poland....
so do I.
My opinion is basically - NO.
So - some logic riddles ain't worth the salt nor the dead babies in Gaza - on the shores...and sometimes well
I think Poland ought get its shit together and the affiliation with NATO has not delivered recompense has it?
When you go from polytheism to monotheism, you have to do something with all the gods who are abandoned, and the monotheist religions turned them into angels and demons.
Think on this. The Mediterranean Sea, it translates to roughly middle earth sea. It used to be called the Wendel Sea or Vandaul Sea. The names changes. Those people, like those who were called barbaroi (literally, all those who are not Greek), their names became the pejoratives "vandal" and "barbarian." We quite literally "demonize" old traditions to stop people using those old traditions.
Perhaps it had some additional term, perhaps it was hidden.This is not known
The problem is that this conversation becomes sterile because I don't know what you're getting at... considering the original topic of the conversation:-)))
Greetings :-)
Baal has a plural form, Baalim. If a word has a plural, there is more than one.
I'm giving you the background that can probably fill in the origins of the mythology you are trying to explain. I even demonstrated how the move from polytheism to monotheism created the idea that Baal was a demon. There may have been a Baal "that must be fed with the blood of little children and their hearts," but there is no the Baal. The distinction is important, the context is important. When we repeat stories from the past, they get changed, and I'm explaining to you how the term "ba'al" went from a common title in a polytheistic culture to a demon in a monotheistic culture.
Even if you look at the entry for Baal on the Britannica site and see that it refers to "Baal" as a god but then contradicts itself throughout the article explaining there were many "baalim." The whole article is trying to say all the different groups who worshipped a "baal" were worshiping the same thing despite different documented attributes. But this was at the peak of polytheism, so not only were they not worshiping the same "baal" but they knew they were worshiping different baalim.
I mean, you're talking about Hebrew concepts and history but ignoring the Hebrew meaning of the words. "Ba'al" is not "satan" because "satan" is itself an adjective, just like "ba'al" is an honorific. They mean "slanderer" and "lord" respectively. So you can use them to describe a person or entity, like "Ba'al Satan Helel Ben-shachar" which literally translates to Lord Slanderer Venus, Son of the Morning . Satan and Ba'al are not the name of the deceiver in the Hebrew bible. Just like Yahweh and Jehovah are not the actual name of the one true God.
Look, we talk a lot about propaganda and disinfo and counterintelligence on this site. That has been going on for millennia . The story you tell that names Baal as a demon to which children are fed is propaganda
Justify it :-)
Playing with the semantics of the name and the fact that there could be many of them does not justify the claim that it is just propaganda.
Santa Claus existed...[Link]
I have believed many things in my life for a long time because I heard them from adults when I was a child. And the older I get, the more foolish I feel when I examine where I learned those things and what the truth is, which were often ignorance passed on by adults.
Are modern Ukrainians descendants of Khazarians? It seems very likely. Khazarians were Turkik people and the maps show it existed where modern day Ukraine is. That's about all I know about them.
A lot of noise is made about the Ashkenazi, but in my mind, the Ashkenazi are those who mixed with Jews who were chased out of the middle east (the diaspora). I allegedly have a small percentage of this blood, which means about as much to me as the little amount of Russian blood I have in my ancestry. (Too little to matter, and those were not the traditions my ancestors chose to pass on.) Anyway, the Ashkenazi are the ones who were handed Israel by Europe. These were never really religious Jews compared to the orthodox. Israel is a strictly European colony experiment which is failing. This is why Europe and America defend Israel like no one else. Israel is their convenient hub of war and greed.
The only issue I take is with the insistence that Baal is some ancient god worshiped by satanists. This is the propaganda. Baal is the title given to many gods of many varied descriptions.
I can accept that the Ashkenazi and Khazarians and their descendants are "troublemakers" to put it mildly, and that they are more concerned with bloodlines and racial supremacy than other groups.
But then I might ask why Europe and America, as backers of Khazarian descendants, let most of Ukraine, and thus the modern Khazarians descendants, be massacred in a preventable conflict?
As for Satanists or demon-worship more generally I will say this: There are those who study and practice the esoteric which are dangerous, and there are those that study and practice the esoteric who are our allies. But the vast majority of people, including those who claim they practice the occult and esoteric, are part of the exoteric circle and know next to nothing about that which they speak of. I personally know enough to know that I cannot practice the esoteric as I am. My mind is far too divided, and thus diving deeper while I struggle with what I struggle would make me a danger to myself and others. But all those who seek power through the occult are doing it wrong. They are STS beings, even if they think they are going to produce "love and light." Seek knowledge , follow God's will for you , and that knowledge will protect you, and God's will will guide you, and the example you set will save others.
Tell it to the birds.
I have some life experience with this.
You see, mixed races have it the hardest.
Many people encourage everyone to mix human races, but this is not good.
It seems that such people's blood boils. One blood fights another blood.
Such a person, if he does not have the strength to control it, will feel throughout his life... how to say... divided, not uniform.
It's terribly bothersome.
..but it will pass when you choose.
What a legend.
It’s the schoolboy in me
a menorah killer he must be -
if not a safety fanatic!
Safety fanatics get on my nerves....
anti-hanukkah is subject to debate and menorah killers ought be ashamed...
just like zigaboos are known killers and they are proving it for the whole world to witness..
what matters most is what comes next,
but I appreciate a man puts out fires - most of the time and
eff the zigaboos indignant false victims they makes themselves out to be when we all KNOW
tis the opposite.
I mean why is the symbol presented there in the Polish legislature in the first place?
He replied that he was just trying to restore normality.He stated that the menorah, as well as the Talmud, are Satanic symbols... and then he invited everyone to a theological conversation about these symbols.
Finally, he added that these symbols are displayed without awareness of their meaning.
I've got a good life-long friend - his mom was Polish - he and I were both from Buffalo - I respect Poland - but not the current "leadership" seems to be subsumed....so this is when it is important for somebody with courage - and I watched the video - he had no fear in his action and he knew the consequence - but he did what he felt must be done - for the sake of safety I reckon.
Respectfully,
BK
The consequences are that for 3 months he will receive only half a salary, and for 6 months he will not receive parliamentary allowances... that's all we know for now
Festivals were celebrated in honor of Swarog, the sun god.
But in fact, sphastika was a very common sign in Poland before World War II. It meant happiness and prosperity. Embroidered by women on shirts. The harvest festival, i.e. the end of the harvest, was often decorated with a swastika.
It was only Nazi Germany that changed the meaning of this symbol.
The Head of the Chancellery of the Sejm, Jacek Cichocki, sent a notification to the prosecutor's office about a suspected crime committed by MP Grzegorz Braun. This is the result of a scandal caused by a Confederate politician who used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the Hanukkah menorah standing in the parliamentary corridor. The accusations against Braun include: acts that "may be qualified as a crime against the freedom of conscience and religion." The Head of the Chancellery of the Sejm submitted a report to the prosecutor's office against MP Grzegorz Braun. The Chancellery of the Sejm announced on Tuesday evening that a complaint had been sent to the prosecutor's office against MP Grzegorz Braun. The letter was sent by the head of the law firm, Jacek Cichocki. Earlier, the Confederation politician was removed from the Sejm sessions, and the presidium of the chamber also decided to deprive him of half of his salary for three months and his entire allowance for six months.
