A video of a young boy ripping an
American flag out of someone's yard and then flinging it to the ground as his mother watches has ignited a firestorm of strong reactions on the internet.
Writer Marie Oakes shared the controversial video on Twitter with the caption: "Children are being raised to desecrate the flag." The purported security camera footage shows a child riding on a scooter along with an adult female, likely to be his mother. While traveling down the sidewalk on his scooter, the boy attempts to rip up a small American flag standing in a yard. He misses on the first attempt to uproot the flag, but comes back to tear up the flag. He then throws the flag onto the ground.
"He and the woman then resume riding down the street,"
Fox News reported.
"It appears the woman gives no pushback on the boy for pulling the flag."
The video was posted on Friday and already has more than 2 million views, plus thousands of reactions — including people who were outraged over the boy's behavior, as well as how the mother allows the child to mishandle someone's private property, especially an American flag.Someone
exclaimed, "This is sickening. What a horrible mother."
A commenter
added, "Breaks my cold little heart to see such a young child doing this.... what is going on in that home if the mother can egg it on."
One person
tweeted, "A nation will not survive when society teaches its children to hate it."
One commenter
wrote, "Honest question: How can a country succeed if their citizens are being raised to hate it?"
A Twitter user
said, "My heart broke watching this. Lord help us all."
One person
wrote, "Train up your child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it -Proverbs 22:6."
However, there seemed to be as many comments praising the mother and son for their actions toward the American flag.Someone
said, "The kid rocks."
A commenter
added, "fantastic parenting."
A man
stated, "best mom i've ever seen."
Someone
wrote, "The proper way to raise your child."
A Twitter user
praised, "Way to go, Mom. Exemplary parenting skills."
Another person
said, "That kid is going places. You love to see it."
One person
replied, "I love how his mom just let him do what he had to do."
One woman
proclaimed, "if my kid doesn't desecrate at least 5 flags by the time they are 10 i will disown them."
The divisive viral video comes on the heels of a Black Lives Matter chapter declaring that the American flag is a "
symbol of hatred" and only flown by racists.
College students recently gave their opinions on the American flag and said that Old Glory represents "genocide," "extremism," "injustice," and "sins we've committed against others."
Grammy award-winning singer Macy Gray said the American flag represents the same values as the Confederate flag, and needs to be revamped.
On Independence Day, the New York Times published an article that claimed the United States flag is divisive.

If you want to change the world, try dialogue rather than destruction of private property. Aren't they cycling within their community? This represents a breakdown of community above all else.
God I detest those things; they're effectively high density, grounded condominiums of duplexes and zero lot line hell holes, where trees are forbidden.

Whoever put the flag up needs to take out their brain and dance on it, in hopes of loosening it up a bit. IMVSO.
As re HOA's and their evil, I've gotta add one particular sad story (of hundreds of thousands in Florida alone)
Until around 10 years ago, on the east bank of the Little Econlockhatchee River, and N. of SR50 was a forest of giant oaks and beautiful shade. The bastards put in ZLL 'housing', killed thousands of acres of oaks and left two survivor oaks - THAT's it! They did stick potted palms on some streets. Here's a view of what it looks like now: [Link]

This song is what Trent Reznor sees of consumerist culture, nothing more than a bunch of pigs waiting to be fed slop. I've also read that this was specifically about the MSM all the way back in the early 90s which as far as I am concerned is an equally valid interpretation. It also describes the type of people who want to be on HOA boards.

If I can get away with it like at night without witnesses and not being visible to the cameras I'll wreck flu shot signs too.

I drink Belgian beer "Trappistes Rochefort 10" which is brewed in Belgium by the monks (they really have the best beers), spring water, herbs and special yeast, bioorganic 11.3 alc. percentage (33 cl. bottle). This beer (because of the herbs and yeast have a high vitamine B content (B12, B:1, B6) in fact this beer has as much nutrition as two sandwiches of rye bread.
In the Middle Ages sometimes there were times of food scarcity. Also they brewed brewed beer because the water was not drinkable (the poor threw their deceased into the canals and rivers because they could not afford a funeral) hence the high alcohol percentage (antisepctic). I drink 2 beers a day.
Nowadays, certainly in the US there is a problem with drinkable water (Great Lakes polluted), I smoke Kush now (hash) because I do not trust the Marijuana. Like Thai Buddha (which was dipped in opium) they now have marijuana dipped with some really bad shit, like fentanyl or heroine on the market , I saw that kind of marijuana (with white crystal like powder} it is bad news. 10 people died from that kind of marijuana in Colorado. The New York Police call it "Spice". The heroine junkies can handle that stuff to smoke, however the incidental recreational "pott head" cant, they die.
Did you know that the Hashashins were the "hired killers" of the Sheiks and Sultans in the Middle East. Before they well "did their job" (like Navy Seal Operation 6) they would smoke some hash which made them more focused. Hence the word "assassin" is derived from the hashashin" (sounds the same does it not?).
So Chester, I am happy that I find a kindred soul in this trial and tribulations world.
When I was a girl scout (I grew up in Japan) I would visit the "purple hearts" (the wounded Anerican soldiers from Vietnam in Yokosuka, Japan) and bring cookies.
So Chester as Nurse Wretched (yes I am a nurse and a trauma therapist, specialty: PTSD, MPS , hell I will even treat A Blackwater Soldier of Fortune) If I can do that I will have a hell of an Army against the shit (the 144000 who want to be the New World Order)
My advice is
Drink Belgian beer (nutritious and hydrating); by the way the Belgian soccer team are called the "Red Devils"
Do not drink tap water.
Do not eat meat (did you know that Burger King and McDonals use elephant meat for their hamburgers; do you really think that the Long horns from Texas provide all the meat), no they have elephant meat farms in Thailand which they call "Reservations"
If needed only chicken, or fish, eggs for proteins (bioorganic), fine
Eat only one meal a day (preferably when the sun is down, that is when your digestive is at its best because you do not have to do strenuous exercises
Only Smoke Hash (cigarettes fine to)
Love Frida
and his mother, yes, ought to be caned
uhhhh ... i will volunteer to do the caning if no one else offers.
Yes, I have heard the "hash-hassein" story. Hard to imagine anyone laid back on hash would want to go out and kill--especially if there's a Hendrix CD and a Japanese horror movie available, but I guess that's history.
I am like you. I don't drink tap water either. I live in a town with a corrupt city hall and would never drink water produced by workers they control. I buy water in the stores.
We do seem to be on the same wavelength. I avoid meat, except for turkey, of which I sometimes use with a little mustard in a sandwich. I only eat one meal a day too, "lunch." I try to always get a hot lunch, but will go for a sandwich and/or a good salad if that isn't available. I like fish and shrimp, so will often try to wing it on those dishes. I am slightly different in that I don't like to eat anything late in the day. Having gotten a bit of mileage on me, I have backed off of weed, and it has gotten pricey. In the past, I would never buy the high-end stuff--except in Netherlands, as mentioned, where the cost was reasonable. I don't like the elaborate "stories" some of these geeks tell to up the price--"This was grown on the south side of Mount Everest--$750 please." Tex-Mex or red dirt stuff works for me. I like a jolt of Irish whiskey when "dat eb'nin' sun go down," but will also grab a blend if Irish is not available. Thanks for the good words and all the best!
God bless stoners - they're too mellow to surf.

My neighbor had his trump signs ripped down
He put fish hooks upside down in the corrugated plastic and glued them in place, hooks barely showing, and tied some 100 lb test line to it.
The sign only got messed with one last time. I wish i had THAT one on video.

Reminds me, I have known someone who did I think seven years for stabbing someone who broke into his place to rob it (I think the guy survived). He said the guy ran at him with a knife and he had ornamental swords on the wall right beside him so he grabbed one and used it in self defense. How fair huh!
because she's a stupid parent ?
what's that called again ... cancel culture ?
i understand your frustration, and intend no disrespect to you & your comment; only illuminating the irony.
catalyst will pay a visit to that boy's mom; that's what nature does - it's called "lessons" and every one of us has and will experience lessons because we're here to learn.
