The Vatican's announcement, through its Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was an official response to the question on the blessing of same-sex unions.
"The blessing of homosexual unions cannot be considered licit," according to the statement, obtained by USA Today.
The statement also reads: "There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God's plan for marriage and family."
The Vatican's stance became unclear when in an interview released this summer with Pope Francis the Roman Catholic Church leader endorsement of same-sex civil unions.
Monday's Vatican statement also says God "never ceases" to bless all people, including people who are gay.
"But he does not and cannot bless sin," the statement reads. "He blesses sinful man, so that he may recognize that he is part of his plan of love and allow himself to be changed by him.. ... The Church does not have, and cannot have, the power to bless unions of persons of the same sex."

Just before he stepped out of the door, the altar boy replied: "After while, pedophile!"
By and large he's been one of the very, very first 'canceled' in a fashion that's becoming ever more common and yet even when dealing with cases that he supposedly 'should' jump all over the target in the article, he consistently refuses to attempt to 'cancel' others. That's RARE! E.g., In this article, [Link] he instead ends with this:
The media of course covers it up. We have to imagine that law enforcement also actively covers it up, and this judge was just getting too crazy with it. Note: This whole “child pornography on the internet” thing is real, but we should note whenever we talk about this topic that it can also be staged and faked, and it would be a really easy way to frame someone. I remember more than ten years ago Alex Jones got stopped on the Canadian border because he had porn on his laptop, and they said they were checking to make sure it wasn’t child porn. He was like “we’re talking mainline porn here, fo lks.” It should also be noted that Bill White, a neo-Nazi, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for supposed “threatening emails” which he maintained he never sent. He was a bit kooky, so no one believed him, but he said he never sent the emails. Any situation where you have a crime where the evidence is 100% digital is going to be abused in the future.(And I bet, if he reviewed that last sentence he would change it to 'going to continue to be abused in the future.' We all change and I'm not the same exact person I was in 2017, are you?)

I'd say wiser, some would disagree haha.
God’s plan did not say you could only marry the opposite sex; that is man’s interpretation, and just as convoluted as the denial of marriage for priests.
Plus God does not discriminate; He would not deny same sex relationships the same joys that are available to heterosexuals. Just my beliefs.
One day one of the younger monks, Brother Bob, approached the abbot with an idea: Now that the science of document restoration and digital imagery had come so far it should be possible to copy from the original texts instead of working from the previous copies.
The abbot was reluctant to change. But as a few small errors had occurred over the years & had been subsequently & dutifully copied it seemed that using the original documents could be beneficial.
The abbot granted Brother Bob's request and instructed him to set up a new "media center" so the work could begin.
A few days later the abbot stopped by to check on Brother Bob, only to find him crying uncontrollably, curled up in a ball on the floor.
"What on earth is the matter?" asked the abbot.
Between sobs Brother Bob replied: "The first monk's copy had a typo. It was supposed to say "celebrate" and not "celibate."
Of course you'll only get really strange guys signing up for that....and hence....
Plus God does not discriminate; He would not deny same sex relationships the same joys that are available to heterosexuals. Just my beliefs.
I am curious as to how you came to your conclusions?
If you believe in the God of the Bible and believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God written through the prophets, it does mention a few times that homosexuality is a sin and homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
You are correct to say that God does want to bless and does bless the just and the unjust alike on earth, but in the end you must repent of all sins in order to go to heaven.
The church's God is the vengeful Yahweh of the Hebrews - I don't think God, the father of Jesus was meant to be the same entity
sodomy (n.) c. 1300, "unnatural sexual relations," such as those imputed to the inhabitants of Biblical Sodom, especially between persons of the same sex but also with beasts, from Old French sodomie, from Late Latin peccatum Sodomiticum "anal sex," literally "the sin of Sodom," from Latin Sodoma.
Rabbi Basil Herring, who served as head of the Rabbinical Council of America from 2003 to 2012, writes that both the Rabbinic tradition and modern orthodox position consider the Torah to condemn homosexuality as an abomination. Moreover, that it "conveys its abhorrence of homosexuality through a variety of narrative settings", God's judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah being a "paradigmatic" instance of such condemnation
@Ah.....merica
If you believe in the God of the Bible and believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God written through the prophets, ...The latter part of that statement is an admission that the bible is the creation of man, not god.
And the first part correctly states that the bible's divine origin is a matter of faith, not knowledge.
Logos is a book that will never be written
I do believe that God wants to have a relationship with us directly - not through any other party, not even JC. Everything I want to know I can learn directly from God.

People from India are considered to be Asian. The U.S. Census Bureau considers people from the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the Far East to be Asian
Prior to 1970, the U.S. Census Bureau categorized people from India as "Other." The 1970 census classified them as "White." In 1980, however, the Census Bureau began to define people from the Indian subcontinent as "Asian." After people of Chinese heritage, people of Indian heritage comprise the largest group of Asian immigrants in the United States

Nothing of the above comments which have been said can apply, even with the most distant disrespect, to the real character of Jesus Christ. He was a virtuous and an amiable man. The morality that he preached and practiced was of the most benevolent kind; and though similar systems of morality had been preached by Confucius, and by some of the Greek philosophers, many years before, by the Quakers since, and by many good men in all ages, it has not been exceeded by any.
Jesus Christ wrote no account of himself, of his birth, parentage, or anything else. Not a line of what is called the New Testament is of his writing. The history of him is altogether the work of other people; and as to the account given of his resurrection and ascension, it was the necessary counterpart to the story of his birth. His historians, having brought him into the world in a supernatural manner, were obliged to take him out again in the same manner, or the first part of the story must have fallen to the ground.
The wretched contrivance with which this latter part is told, exceeds everything that went before it. The first part, that of the miraculous conception, was not a thing that admitted of publicity; and therefore the tellers of this part of the story had this advantage, that though they might not be credited, they could not be detected. They could not be expected to prove it, because it was not one of those things that admitted of proof, and it was impossible that the person of whom it was told could prove it himself.
But the resurrection of a dead person from the grave, and his ascension through the air, is a thing very different, as to the evidence it admits of, to the invisible conception of a child in the womb. The resurrection and ascension, supposing them to have taken place, admitted of public and ocular demonstration, like that of the ascension of a balloon, or the sun at noon day, to all Jerusalem at least. A thing which everybody is required to believe, requires that the proof and evidence of it should be equal to all, and universal; and as the public visibility of this last related act was the only evidence that could give sanction to the former part, the whole of it falls to the ground, because that evidence never was given. Instead of this, a small number of persons, not more than eight or nine, are introduced as proxies for the whole world, to say they saw it, and all the rest of the world are called upon to believe it. But it appears that Thomas did not believe the resurrection; and, as they say, would not believe without having ocular and manual demonstration himself. So neither will I; and the reason is equally as good for me, and for every other person, as for Thomas.

we strayed from the founders from day one.Ever dug into any of the Dead Sea scrolls stuff?
As it is with anything "ancient" there's a lot of "noise in the signal" and it's difficult to say, with any level of certainty, what's true/false, authentic/forged, etc.
Nevertheless most of the Gnostic/Essene stuff describes a "religion" which is quite different than what we call "Christianity" today.
In particular the changes during the couple centuries between "Romans persecuting Christians" and "Christianity becoming THE Roman religion" are worth looking into.
Rowan Cocoan we strayed from the founders from day one.I'm seeing more evidence that it was planned that way? Work in progress but making sense.
Nevertheless most of the Gnostic/Essene stuff describes a "religion" which is quite different than what we call "Christianity" today.I would love a good source for more of the Gnostic writings that haven't been compromised, I believe most of their work has been destroyed or re-written by the current evil out of their fear of the truth. The Gnostic's warned us of the current evil we are witnessing today and would like to learn more.
Yep. I've been aware of that issue (such as the role of Ben Franklin) for ~12 years - I think it was Dave McGowan's writings; also, a book you might have heard me speak of before: Rule By Secrecy by Jim Marrs(RIP). Check it out.

Shalman: As re the DSS, as I recall, money grubbing 'archaeologists' et al. (now they're mostly grant grubbing) were completely deep into that and I would expect the PTB to have been there damn near with the shepherd boys of legend. I find it interesting because I've only even learned what everyone else considers the absolute basics of Christianity since I first read a combat bible I found on 2001's winter solstice. I generally keep at the 'informed' level on most of this stuff because I don't see where it will improve lives of self and others, as I can't imagine it causing me to change my course.

Read "Jung and the Lost Gospels" at university years ago. [Link] It seemed like a reasonable starting point. Perhaps others have a better suggestion. (Maybe check with the person who has the 'Gnostic' handle? ;>)
It seems anything "historical" is a convoluted mess as even the most "striving to be objective" author can do naught but frame things from their own perspective. It only gets worse from there since, as you point out, there are plenty of individuals willing to outright distort/corrupt/forge history to further their own agenda. (And in between the extremes there is plenty of "sloppy" and "lazy" to be found.)
Might be better to look East, e.g. Bhakti Yoga
an Indian tradition of "divine love mysticism", a spiritual path "synonymous for an intimate understanding of oneness and harmony of the eternal individual with the Divine (the universal Being) and all creatures, a constant delight"The bible only refers to Jesus's life up to about 12 and then from 30+ - What was he doing in the missing 18 years, did he go to India, is the Sermon on Mount based on the Bhagavad Gita
I was trying to look up something about Jesus and Kandahar but the convenient war against terrorism has obliterated such information from search engines
Especially, the Sermon on the Mount… went straight to my heart. I compared it with the Gita. The verses, ‘but I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak too,’ delighted me beyond measure and put me in mind of Shamal Bhatt’s ‘for a bowl of water give a goodly meal’ etc. My young mind tried to unify the teaching of the Gita, the Light of Asia and the Sermon on the Mount. That renunciation was the highest form of religion appealed to me greatly.
God knew we would stray and whilst He does not ‘interfere’ His Laws are always in motion and let us know when we have sinned, always to lead us back to love.
God does not have to interfere because His Laws have total control and will always meter justice and compensation as it is due. There is no escape, no hiding.
But since satan is not mentioned before the 7-day creation, he must have been created by god himself. Thus he is under god's control. In conclusion, gods machinery. Not happy ?
So yeah the creator is responsible for creating the destroyer, just another cog in the creators machine.
But--c'mon maaaaan! There's no Adam, no Eve, no "fruit," no "sin," and, wait for it...no "god."So far I am with him. That's all a matter of faith, not facts.
All that was written by geeks scratching themselves, dressed in sackcloth and living in caves and hovels in ancient deserts. But that's an equally unproven assumption.

There are serious people suggesting Francis Bacon was the author of of the KJV. Ordered by John Dee (the Queen's original 007). The same crowd authored many "occult" several many modern pseudo-religions are based on (including New Agers). Which were actually coded espionage manuals.
I don't know of any original bible text scripture that is not either admittedly fake (e.g. Dead Sea scrolls) or a "late medieval copy". Not to forget, Fomenko and others pointed out that the Hebrew script is most probably a medieval invention, too.

Adam and Eve were the first man and woman
Cain and Abel are the first two sons of Adam and Eve - Seth was the 3rd son
Adam was 130 when he had Seth
He lived for another 800 years, having other sons and daughters
Cain killed Abel - Cain went East, to Nod, and met his wife
Seth was 105 when he became a father
It becomes a very messy story when you start digging into who exactly was there for Cain to meet and who was Seth's wife

Comment: If people don't like the Catholic Church's unsurprising position on gay union, the solution is pretty simple: find a system you prefer. The liberal perspective of forcing its ideology onto everything else is a far greater system of control than the Catholic Church. The Vatican has their own demons to contend with but that is between them and their followers.
