The loss by Hillary Clinton in the U.S. presidential elections, and the surprise win for Donald Trump, rather than exposing the Right's alleged underbelly of racism, bigotry, xenophobia and homophobia, has instead revealed something much more surprising, and potentially catastrophic for Western civilization as we know it: the cult of political correctness, obsession with identities, and a radical Left fringe that has ponerized inclusion and empathy to the point of authoritarianism. Whether it's on the domestic front of gender pronouns, safe spaces, and micro-aggressions, or on the foreign front of humanitarian intervention, human rights and the responsibility to protect, Western liberal values have lost all meaning.

On this edition of The Truth Perspective, we'll be discussing this trend, how it came about, and where it suggests we are headed.

First, I will say that I enjoyed hearing all of this podcast and it raised alot of new ideas in my mind.

I would consider myself a pretty semi-progressive liberal person because of my bias towards science and science related arguments.

I'm not a huge proponent for politically correct arguments because I do believe strongly in free speech, but also living un-offended by the words of others.

I've gotta say that, if you are in any way a socially liberal person/libertarian, you have to agree with the "conservatism" of allowing people of differing sexual orientations to marry/exist/practice what have you.

Doesnt seem like its infringing on their rights to not allow them to practce something? They arent hurting anyone other than themselves, if even that

But i see what you are saying. Although I think its not about policing the people who arent acclimating themselves. I think its more about making people realize that everyone is different and flawed and they you can either bash on them for it or support them and work around it.

you can call that special snowflake empathy, but i just call it being a spiritually enlightened person.

as long as they are not directly or closely-indirectly hurting someone or themselves in an identifyable way, who says they can practice what they do?

my quell is with the people that use their religious fundamentalism to vilify people that they simply dont like or understand. and yet the same people dont want to believe the scientific evidence behind climate change or darwinian evolution....

Get along to where and with whom? Lots of small snowflakes tend to end up in avalanches as do many a water particle and flotsam and jetsum end up in tsunamis. I guess it must be the same for people. They don't mean to, I'm sure. It's just natures way. People should be able to get out of stuff like that, rather than go along with it.
