
George Zimmerman came to notoriety in 2012 when, as a volunteer neighborhood watchman, he followed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. After a struggle, Zimmerman's gun went off killing Martin. Following a high-profile, racially-charged trial a Florida jury found Zimmerman not guilty.
