Comment: Out of the dozens if not hundreds of voyeurs, there wasn't one person who deemed this "incident" as an attack?
At one point, as they were allegedly touching her genitals, one of the young men was heard saying something to the effect of "she isn't going to know." Authorities said they believe the woman might have been drugged. Sheriff Frank McKeithen called the video the "most disgusting, sickening thing" he'd ever seen, likening the disturbing rape to "wild animals preying on a carcass in the woods."
"This is happening in broad daylight with hundreds of people seeing and hearing what is happening, and they are more concerned about spilling their beer than somebody being raped," McKeithen said. "This is such a traumatizing event for this girl. No one should have to fear this would happen in Panama City Beach, but it does."
According to McKeithen, the victim believed she was drugged and did not remember enough about the incident to report it.
I also infer that not one member of the crowd shouted, "C-mon -- let's stop this!'
Life is just a movie, and we're all just spectators. It's all just there for our entertainment, so let's all just enjoy the show.
Is this the new normal?
