This sentence is the one that is most telling: "He told police he knew the woman he attacked was ill, but not the specific disease." ..... there are no words.
"His attorney, Virginia Hayton said, "It is his own fault, if he had not committed this offense he would not have placed himself in this position." That ain't no attorney: That's a state-paid-puppet playing a role.
Folks: He's Evil. 99%+ Odds - (the best I'll give) But EVERYONE deserves an attorney who will NOT convict them before a court does. Even........him and even, yes, even..... YOU!
I, too, appreciate the irony, etc., but am disappointed to see SOTT-types jump on the obvious bandwagon of some evil loser finally getting something back onto him while missing the scary fact that we all - again, even him, and even me and you - deserve a lawyer who will do their best to defend against the claims which the 'state' has made - which are often falsely enhanced/exaggerated or flat out falsified- e.g., see the Boston police article elsewhere here today. Instead, wat this 'sell 'em down the river' attorney has done is to go out of her way to please the masses/the state/the Boston Gestapo for planting lies..
And what about, say..the truth that this scumbag has got nothing on what 'our' leaders just did with their false flag murder of thousands?!
Would you say THEY deserved anr attorney? *
Please describe WHO and HOW we should determine WHO gets an attorney and WHO gets two prosecutors?

*Hell, I'd even allow Dick Cheney one!

Yeah but this crime was committed in England. They don't have a bill or rights. They have a right to council, at their own expense of course. There are no free appointees under the crown.
To top that off, those statements were made post conviction.
I think your rant is a bit misguided.
Although this rapist has committed a heinous crime in our eyes, we must have human compassion in our hearts. I'm not suggesting turning the other cheek, or somehow apologizing for his crime; I'm simply stating that hate begets hate. As we watch culture annihilating culture, state pit against state, and people butchering one another, it would do us good to read this article, set our teeth and continue forward without pouring out hatred.
Although these may not be the "end times", humankind is ever-transitioning and ever-evolving. Let's take these steps gently. Let the other maniacs tear one another apart.
I feel a need to support your comments on this. quote:"I'm simply stating that hate begets hate. As we watch culture annihilating culture, state pit against state, and people butchering one another, it would do us good to read this article, set our teeth and continue forward without pouring out hatred."
This is so very important for all to consider even though it is very difficult to achieve. Many if not most of us can be so easily drawn into the emotional upheaval of a battle that we may consider worthy, but at what cost to ones own physical/psychic/emotional health and well being? If any of us are to be of any worth to ourselves and those around us in times of great stress and upheaval we must practice not becoming emotionally entangled in the tragedy of the moment on a daily basis. these things are going to happen and the frequency is accelerating.
This rapist has committed a heinous crime. Period. He raped a sick woman knowing that she would not put any resistance to him because of her condition, and most likely, he knew beforehand that she was talking sleeping pills. Praying on the most vulnerable is completely psychopathic. I don't feel hate towards him. I have a feeling of outmost disgust. And I don't any compassion for him in my heart. But I do feel a lot of compassion for his victim.
These deviants, who only pursue their own urges to con, rape, brutalize and kill, don't tear each other apart, they con, rape, brutalize and kill normal human beings. This rapist is a "low level" example. If someone opens their eyes, he/she can see the exact same thing happening on a global scale with millions of victim as a result. Self-calming attitude isn't the answer, osit.
And talking about his attorney, implying that she is somehow wrong for the job, because she's a human and has human feelings, only shows how ponerized our 'culture' has become, osit.
Who Gets Attorney OR 2 Prosecutors? No Answer yet.
As I said:
"Please describe WHO and HOW we should determine WHO gets an attorney and WHO gets two prosecutors?"
This is a reality question. The rest is academics and semantics. (The only response to it noted that in UK there is no right to counsel. I dare say that most would agree that the (former) American system was - at least aspirationally - better.)
Here is where the rubber hits the road:
How many people do you know who personally fell into the below categories:
(a) raped by a burglar;
and/or,
(b) framed/set up/lied about by a cop?
(some we've met will fall in both categories.)
I would honestly answer:
a: None.
b. Over 100? No... Over 400,,,maybe more...
Go ahead. Be honest with yourself and answer the question. I did.
So, which is more likely to happen to you or those you love? Do you believe that THEY deserve an attorney?
HOW are THEY different than the article's scumbag?
How do I - or anyone else know that?
R.C.
The rapist confessed to the crime. This is not a case of "innocent until proven guilty". He admitted he was guilty. His barrister has a right to her own opinion as well. Her job is to make sure to get him the lightest sentence she can under the law. That's it. No mollycoddling bullshit for the offender. In the US we tend to protect the perp and blame the victim. Thank you Britain for not doing that in this case.
I think the asshole should receive a Darwin award, myself.
