What is truth anyway? The truth is the essence of something, its natural state, something as it really is. It is really a quest for love, because to truly love something we must know it for what it really is. Perhaps we can sense in an unconscious way that there is a deeper truth to everything and everyone, and we are led to search for the truth about it, so that we can truly love it for what it really is.

If this drug is over-prescribed and sold to people who do not really need it then yes, other strategies should be employed, but some people need this medication to breathe normally and avoid repeated flair ups that require hospital treatment--I know I am one of them. After nearly forty years of trying to control my asthma with a variety of equally dangerous drugs and other ineffective treatments, Advair is the one medication that has allowed me to lead a normal life, feel good, and avoid harmful asthma attacks that cause scarring in the lungs leading to deterioration of lung function. I have no discernible side-effects, take the lowest dose, and have been taking it for about ten years. While I am open to continue to investigate the causes of my asthma and eliminating them if possible (an as of yet undetected allergy or something) until that is possible, I want to have the choice to continue this medication. Big pharmaceutical companies are awash in evil practices that often cause great harm which should be challenged and changed, but some of their products, used in the right circumstances, are literally life-saving and should remain available to those who need them. The cost of this drug is obscene, $400-500 dollars a month and I have no doubt they raking in huge profits from it, but if you have ever been suffocating and close to death from the lack of air, you too will likely feel a good deep breath of air is priceless. It is the primary element we need to sustain life in these human bodies--try going without air for five minutes.
