Red Fire Ball Hovers & Then Bolts Out of Sight

Description: I walked passed my balcony doors to see what looked like a big red fire ball hovering in the sky over Grand Rapids near the Ford Airport. I grabbed my digital camera and it's battery which was charging as I put the battery in my camera the object turned slightly side ways and then bolted out of sight. It moved so fast I didn't have time to snap one darn picture.

Date of Sighting: 10 August 2009
Time: 2320

Witness Statement: Whilst driving my truck northbound on the M6 motorway in Cumbria, between junction 38 and 39 (Shap) at 2320 on Monday 10th August 2009, I had the feeling I was being watched and looked to my right, to see what I thought was a very low flying passenger jet flying about 60 to 70 foot above the southbound carriageway. It was flying quite slow. I realised it couldn't be a jet due to speed and location. After about 10 seconds I realised it was a large triangle shaped object with white (non flashing ) lights on each corner and a red light in the middle.

Time: 21.30 approx..

Witness Statement: My husband was in the garden talking on the phone when he shouted me to come outside..he pointed to the sky and passing slowly above were at least a dozen extremely bright , vivid orange 'lights'.. they were a uniform circular shape and moving in formation, in the shape of what I can only describe as an Allen Key shape, perfectly straight lines and equidistant, except the final one, which was a little more distant to the penultimate one, but still in line with the other. There was no noise and no wind, the air was still...they were traveling South to North direction. One of them appeared to 'discard' a semi-transparent circular covering, which then just disappeared, yet the bright orange light was still just as vivid with no change to it whatsover.

Witness Statement: I was driving up Ripponden Road last night, when we approached the Highfield three large orange globes came down from the clouds, I said to my daughter to take a picture on her phone but she was panicking,. At first I thought they could be helicopters but there was no noise and as we approached they shot upright into the sky and were out of sight within seconds. I know lots of people must have seen this as the road was quite busy.

Witness Statement: 2 bright yellow objects almost in a diamond shape came from an easterly direction heading west at fast speed with no engine sound. 1 object seemed to take evasive maneuvers to its left then came back to the 2nd object at high speed and resumed flight around it. Conventional aircraft couldn't do this in daylight or at this speed. Both aircraft disappeared towards the west in less that 2 mins from first sight to losing sight.

Strange flashing lights spotted in the sky during a power cut have prompted a spate of UFO sightings.

The Herald has received several calls from residents who claim to have seen glowing "boomerang" and "cigar shaped" objects floating in the sky over Talysarn during the early hours of Monday morning.

The sightings occurred during a power cut which plunged the village and the surrounding area into total darkness for an hour.

One caller, who did not want to be named, said: "I sleep very badly and was on my way to the bathroom when I opened the curtains and saw this blinding emerald green light. The whole village was pitch black so it obviously stood out. Also, one of the lights coming from it had a strobe type effect."

US: Large rectangular-shaped UFO witnessed over Troy, Montana

Two security officers standing along Spokane Avenue in Troy, Montana, watched a silent rectangular-shaped UFO crossing the sky on August 10, 2009, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The object was described as "a large/huge rectangle shaped object (reminded me of a gigantic gum eraser) with 1-2 constant white lights towards the front & one rotating/blinking(not sure which)red light towards the rear."

Total observation time was 5 to 10 minutes before the object disappeared over a mountain range.

Troy is a city in Lincoln County, northwest Montana, population 957.

Colorado, August 19, 2009 - Triangular Craft seen over Huerfano County CO 8.19.09 at app. 2130 HRS. MUFON Case # 18792.

A Colorado witness near I-25 on the far eastern end of Walsenburg noticed a "strange craft" flying east at about 30,000 feet. The witness estimates the object was larger than a jumbo jet and was not "FAA" legal with respect to lighting. The witness then called a friend outside and they both watched the object, described as having a "bubble" shaped nose that was "seemingly lit from within" Additionally, "one bright nav light was starboard and aft of that bubble... and the other white lights were at the rear of an isosceles triangle. Only one other lamp, a red flashing belly strobe light, could be seen." The object was guessed to be moving at about 500 mph and flew out of sight. The sighting was between 3 and 5 minutes long.

Comment: Maybe this is the explanation for the centipede clouds?

There are very few stories about strange objects in the skies these days. Fabio Zerpa's lost his ratings. But fans say that UFOs are busier than ever. They complain at the media's laughter, and collect signatures seeking to declassify the files on the phenomenon that - they solemnly swear - the Government is concealing...

Even when they aren't always visible, they're always there. And what's more, in recent years their sightings have grown in frequency and quantity, to the point that patterns are being defined. This is what Argentinean UFO experts claim, and when asked by Pagina 12, they can do no less than reject what they are told. "Of course there are [sightings] and more of them. The problem is that the media treats this as a joke," retorts Silvia Perez Simondini, the researcher whose efforts have resulted in the country's only UFO Museum.

Mr. Mario Castaneda Marquez sends us an image taken in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata in the Mexican state of Morelos.

The photo shows an elongated, three-colored object that went unnoticed by the photographer when he pressed the shutter.
