Witness Statement: Whilst driving my truck northbound on the M6 motorway in Cumbria, between junction 38 and 39 (Shap) at 2320 on Monday 10th August 2009, I had the feeling I was being watched and looked to my right, to see what I thought was a very low flying passenger jet flying about 60 to 70 foot above the southbound carriageway. It was flying quite slow. I realised it couldn't be a jet due to speed and location. After about 10 seconds I realised it was a large triangle shaped object with white (non flashing ) lights on each corner and a red light in the middle.

It flew alongside me for about 90 seconds before gradually accelerating over the carriageway in front of me (approx NW) toward the cement works . The whole sighting lasted well over 2 minutes. It is the second sighting I have had of this object in just over a year. The first was near Okehampton, on Dartmoor last August..In both sightings the object could not be heard to emit any noise.
