US: Lights over Illinois seem to play game of hide 'n seek

Two Illinois witnesses watched multiple spherical objects darting around in the night sky on August 4, 2010, that seemed to disappear when planes flew by, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The event occurred at 10:45 p.m. in the northern end of the state.

"We continued to watch until a plane came through almost in the direction of the objects," the reporting witness stated.

"As soon as the plane got close, the objects disappeared. Once the plane passed through the area, they showed up again. This happened twice. And again after the second plane passed, they returned again soon after. Almost like they were hiding."

US: Bucks County PA police officer reports star-like UFO

A Bucks County Pennsylvania police officer stepped out of his patrol car August 6, 2010, at 5 a.m. after an "extremely bright light" in the sky caught his attention, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The officer, who prefers to remain anonymous due to his position, reports watching the stationary light for 30 seconds before anything happened.

"The light then dimmed and began to travel south at a high rate of speed and disappeared (or my eyes couldn't focus on the dim light anymore)," the officer stated.

When the object was first spotted, it appeared brighter than any other star or planet in the sky, the witness stated, "like a helicopter spot light."

The entire event last between "30-45 seconds under mostly clear skies."

Speculating, the officer wondered if it might have been a satellite.

US: Multiple UFOs typical of many U.S. reports

One Arkansas witness is typical of some U.S. UFO reports where if you spot something anomalous in the sky - get ready - there may be multiple objects in the area, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

While most UFO reports describe a single object and a short duration, there are increasing reports across the country of multiple UFOs moving together and remaining in the sky for longer viewing durations.

While statistical data should back up that statement, the observation here is a casual one after covering hundreds of UFO reports daily since January 2009 - most of these from the MUFON database.

The witness in this case is typical of the average UFO observer where the viewing is not planned - but the witness happens upon the object in their daily routine. In this case, the witness was simply outside doing yard work.

US: Triangle UFO under 500 feet at Farmington, New Mexico

Three men talking outside a Farmington, New Mexico, gas station were "creeped out" after a triangle-shaped UFO came toward them at less than 500 feet off of the ground on July 31, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The object then appeared to split into two objects, climbed to about 10,000 feet where it hovered for 10 minutes, and then disappeared into a "dark, grey storm cloud."

The only photo they snapped while watching the object produced only a gray screen.

Farmington is a city in San Juan County, population 43,573.

US: Two California MUFON reports track same object

Two different reports from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database describe the same object spotted in California skies on July 31, 2010, according to testimony from the MUFON witness reporting database.

The first witness in MUFON Case # 24883 first thought the object was an approaching satellite, but the dim white color began "increasing in size and intensity." The object was self illuminated as "an unusual shade of light green around the edge and brilliant white in the center."

The object then went dark, but quickly returned to full intensity again.

While watching this object, the witness also "noticed a small, white object shooting off to the west at a slight downward angle." Sitting just below the first object, this second object had a slight tail.

It's been 37 years since I've seen a UFO - and finally this evening - Thursday, July 29, at 10:59 p.m. - I was blessed with watching something odd in the late evening sky.

Keep in mind - a UFO is not necessarily an alien craft from a far away galaxy or inter-dimensional travelers. It's just something flying through the air that you cannot immediately identify.

My 17-year-old son, Joey, and myself had just stepped out our back door onto a deck from our Scottdale, Pennsylvania home. We have a wooden ramp that moves off of this for my wife's wheelchair. Joey was off to a friend's house for the night and I was just seeing him out.

I stopped at the top of the ramp as he tromped down it into the back yard - and I looked up into the northeast sky.

A giant, green fireball suddenly caught my attention - and I immediately shouted to Joey to look up. We both watched this object silently moving in a downward motion and only lost sight of it behind our neighbor Debbie's two-story frame home one block away.

US: Falling object over Ohio splits into pieces and moves in formation

An Ohio couple driving along I-675 report watching a bright, falling object in the sky on July 16, 2010, that split into multiple pieces and then hovered or moved in formation until they dimmed out, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"The object appeared to be falling when it split into 3 separate pieces," the reporting witness stated.

"All three pieces maintain the identical distance and descending speeds. The three parts then broke apart and several of the pieces hovered on the horizon. All of the objects appeared to be in a formation with identical spacing. Then as they hovered they appeared to dim on and off for several minutes."

The entire event lasted 10 minutes. The couple left the highway at Exit 2. They are curious as to what it is they saw.

A Kentucky mother has been watching everything she can about alien abduction ever since her 5-year-old son woke up June 10, 2010, and described an unusual encounter, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"This particular morning, he came to me visibly upset telling me he dreamed about aliens," the woman stated. "I would never take him seriously normally but this morning and the way he acted made me listen."

The child described the alien's eyes, fingers, lights on a ship, and how they talked in "whispers."

"I know it could have been a dream but isn't that how some people remember? I've never heard him come and tell me a dream so vividly and detailed. I thought it should be my duty to report this and if anything else happens, I will definitely report again."

Where The Witches Gather: Strange Mexican Stories

A curious story occupied the headlines of a number of Mexican newspapers in 2006 regarding the startling re-emergence of strange entities best described as "witches" in parts of the country, but mainly in the area of Monterrey, Mexico's second most important city. According to Matamoros' El Mañana newspaper on September 19, 2006, Gerardo Garza Carvajal (Carbajal, in some newspaper accounts) a policeman from Santa Catarina claimed having seen two witches while on a routine patrol near a graveyard months earlier.

With five years' seniority with the Monterrey police department, Garza stepped forward with the story of his bizarre experience only because a fellow officer agreed to substantiate the experience. The young police officer had a glowing record and had never experienced any mental issues or hallucinations, as substantiated by tests performed on him at the Municipal Clinic.

Gerardo Garza's brush with the supernatural occurred near the Panteon Municipal cemetery, a short distance from the road leading to Villa Garcia." I was inside the guardhouse when I heard the sound of pebbles being thrown against the door. I went outside to see what was going on, and it was then that I saw two witches with faces like old women, with red eyes and black hats tipped backward; they had feathered wings and claws on the ends of those extremities. They began laughing horribly, and I got back into the guardhouse and saw what they were doing through a peephole. They were flying in circles, so I reported the situation to my fellow officers."
