Two different reports from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database describe the same object spotted in California skies on July 31, 2010, according to testimony from the MUFON witness reporting database.

The first witness in MUFON Case # 24883 first thought the object was an approaching satellite, but the dim white color began "increasing in size and intensity." The object was self illuminated as "an unusual shade of light green around the edge and brilliant white in the center."

The object then went dark, but quickly returned to full intensity again.

While watching this object, the witness also "noticed a small, white object shooting off to the west at a slight downward angle." Sitting just below the first object, this second object had a slight tail.

The first object then "rapidly diminished in size and became completely dark." The witness cannot be sure, but feels like the second object may have been emitted from the first object.

Then in MUFON Case # 24895, a California couple and their son described the same object - something that "moved slowly toward the east, then stopped, brightened a lot, then dimmed to almost nothing, brightened a lot again and disappeared." A few minutes after this first sighting, the three saw a second object with the same description.

Specific town names were not mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON reports. No images or video were provided with either report.

Update: The third witness popped up in the Comments section of the story and claimed they saw the same object on the same night. They shot video of the object and posted it on YouTube. You can watch the video at the top of this page.
