One Arkansas witness is typical of some U.S. UFO reports where if you spot something anomalous in the sky - get ready - there may be multiple objects in the area, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

While most UFO reports describe a single object and a short duration, there are increasing reports across the country of multiple UFOs moving together and remaining in the sky for longer viewing durations.

While statistical data should back up that statement, the observation here is a casual one after covering hundreds of UFO reports daily since January 2009 - most of these from the MUFON database.

The witness in this case is typical of the average UFO observer where the viewing is not planned - but the witness happens upon the object in their daily routine. In this case, the witness was simply outside doing yard work.

"I happen to look up and see a cigar UFO off in the distance heading west," the witness stated. "It was already really far away, so it disappeared out of sight fairly quick. I was curious, but since it was already gone, I just dismissed it."

Well, not so fast.

If you are lucky enough to see something anomalous in the sky - keep watching. The object that just disappeared from view might be back, or there may be more objects to see over generally the next 30 minutes.

"Then about not even 5 minutes later, right above my house heading southeast, another one appears moving slowly through the air."

In this case, the witness eventually watched four of these objects. After the third object appeared, the witness decided to attempt communication with it - by whistling and waving hands in the air. While it cannot be proved that the object actually responded, what followed appeared from the witnesses' point of view to be a response.

The witness reports that "the front end of it lights up bright red." The witness interpreted this as a response to what he was doing on the ground.

In my personal UFO sighting from 1973, the oval-shaped object moved silently over a suburban Pennsylvania housing development (300 homes) about 30 feet in the air. Dozens of witnesses watched in disbelief, and then gathered on front lawns with necks cranked back hoping for another look. The object did return two additional times that evening, and in both of these cases, appeared to be chased by both fighter jets and light aircraft.

In many more recent cases, land observers appear to see smaller objects being jettisoned out of a single, larger object. Multiple witnesses are also reporting, in some recent cases, a dozen or more anomalous objects streaking across the sky - where speed, maneuvers, and on-board lighting does not match FAA regulations or known abilities of known aircraft.

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report. No images or video were offered by the witness for this report.

Arkansas, August 4, 2010 - 4 cigar UFOs within half an hour right above my house!!! MUFON Case # 24943.

I was standing outside helping the family with yard work. It was about 8:00 pm, still pretty bright out. I happen to look up and see a cigar ufo off in the distance heading West.

It was already really far away so it disappeared out of sight fairly quick. I was curious, but since it was already gone I just dismissed it.

Then about not even 5 min later, right above my house heading South-East another one appears moving slowly through the air. I was astounded for that was the second one I had seen today. Not to mention the one above my house last night. Anyway, as the second cigar ufo vanishes into the South-Eastern horizon I start to wonder why I've seen so many in a short time. As I'm deep in thought I see ANOTHER cigar ufo heading in the exact opposite direction of the second one. This would be the third cigar ufo. I get the bright idea, considering this one was fairly low in the sky, to whistle and wave my arms in the air at it. I continue this, getting more loud in volume until the front end of it lights up bright red as if saying "Hello! I'm waving back at you!" And just as this happens ANOTHER cigar ufo appears only a couple hundred feet behind the the third one. They are on the same path in sky. This fourth one is following the third with strange precision.

This whole event just quite literally blows my mind. As a ufo hunter, I've learned that cigar ufo's are a pretty rare occurrence, but in the past two days I've seen 5!!!!! I have a picture that I can't post on here because I want to enlarge it for a better view.
