An Ohio couple driving along I-675 report watching a bright, falling object in the sky on July 16, 2010, that split into multiple pieces and then hovered or moved in formation until they dimmed out, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"The object appeared to be falling when it split into 3 separate pieces," the reporting witness stated.

"All three pieces maintain the identical distance and descending speeds. The three parts then broke apart and several of the pieces hovered on the horizon. All of the objects appeared to be in a formation with identical spacing. Then as they hovered they appeared to dim on and off for several minutes."

The entire event lasted 10 minutes. The couple left the highway at Exit 2. They are curious as to what it is they saw.

Ohio, July 16, 2010 - Small fireball with tail (at onset of event). MUFON Case # 24795.

My wife and I had just finished dinner at a friends home, we turned onto I-675 headed south from the Greene shopping center.

I initially noticed a falling object that appeared to be on fire. I alerted my wife as I thought it was atypical of a shooting star or anything else we have witnessed.

I have seen several reentry events and this was by far the most bizarre. We lost sight of the objects when we exited I-675 on exit 2. The entire event lasted about 10 minutes. I have not been able to ID this event but I am sure it was not a plane, or flares, or any previously orbiting body.
