Yetis 'do exist'

Yetis do exist and live in the Siberian mountains, according to a region that has found "indisputable proof" of the existence of the hairy beasts in an expedition, it has been claimed.

The Russian coal-mining region of Kemerovo said in a statement on its website that footprints and possibly even hair samples belonging to the yeti were found on the research trip to its remote mountains.

"During the expedition to the Azasskaya cave, conference participants gathered indisputable proof that the Shoria mountains are inhabited by the 'Snow Man'," the Kemerovo region administration said.

The expedition was organised after Kemerovo's governor invited researchers from the United States, Canada, and several other countries to share their research and stories of encounters with the creature at a conference.

Russian tundra said to reveal evidence that prompts conference visitors to be 95% sure of abominable snowman's existence

The vast Siberian tundra holds untold mysteries, from once-secret nuclear installations to alleged UFO crash sites.

Now, a team of scientists say they are "95%" sure that Russia's wintry expanse is home to the mythical yeti, otherwise known as the abominable snowman.

More than a dozen scientists and yeti enthusiasts flew in from Canada, Estonia, Sweden and the US to exchange findings with their Russian counterparts at a day-long conference in the town of Tashtagol, some 2,000 miles east of Moscow in the Kemerovo region. Locals there have reported an increase in sightings of a creature in recent years.

A two-day expedition to the region's Azassky cave and Karatag peak over the weekend "collected irrefutable evidence" of the yeti's existence there, the Kemerovo government claimed in a statement. "In one of the detected tracks, Russian scientist Anatoly Fokin noted several hairs that might belong to the yeti," it added. Scientists also found footprints, a presumed bed and various other markers.

US, Michigan: Mysterious Light in the Sky

It's captured the attention of several people in the Kalamazoo area lately, what appears to be a mysterious object flying in the night sky.

On Thursday Newschannel 3 went looking for answers in a story that's definitely out of the ordinary.

Lester McCants sent Newschannel 3 video of what he saw. The question is if it's a practical joke, a flying object in the sky or something else entirely.

Many believe there's life in the skies above, and in recent nights an unusual light has been seen in the skies above West Michigan. It appears to be a flashing light, changing colors and moving fast. That light allegedly showed up in the sky over Portage.

"It moves," said Lester McCants. "It move real gracefully, like a fish in a fish tank when you tap the glass and the fish hurry and jump to another side."

Comment: The "astronomer" is quick to pass this off as a "star". But could it be something more akin to a meteor? Here are some comments from locals on the original article website.
Javier Ledesma · Account Manager at Rent-A-Center

I saw it myself. I was in Watervliet, MI, and it was a bright enough flash in the sky to be visibly seen while under numerous street lights.

After noticing the flash, I looked up to see something falling. A trail of pure white light that had a very fiery trail as it fell from the sky, then broke into two pieces, shined even brighter, then went out as I saw their now dark pieces fall to the ground.

What I saw was no star. It was something that was IN our atmosphere.
Elizabeth Neeley · Everest Institute

I live in Galesburg and we watched it for over an hour flashing and moving up and down then all of a sudden a huge bright flash like a bright white light shot off from the side of it and made like an explosion in the sky...it was so bright we could see it perfectly....there is def something out there and it was very strange!

US: Two UFO reports describe 'unusual maneuvers' over Lees Summit, Missouri

Missouri state flag
Two UFO reports from Lee's Summit, MO, on October 3 and 4, 2011, describe unidentified objects making unusual maneuvers in the sky, according to October 4, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

A witness driving along Pryor Road about 8:30 p.m. on October 3, 2011, reports an object between 3,000 and 5,000 feet.

"Once it was within maybe a half-mile of my location, I realized this was no plane," the witness stated. "I had my windows down and absolutely no sound coming from it."

The witness described the object.

"It had many white lights and some green ones. It crossed over the road and continued in a southeast direction maybe another 5-10 miles and then began turning back to the north."

The witness telephone a daughter, who initially laughed at the idea of a UFO, but soon saw the object herself.

UK: Eye-witnesses give their accounts of freak explosion in Crewe

crew explosion
There was an air of nervousness and uncertainty among police at the scene of Wednesday night's explosion near Crewe Station.

But it was understandable - no-one was quite sure exactly what had happened.

Because of the location, the initial speculation from many of the gathered onlookers was there had been some kind of terrorist attack.

Police and firefighters were quick to rule this out. But in the first half hour or so they appeared to be at a loss to explain the cause.

Canada: Mysterious Hum Baffles Experts and Annoys Ranchlands Residents

Hum
© Jana Makar / Calgary HeraldSome residents of the northwest community of Ranchlands say they are being driven to distraction by a low-frequency hum. University of Calgary sound engineers, Enmax and ATCO are working together, but have so far been unable to identify the source.

Calgary - It's a noise that's been driving some residents in Ranchlands crazy for the past three years, but a team investigating the mysterious, low-frequency hum have still not tracked down the source.

The hum has been confirmed in at least 20 houses in the northwest community through testing with noise meters by University of Calgary sound engineers.

Residents first started noticing the noise in 2008, but at a community meeting held Wednesday volunteer investigators who've been working on the case for more than two years could only identify potential sources they'd ruled out.

"It's a lengthy process," said Terry Avramenko, president of the Ranchlands Community Association. "We're trying to find the source through trial and elimination."

Residents, including Avramenko, have complained of having trouble sleeping due to the irritating, humming noise which registers at about 40 MHz.

Namibia: Churches Preach Against Satanic Cults

Church leaders in Walvis Bay have spoken out strongly against the reported presence of satanic cults operating in the coastal town.

Church elders are worried that the presence of cult-like satanic sects might lure young and vulnerable people into the practice.

The men of the cloth also urged the public to remain strong in their faith and not to be lured by the sects.

This follows the discovery of what appeared to have been a bonfire and animal remains believed to have been used during satanic rituals at a site near Dune 7, according to local media in the coastal town. Coast-based newspaper the Namib Times, reported that a satanic cult-like movement had set up shop in Walvis Bay although this remained unproven.

According to a local Pastor here is partial proof from testimonies made by members of public who were possessed by demons and were prayed for by local pastors.
