Two UFO reports from Lee's Summit, MO, on October 3 and 4, 2011, describe unidentified objects making unusual maneuvers in the sky, according to October 4, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
A witness driving along Pryor Road about 8:30 p.m. on October 3, 2011, reports an object between 3,000 and 5,000 feet.
"Once it was within maybe a half-mile of my location, I realized this was no plane," the witness stated. "I had my windows down and absolutely no sound coming from it."
The witness described the object.
"It had many white lights and some green ones. It crossed over the road and continued in a southeast direction maybe another 5-10 miles and then began turning back to the north."
The witness telephone a daughter, who initially laughed at the idea of a UFO, but soon saw the object herself.
Comment: The "astronomer" is quick to pass this off as a "star". But could it be something more akin to a meteor? Here are some comments from locals on the original article website.
