Classes ended prematurely at a Corporate Area high school last Thursday following reports that there were demons at the institution, one of which possessed a female student.

The Star understands that the demon revealed himself and discouraged other students from praying for the possessed girl warning them that if they disobeyed he would leave the girl's body and enter theirs instead.

It was also understood that fear hung over the institution forcing the school's administration to seek the assistance of a special prayer team that specialises in demon possession. The prayer team is from a nearby church.

When the team arrived, they were reportedly greeted by a group of Baptist pastors who were eager to lend their assistance to rid the school of the demons.

Subsequently, the school's administration summoned students to a general prayer assembly feeling confident that the scare had ended but they were in for a surprise.

Russian divers discover skeletal remains of lake dwelling "Devil-Monster"

Scientists making the dive into one of the coldest lakes on the planet have made a discovery that some believe proves the existence of Russia's own "Loch Ness Monster".

Russian researchers have officially reached the bottom of Labynkyr, the first time the feat has ever been achieved, seeing as how the lake's location, the Siberian village of Oymyakon in Yakutia, is home to one of the three lowest air temperatures on Earth.

Leading the history-making Russian Geographical Society dive team is Dmitry Shilley, who told reporters that the research was as much about adventure as it was about science.

"By now almost all the land on earth has been studied, but terra firma is only 30% of the planet", he said. "I'm sure there are a lot of secrets under water, so that's where all of the science will go in the near future".

Not only has Guiness World Records taken note of the dive, but so too have cryptozoologists, who have watched the mysterious lake closely since the 50′s, when the head of the USSR's Acadamy of Science Siberian geological unit Viktor Tverdokhlebov unwittingly created the legend of the Labynkyr Devil, a monster the Russians have long considered their own Loch Ness Monster.

Does a seemingly innocent YouTube video of yard work contain the otherworldly wails of a ghostly child? One man thinks so.

Gavin Espley, from Birmingham, England believes he accidentally captured the eerie voice of a child's ghost on camera and he's uploaded the video to the internet in the hopes of convincing others.

The clip, which as of this writing has a scant 63 views, was already a bit weird to begin with.. it's a cell phone video of a man raking leaves shot from a second story window overlooking a nunnary yard.

It only gets stranger though, when you turn up the volume and hear what sounds like a distant wailing.. a lost child moaning, "I'm cold, Mummy. I'm cold."

UFO alert sparked by strange lights in sky over York

Dozens of people reported seeing a UFO in the sky over York with police investigating claims space debris crashed into the ground at New Earswick.

North Yorkshire Police said a member of the public contacted the force to report a hole in a grass verge in Hazel Close at 1am yesterday.

A spokeswoman said the caller thought the small crater was caused by space debris.

"An officer attended the scene and found a hole in a grass verge approximately 1ft deep," she said.

"There was no debris inside the hole and we are not in a position to confirm how or when the hole was made. City of York Council will be made aware of the hole."

New Talbot Pub manager Ajay Cohan thought he had misplaced his phone in the wee hours of the morning as he cleaned. Cohan check the CCTV cameras later, astonished to see his phone disappear from a chair sometime around 2:30 in the morning.

Locals are saying it's the work of former landlord Gary Stephens, who died of a heart attack in 1993. Regulars have reported the chair in question also happened to be the late Stephens' favorite.

The video of the phone in question is a 13 second clip of a black blob scooting across a bench and disappearing under the table with a thud.

Cohan and his family who live on the property, are frightened by the recent CCTV video.

"It was crazy when I watched back the footage, no one was near it and then it just flies off the seat and across the pub," Cohan told The Sun. "There is no explanation. The vibration function on my phone is broken; there is no draft inside the pub."

Question

'House of doom' sees nine die in 15 years

Haunted House?

A building in the leafy suburbs of Berlin has been dubbed the house of doom after it emerged that nine people died unnatural deaths there in the last 15 years. Tabloid newspaper Bild dug up the details.

Built just 25 years ago in the Gatow district of Spandau, the large house has been home to a brothel owner who ended up decapitated, the suicide pact of a British journalist and his lover, and the murder-suicide of an entire family.

The most recent was scientist Lorin W., who earlier this month bumped his car into the vehicle in front at the traffic lights. When the driver rang the police, the Siemens employee tore off onto the motorway, where he lost control at a speed of 200kph and died in the crash.

But Lorin W. was not the first to meet his maker in a nasty accident. A brothel owner who was renting the top floor apartment was decapitated while flying down the nearby Autobahn on his motorbike in 2003.

Question

Explosion in Zimbabwe that killed 5 people was apparently the result of a 'goblin disposal ceremony' gone wrong

Mystery Blast
© NewsdzeZimbabwe

The survivor, Ms Clara Banda, who escaped with visible minor burns and eye injury, says the blast occurred soon after her counterpart, 24-year-old Speakmore Mandere, popularly known as Sekuru Shumba, beheaded the goblin.

She claims to have miraculously escaped after failing to land the major role of conducting the ceremony. In a state of shock, she ran to her nearby home soon after the blast.

According to Ms Banda, transport operator Mr Clever Kamuyedza approached Mandere seeking help to dispose of the troubling goblin. He was to pay $15,000 for the ritual.

"The tragedy fell upon us while we were conducting the ceremony to dispose of the goblin that this businessman brought to Sekuru Shumba," said Ms Banda.

According to the traditional healer, Mr Kamuyedza acquired a money-spinning goblin from a nearby country to boost the fortunes of his transport business.

He, however, decided to dispose of it after it started "to make extreme demands.'' Mandere is said to have assembled a team of traditional healers including Ms Banda, to assist in conducting the ceremony. "After assembling the team, Sekuru Shumba invited Mr Kamuyedza, his wife and two of their associates to his home for consultations," said Ms Banda. "The consultations lasted three days during which we discussed whether or not we could handle this kind of ritual."

Black Country crop circles prove phenomenon is no hoax, claims Australian expert

Crop circles are not the work of hoaxers and aerial photos of the Black Country can prove it, says Australian boffin.

An Aussie historian believes he has buried forever the 'cereal' lie that crop circles are the work of hoaxers - by unearthing Black Country images of them dating back to 1945 and beyond.

It's 'barley' believable, but Greg Jefferys has also uncovered evidence of the phenomenon in scientific documents dating back to 1880.

The boffin, from Hobart, Tasmania, says his findings prove there's more to the mysterious circles than hoaxers playing silly tricks.

"This discovery proves that claims by various artists to be the sole creators of crop circles are themselves a hoax," he says.

"It just goes to show that the circles remain unexplained.

"I hope this discovery will stimulate renewed interest in crop circles by serious scientific researchers who have been fooled by the hoax claims."

Greg, aged 59, who cut his teeth locating shipwrecks, used Google Earth's new 1945 overlay - images of places taken 68 years ago - to make the breakthrough.

Question

Pacific Northwest may finally have evidence bigfoot exists

Not since Roger Patterson's 1967 encounter has there been so much hype over the possible discovery of Sasquatch, better known as Bigfoot.

In the deep woods of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in the Pacific Northwest there could be a very real Bigfoot lurking in the night, belting out its blood-curdling serenades to all those who wish to lend a listening ear. And one local resident has garnered audio-proof that something unknown is calling out from the brushy swamp area east of Pendleton, Oregon.

The sounds emanating from the woods have been occurring since at least November and range in tone from high-pitched cries to deep-bodied roars. Sylvia Minthorn told The Oregonian newspaper that the late-night shrieks are so piercing that even the hair on grown men will stand at attention.

Several local sources have already attributed the noises to those of foxes or coyotes. But some local residents are not so sure, and believe what they are hearing are the cries of the Bigfoot.

"It's causing an uproar around here," said Minthorn, who lives in a tribal housing unit near the swamp, where she used to play as a child.

The shrilly-night cries have been captured by Colleen Chance, a tribal housing authority employee, who recorded them on her iPhone.

"It's kind of spooky," she said. "Some say it's foxes, some say it's a female coyote and some say it's Sasquatch. I don't know what it is."

While everyone has their own opinions, so far no one has pinpointed the source. The Reservation covers some 178,000 acres and extends into northeastern Oregon's Blue Mountains. About 1,500 people call the area home.
