A bridge in China suspended over a 1,854-foot gorge became the "world's highest" when it opened to automotive traffic Thursday, reports said.

The Beipanjiang Bridge took three years to build, cost more than $146.7 million dollars, and stretches to be 4,396 feet long. Its four-lane roadway sits nearly two thousand feet over the Beipan River, which it's named after, to connect the Yunnan and Guizhou provinces in southwest China, People's Daily Online reported. It surpassed the 1,837-foot-tall Sidu River Bridge for its world record title.

Cop's body cam catches him brutally attack & taser man walking his bike

Cops body cam catches him brutally attack & taser man walking his bike
Attorney and former police officer Anthony Ramirez says he was at first skeptical of his client's claims of police brutality — until he obtained body cam footage showing an Arizona officer pulling up to Joshua Dombrowski, shoving him to the ground, and performing a vicious arrest.

Dombrowski had been walking his bicycle down the sidewalk in a straight line on August 14, when a Mesa officer pulled up, jumped from his cruiser, and slammed him onto the ground — an act the man says happened for 'no good reason.'

Ramirez acquired the Mesa Police Department officer's report stating Dombrowski "forced two pedestrians" to "move off the sidewalk" to give him space, so the unnamed cop told the man to "stop" — and pursued him when he paused and then rode off "at a higher rate of speed."

ABC News, who obtained body camera footage from Ramirez, explained, "When the officer caught up with Dombrowski and told him to sit on the ground, the officer said the man dismounted his bike and instead proceeded to 'advance on me,' according to the police report."

'We don't even have enough money to buy food': India's cash ban could get worse

rupee notes
Behold, the power of banksters, and the very rapid shift into the cashless, digital control grid that has been an objective now for many decades.

Suddenly, things are moving faster than anyone could have imagined.

Officially, the government of India believes their demonetization efforts to haul in some 86% of the cash in circulation will bolster the economy and improve the situation for the world's second most populous country.

But on the ground, and in reality, the pain is still spreading - and it could become even worse.

The cost of goods is increasing sharply and the poor and working classes are being hit hard ... and many are still waiting in long bank lines to deposit what little they have.

Cash-related industries, which dominate Indian daily life, including tourism, shops, farming, vendors, day labor, jewelry and the informal industries are facing huge declines as cash bans have severely cut back their business.

For throwing a temper tantrum, 6-year-old Nicholas, who has been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, was kidnapped from his elementary school by police and imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital.

Nicholas was held, including multiple stints in a 'seclusion room,' for three days at River Point Behavioral Health.

According to Buzzfeed, "River Point Behavioral Health is a troubled unit of the nation's largest psychiatric hospital chain, Universal Health Services. UHS was the subject of a recent BuzzFeed News investigation, which found that current and former employees from at least 10 of the company's hospitals in nine states said they were under pressure to fill beds by almost any method and to hold patients until their insurance payments ran out. Nicholas was covered by Medicaid, the government insurance program."

Once admitted to the hospital, the staff stayed true to their tendency of holding patients and did everything they could to use the state to force Nicholas to stay. This was in spite of his parents' demands to let him out.

"I didn't want him to be there at all," Nicholas' mom told BuzzFeed News, adding that she immediately asked the facility to release her son because he was so young and didn't need to be there.

Police have linked more than 500 crimes to the use of dating apps Tinder and Grindr, including murder, rape and child abuse.

Almost a third of these were sexual offences including rape, child abuse and grooming.

It comes after serial killer Stephen Port was jailed last month for the murders of four young men, including Daniel Whitworth, he met on gay websites and apps including Grindr.

Lib Dem leader Tim Farron warned: "I worry that these shocking figures could just be the tip of the iceberg."

Data compiled by almost three-quarters of police forces across England and Wales listed 523 crimes from the past five years where official logs included the words Tinder or Grindr.
