Swedish party leader says multiculturalism is a ‘total failure’: Wants to reconsider all residence permits since the year 2000
Gustav Kasselstrand, the leader and founder of the new Alternative for Sweden (AfS) party, has attacked his country's migration policy. Kasselstrand has serious plans to send migrants back who don't integrate, Sweden's Fria Tider reports.

Kasselstrand says Sweden's 'multiculture is an impossibility and a total failure'. According to him It is not possible to combine widely different peoples in one country and expect good results.

"The historical experience of multicultural societies points to the opposite. Disagreements and conflicts, not a harmonious social life [...] is the result of multiculturalism and mass immigration," he said.

Kasselstrand added that "Alternative for Sweden will never have a so-called integration policy. If immigrants cannot integrate themselves in Sweden, they will receive a 'single-ticket home' instead".

His AfS party has the intention to reconsider all residence permits issued in Sweden since 2000 and could send migrants back who have been granted residence permits on incorrect grounds.

A 'Win-Win'?: Israel to scrap refugee deportation plan for a new deal with UN

With the collapse of Israel's mass deportation plan, tens of thousands of African asylum seekers now face an uncertain future.

Tel Aviv is looking to resume negotiations with the UN refugee agency to resettle the roughly 38,000 asylum seekers living in the country, the majority of whom fled Eritrea and Sudan, Israel's Channel 10 News has reported.

Early last month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he had reached a deal with the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees to resettle some of the refugees, only to back off the following day due to strong pressure from his political supporters.

According to media reports, Netanyahu now wants a better deal with the UNHCR.

On Wednesday, Channel 10 reported that the UN agency had contacted the Israeli government saying that it was ready to sign the deal, which it called "a win-win that would benefit both Israel and the people needing asylum."

Israel's National Security Council responded by saying it wanted to renegotiate the agreement by introducing certain amendments to reduce the number of African refugees who are to remain in the country. According to the initial agreement, Israel pledged to end the forced deportation of asylum seekers allowing 16,000 of them to stay in Israel with and as many more to be resettled in Western countries.

Last week Israel acknowledged the failure of its refugee relocation plan and its inability to forcibly deport the asylum seekers. It also said it would stop all pre-deportation hearings for asylum seekers.

Comment: Israel doesn't do compromise nor anything that is not self-serving.

The United States has moved a detainee from the Guantanamo Bay detention facility to Saudi Arabia, the US Department of Defense said in a press release on Wednesday, marking the first time such a transfer has been carried out under President Donald Trump.

"The Department of Defense announced today the transfer of Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Haza al Darbi from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," the release said. Darbi has been sentenced to 13 years in prison on terrorism-related charges. In February 2014, he plead guilty before a military commission and gave up his right to appeal, the release said.

The transfer has been made in coordination with the Saudi government to verify all procedure standards and humane treatment are being followed carefully, according to the release.

Trump said shortly before his inauguration in January 2017 there should be no further releases of detainees from the Guantanamo Bay facility. The US president characterized the remaining detainees there as being extremely dangerous and prevented from returning to the battlefield.

Of the 714 detainees released from the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, 532 were freed by President George W. Bush and the remainder by President Barack Obama, who tried but ultimately failed to close the detention facility.

I was recently shocked to read these words in The New York Times:
"For seven decades, "never forget" has been a rallying cry of the Holocaust remembrance movement.

But a survey released Thursday, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, found that many adults lack basic knowledge of what happened - and this lack of knowledge is more pronounced among millennials, whom the survey defined as people ages 18 to 34.

Thirty-one percent of Americans, and 41 percent of millennials, believe that two million or fewer Jews were killed in the Holocaust; the actual number is around six million. Forty-one percent of Americans, and 66 percent of millennials, cannot say what Auschwitz was. And 52 percent of Americans wrongly think Hitler came to power through force."

Bell was released on Friday after a judge rejected a petition from a police union organization to have his patrol blocked.

Former Black Panther and Black Liberation Army member Herman Bell was released from a prison in upstate New York, after spending 45 years incarcerated.

Bell's support group issued the following statement upon his release: "We hope that Herman's release will be a source of inspiration for more changes. Herman feels very honored and grateful for all the expressions of trust and support, but out of respect for the feelings of the relatives of the victims, he will not make public statements. We welcome you."

Bell was released, on Friday, after a judge had rejected a petition from a police union organization, Benevolent Patrol Association, to have his parole blocked. The ex-activist, who is credited for mentoring thousands of young people during his time in prison, had a record of excellent behavior while in prison.

UK schools may be required to weigh students to get additional resources to combat childhood obesity. In a new strategy to help obese kids to lose weight, schools with more chubby children would receive extra funding.

Schools may be required to weigh and measure their students annually. Extra support from education body Ofsted would be offered to schools that tip the scales the most, while free gym classes and home visits would also be provided.

It's estimated that one-in-five children is overweight by the time they finish primary school. The obesity proposals are being studied by Number 10 after ministers visited a groundbreaking anti-obesity project in Amsterdam. Between 2012 and 2015, Amsterdam managed to reduce obesity by 12 percent in all children. In lower socioeconomic households, obesity dropped by 18 percent.

Comment: The problem isn't just the involvement of schools and government 'trying to do the job of the parents'. An accurate understanding and application of 'eating healthy' is missing from public knowledge. If UK government want to play a bigger role in this area then they should be starting by withdrawing their support for glyphosate, review their deadly dietary advice, and listen to what experts are telling them about fats.

The United States spent more on its military in 2017 than the next seven highest-spending countries combined; the land of the free, in fact, accounted for 35 percent of the entire planet's defense expenditure, which totalled $1.74 trillion that year.

The new statistics come from data released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in their May 2018 report: Trends in World Military Expenditure.

CNN continues toward catastrophe with lowest rated news shows on cable television

Far-left CNN's highest rated show, Anderson Cooper 360, came in a humiliating 24th for April, behind every single program on Fox News that airs after 6 a.m.

With 1.1 million viewers, Cooper was also the only CNN show that managed to attract more than a million viewers. Erin Burnett, the second-highest rated show on CNN, came in 27th place and drew only 965,00 total viewers. Jake Tapper, who is being sold as some kind of superstar, slid face first into 32nd place with only 927,000 viewers.

For the third month in a row, CNN's New Day is the lowest-rated show in all of cable news (that airs after 6 a.m.), placing 41st with a scant 625,000 viewers. The show, co-hosted by anti-Trump activists Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota, only barely beat Fox & Friends First (#42 with 572,000 viewers), which airs at 4 a.m.!

Comment: CNN has doubled down on its talking points that regularly alienates the majority of Americans. Seems its leaders are having a hard time learning from their behavior.

Suicide bombers killed dozens of people at a mosque and a market in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday, in a twin attack bearing the hallmarks of Islamist insurgents Boko Haram.

The blasts happened at about 1:20 pm (1220 GMT) in Mubi, a city some 200 kilometres (125 miles) from the Adamawa state capital, Yola.

Adamawa state police spokesman Othman Abubakar said, "For now (the death toll) is 24," but other sources gave far higher figures.

Rescue worker Sani Kakale said: "In my presence, 42 dead bodies were taken to hospital and 68 injured." A source at Mubi General Hospital told AFP they had "so far" received 37 bodies and dozens of injured, many of them critically.

Suspicion immediately fell on Boko Haram, the jihadist group whose quest to establish a hardline Islamic state in northeast Nigeria has left at least 20,000 dead since 2009.

Mubi has been repeatedly targeted in attacks blamed on Boko Haram since it was briefly overrun by the militants in late 2014.
