Protests sweep Israel after hostage deaths

Public discontent with the Netanyahu government has escalated after the bodies of six Israeli hostages were found in Gaza. Tens of thousands of protesters flooded the streets of Israeli cities on Sunday, demanding an immediate ceasefire deal with Hamas after the bodies of six hostages were discovered in Gaza tunnels.

Israel's largest trade union called for a nationwide strike to shut down the "entire Israeli economy" on Monday, with the support of rights groups, to pressure the government to sign a truce and secure the release of the remaining hostages.

Sunday's demonstrations were the largest since Israel launched its war on Hamas in response to the October 7 attack, which left around 1,200 Israelis dead and 200 taken hostage. Organizers described the rally as an "endless sea of protesters," estimating a crowd of 300,000 people in Tel Aviv and an additional 200,000 in other cities across the country.

Comment: Israel on strike! Protesters take to the streets:
Israel's trade unions staged a mass strike on Monday to pressure the country's government to agree to a ceasefire deal with Hamas and secure the release of hostages being held by the Palestinian militant group in Gaza.

The industrial action was called by Israel's largest trade union, Histadrut, after the bodies of six hostages were discovered in Gaza by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David announced on Sunday:
"The entire Israeli economy will strike" on Monday morning, and that "the entire nation will come to a standstill and unite in a shared cry to bring the hostages back."
The union represents about 800,000 Israeli workers.

According to local media reports, hundreds of protesters blocked roads and intersections across Israel, departures from the Ben Gurion international airport near Jerusalem were temporarily suspended, and light rail and bus routes around the country were also at a standstill. Schools, universities, hospitals and local municipalities, as well as private business owners, were also reportedly expected to join the industrial action.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Monday that he was trying to use his power in the government to prevent Netanyahu from yielding to protesters' demands and agree to a "reckless deal."

Ukrainian anthem found in US voter database code

A review of the software responsible for compiling voter lists in New Hampshire reportedly revealed that it was connected to servers outside the US.

The Ukrainian anthem has been found embedded in the source code of the voter database in the state of New Hampshire, the development of which had apparently been outsourced to offshore programmers, according to Politico.

Election officials had previously decided to replace the state's voter registration database before the upcoming 2024 presidential election and reportedly turned to a small Connecticut-based IT firm called WSD Digital to develop the software.

However, upon reviewing the completed project, it was revealed that the firm had offshored some of the work. Given that this posed a risk of unknown coders outside the US having access to the software and potentially being able to manipulate voter lists, New Hampshire officials hired a forensic firm to scour the code for signs of hidden malware.

The probe reportedly revealed a number of "unwelcome surprises," Politico claimed, citing a person familiar with the investigation. These included the use of open-source code, software which had been misconfigured to connect to servers outside the country, and the lyrics to the Ukrainian national anthem.

Comment: The accused: Tehran denies doing to US what the US (very capably and intentionally) does to itself.

US Marines attacked in Türkiye

US marines attacked in Turkey
The group behind the incident says American troops have "Palestinian blood" on their hands

Members of a nationalist youth organization attacked two US Marines in the Turkish city of Izmir on Monday. The service members had disembarked from the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp, which arrived on deployment in the Mediterranean Sea.

A video of the altercation shows a group of men holding down a plain-clothed Marine, with one of the assailants placing a white sack over his head. The mob reportedly yelled "Yankee, go home!" as they attacked the servicemen.

According to the Izmir governor's office, security forces "quickly intervened in the incident," detaining 15 suspects.

"The two Marines were aided by other Marines in the area and were subsequently taken to a local hospital for evaluation as a precaution but were not injured and have returned to the USS Wasp," Commander Timothy Gorman, a spokesman for US Naval Forces Europe-Africa, said.

The US Embassy released a statement, saying the Americans "are now safe." The diplomats thanked the Turkish authorities for "their rapid response and ongoing investigation."

Comment: This happens at the same time that Turkiye is applying for BRICS membership. Turkiye is slowly having to chose a side as sitting on the fence is not bringing benefits in the long run.

In 24 hours: Historic French church ravaged by fire; Church in N. Ireland gutted by 'arson'

fire
© MARC DEMEURE / PHOTOPQR/VOIX DU NORD/MAXPPPFirefighters work to contain a fire in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Saint-Omer, France, September 2, 2024.
Early in the morning on Monday, September 2, a fire broke out in the 19th-century church in the northern French town of Saint-Omer. No-one was hurt, but the church's steeple has collapsed.

A major fire broke out at a historic church in northern France early on Monday, September 2, with its bell tower collapsing as a result of the blaze, officials said.

At around 4:30 am, a fire broke out in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the northern town of Saint-Omer.

Thanks to the efforts of 90 firefighters the fire was contained by Monday morning, but the church steeple had collapsed, a representative of the prefecture told Agence France-Presse (AFP). No one was injured, but around 50 residents living nearby were evacuated as a precaution, officials said.

Comment: It is suspicious that there was yet another church fire, only a few months before, and which also started in the upper portion of the building. At the time, the cause was deemed to be 'unknown'.

Also of note is that just a week ago there was, what appears to be, a faked hate crime outside a synagogue in southern France: Gas canister explosion outside synagogue in France, police open terror investigation

And reported yesterday, over in Ireland:
Co Antrim church fire being treated as arson as community left 'devastated' by blaze

A fire which has gutted parts of a Co Antrim church is being treated as arson.

On Sunday evening, nine firefighting appliances - including an aerial appliance - and 49 firefighters attended the blaze at Greenisland Church of Ireland in the Station Road area of the town

Photographs from the scene show substantial damage to the church hall, where a section of the roof was destroyed in the blaze, which began around 9pm on Sunday night.

In a statement, police confirmed they are treating the blaze as arson and are appealing for information.

Inspector Knowles said: "At approximately 9.10pm, we received a report of a fire at the property on the Station Road.

"Officers along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire Service attended and the blaze was extinguished.

"The Church was celebrating its 70th anniversary this week, and last night was busy in particular. Thankfully no one was injured, however a significant amount of damage was caused to both buildings.

"We are treating this as arson and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1437 of 01/09/24.

Just a month ago, an industrial site in Dublin had been repeatedly hit by arsonists: Huge fire at industrial unit in Dublin sends smoke billowing across city, site repeatedly hit by arson in last month

Speaking about the fire, Reverend Issy Hawthorne-Steele said: "It's absolutely devastating, it's a shock. Most of the people are all in shock.

"Unbelievable that we have had such a weekend of celebration and then to hear that the church is on fire has been unspeakably awful, hard to take in."

They added that the cause of fire was not yet determined

In a statement issued via its Facebook page last night, the church said nobody had been hurt during the incident.

"It started at the back of the building and as I write the fire crews are desperately trying to stop it from spreading to the whole building. Please pray.

"We are just so thankful that the building was empty and nobody has been hurt."

In a further update, the church said the roof of its hall and parish centre was "gone".

East Antrim MLA John Stewart said news of the fire was "deeply concerning".

"I truly hope that no one has been injured and that damage will be limited but the scenes are very worrying indeed," he said.

"It does look like the hall has been completely destroyed, unfortunately. There was a big community fun day and services throughout the weekend... so it's just a horrible end to a fantastic weekend."
In recent years there has been a steady increase of fires at religious buildings, mostly Christian churches, across Europe, and often with no obvious cause.

For example, in January 2023, there were 3 church fires in Paris. At least one of those fires was believed to be 'deliberate'. Two weeks later in London a heritage-listed church was completely destroyed by fire, the cause was 'under investigation'.

There are many, many more examples. And, whilst the thread connecting those fires seems relatively obvious - they're churches - it should also be noted that other historic and cultural structures have also fallen victim to unexplained fires, too. Such as the 16th April 2024 fire at Copenhagen's stock exchange, which threatened numerous valuable paintings, and again, the cause was unknown.

This incident was particularly notable, because, as one bystander cried, "This is our Notre-Dame", and coincidentally, or perhaps not, the stock exchange fire had occurred the day after the 5th anniversary of the the Notre-Dame Paris fire.

Whilst not every unexplained church fire should be supposed to be arson, given the sheer number of unexplained fires, their geographic extent, and the number of years this has been going on for, there certainly is reason to believe that there's a targeted arson campaign afoot. The reasons for which may be multifaceted, including cultural destruction, as well as social division.

Given that there is an element of organised criminality to this, and how it feeds into a number of deep state agendas, it seems reasonable to assume that deep state actors are involved in some manner.

And that's why these recent fires are all the more concerning, because, in recent months, the Western establishment has been rather blatant in its attempts to ignite the boiling societal discontent. Discontent which has largely been brought about by their decade-long weaponised mass migration agenda. And it's quite clear that governments are using these outbreaks of unrest, and the subsequent crackdown, to their advantage:

'You're rich as f***'!

Podcast giant Joe Rogan slammed billionaire Oprah Winfrey and former first lady Michelle Obama this week for discussing incoming inequality at the Democratic National Convention, noting the sheer hypocrisy of the situation.

Rogan made the remarks during his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast this week while discussing some of the lunacy that unfolded at the DNC.

"How about Oprah?" Rogan said. "Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she's speaking to the DNC that he's a threat to democracy and she's up there talking about income inequality, like, 'Hey lady — you're rich as f***!' I'm like, 'How is that equal?'"

'The immigration crisis is first and foremost a crime crisis' - Police union boss says Germany is no longer safe, Islam the biggest threat

Osstemann

In what is increasingly becoming a PR disaster for the far-left German government, the terror knife attack in Solingen, perpetrated by a Syrian national, is highlighting the unavoidable connection between immigration and exploding crime and violence. In the wake of the attack, German police union (DPoIG) chairman Manuel Ostermann slammed the status quo, called the immigration problems a crime problem, and said Islam was the greatest threat to the country in terms of security.

Ostermann said in a video statement:
"Yes, our country has changed. Nothing about it is positive. Germany is no longer a safe country. We have a massive problem with knife crime. The migration crisis is first and foremost a crime crisis. And the greatest danger to life and limb of people living in Germany is clearly posed by Islamists. This reality can no longer be ignored or tabooed. Now is the time to recognize reality and implement clear measures in the constitutional fight against precisely this security policy madness."

Comment: The biggest threat is what Germany's government is willing to do to comply with the Globalist Agenda.

Disgraced Lincoln Project demanding prosecution for alleged RFK-Trump endorsement deal

Comment: Yep, the Lincoln Project is still around . . . .

I have to give AP reader Jim Marlowe credit for pointing out the likely reason Trump has yet to announce a specific cabinet post for RFK Jr., although one appears to be in the cards: they would be targeted via lawfare by the Democrats and their Deep State clients.

Given that trading endorsements (and often straight-up cash as campaign donations) for cabinet posts, ambassadorships, etc. is standard operating procedure in The Swamp, I didn't think they could sink so low in their double standards (and expose themselves to future retaliation for the same thing) as to bring these charges forward — under statutes never once used in American history, at that.

But I should have expected it, because they have no shame and the RFK Jr.-Trump alignment scares the hell out of them.

Comment: On the sordid Lincoln Project organization: The link about Killary and Obama is to a 2016 Daily Mail article focused on Colin Powell's views on the hag. Well worth the read for a peek on the inside of that administration. It's not pretty.

Revenge of the colonized? Gas-rich Algeria could now control Europe

Algiers is now playing an increasingly important role in ensuring EU energy security and is itself moving toward economic sovereignty

In the spring of 2022, at the height of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the EU began thinking about abandoning Russian gas supplies and reducing energy consumption as much as possible. EU countries began looking elsewhere, and one of the places they focused their attention on was Algeria.

Now, two years later, Algeria is the largest pipeline gas supplier to the EU and continues to occupy the leading position in Africa in natural gas production and exports. But its position in a number of international issues is now posing a threat to supplies to Europe, and the countries of the European Mediterranean have to compromise in their foreign policy in order not to lose such an important source of energy.

250,000 Israelis protest demanding a ceasefire, union calls for general strike, after 6 more hostages were killed by IDF attacks on Gaza

Angry demonstrators stage mass protests demanding ceasefire deal as Israel's largest trade union calls for a general strike on Monday.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have hit the streets demanding a ceasefire deal and Israel's main labour union has called for a strike after six more captives were found dead in Gaza.

Comment: Times of Israel reports the number of protesters was estimated to be at least 280,000. As for the captives, as the following article details, they were likely killed during attacks by the IDF: Bodies of 6 Israeli captives retrieved from Gaza likely killed by Israel

Scuffles between the protesters and security forces were reported on Sunday night in one of the largest anti-government demonstrations in Israel since the Gaza war began nearly 11 months ago.

Comment: It's little wonder that both Israel, and the Kiev-junta, are in race to bring about regional conflagrations, and drag in their backers in the West, because otherwise they're facing a total failure on the battlefield, and self-created economic, governmental, and societal, implosion:

Jeff Walz believes VP hopeful is not 'type of character' who should make decisions about US' future

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is not the "type of character" who should make decisions about America's future, his older brother warned in a series of damning Facebook comments this week.

"I'm 100% opposed to all his ideology," Jeff Walz declared Friday evening about the far-left Minnesota governor and running mate of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

And he has so little faith in his kid brother, Jeff Walz is now considering publicly endorsing former President Trump's White House run, he told a Facebook poster who urged him to "Get on stage with President Trump and endorse him."

"I've thought long and hard about doing something like that! I'm torn between that and just keeping my family out of it," the 67-year-old Floridian wrote in a response which notched 449 likes.
