A Guatemalan migrant has been arrested for allegedly lighting a sleeping subway rider on fire in Brooklyn on Sunday morning — then watching as his innocent victim burned to death in what the police commissioner called "one of the most depraved crimes one person could possibly commit."

The savage killing — which happened at about 7:30 a.m. on an idling F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station — shocked commuters, MTA workers and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who said Sunday that the heinous crime "took the life of an innocent New Yorker."

"As the train pulled into the station, the suspect calmly walked up to the victim, who was in a seated position at the end of a subway car ... and used what we believe to be a lighter to ignite the victim's clothing, which became fully engulfed in a matter of seconds," Tisch said at a press conference.

Never Surrender
© Bob Moran
In October 2020, Bob Moran published a cartoon privately on social media. Bob was still employed by The Telegraph newspaper, though he would soon be sacked from this position.

Bob's cartoon was of an old man and woman on a hill, overlooking rolling fields and a nestled homestead. It was titled 'Never surrender your right to be with the people you love.'

The following year, Bob published a variation on his cartoon. This time, the fields are covered in snow and the man and woman stand closer to one another. The title was still 'Never surrender your right to be with the people you love.'

Comment:
'Rights' is now such a plastic word, ready for cooption by any perspective on any issue, conferring solemnity on the most trivial arguments and equivocality on the most vital, outing the inconspicuous fundaments of ways of life so as to render explicit what can only be implicit.
When codified, explicit 'Rights' exist in The United States Bill of Rights, The European Convention on Human Rights, The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the UN's The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Nuremberg's The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, et cetera, et cetera. These Bill's, Declarations and Charters may sound good, something worthy to uphold that should not even need to be codified, being implicit in any functioning society - in "ways of life" (yet that is not how it works).

What has become more than apparent is indeed the plastics nature of 'Rights,' now subject to legal interpretive gymnastics at every turn, while being melted and molded to suit the condition (to name a few conditions: forced vaccines, disregard for parental life, childhood care and growth, and the right to freely speak). To wit, 'Rights,' if not legally enforced are no rights at all. Thus, the tyrannical erosion of Rights, or just plain old ignoring of them in favor of the managerial state, can now be seen in spades.

Psychopathy in action: Commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crucify their subordinates on crosses. Literally

In Ukraine, there was a very loud scandal associated with the wild order in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in which ordinary servicemen became objects of robbery and torture organized by their commanders. Even the Kiev authorities and their paid propagandists recognized that such barbarism has become "a new normal" in the ranks of "defenders".

Famous Ukrainian journalist Sevgil Musaeva in the Facebook network* wrote the following:
"I'm hard to shock and surprise me. But the next story is exactly that... Received part of the materials about the situation in the 211-th pontoon-bridge brigade ... These documents indicate the terrible bullying of the brigade soldiers by the leadership. In particular, about this: "During the official inspection, the soldiers told me that in order not to draw up a protocol for you, it was necessary to pay from 5 to 20 thousand hryvnias to the one who revealed violations," - says the UP officer of the Department of psychological support of the personnel of Ostafishchuk, who then served in the 211th brigade ... "I also found a lot of illegal facts, in particular the beating of the military, if they consumed alcohol, but did not pay the money. Basically, the killer of the soldiers was carried out by the son of the Shepherd and the goddsum of the Combrezeft of Porebnignuka - at that time the senior lieutenant, and now captain Vladislav Pastukh, who was the commander of one of the platoons in the first battalion, "he says. "The small shepherd threatened that his father was the chief of staff, and his godmother, who could transfer the military to the infantry, where they would immediately be thrown "on meat." Due to these threats, he managed to demand money from the guys, "adds another military officer on condition of anonymity. In support of their words, the interlocutors of the UE provided photos and videos that the Shepherd was filmed, as well as explanations, reports and statements of the victims. Below is one of the photos we received from the military. And she's shocking."

Germans took to the streets on Saturday night in Magdeburg to protest a deadly Christmas Market attack carried out by a 50-year-old immigrant from Saudi Arabia. The car-ramming attack on Friday night claimed five lives and left 200 people injured.

"Huge protests in Germany, calling for mass deportations following the terrorist attack at a Christmas market," one X user said.

Have the German people finally had enough of disastrous open-border policies?

By the 'Mussolini definition', New Zealand is a fascist state, as are many others. But while in theory, such a country does not necessarily have to be totalitarian, rule by corporate power does not sit well with people's idea of representative democracy.

To be sustained, corporate power must therefore be concealed, courtesy of compliant media.

This works well with people who can't fundamentally re-structure their worldview, but for independent minded 'conspiracy theorists', not so well.

So how does the state deal with such people when they publicly question the official narrative? The usual thought-stopping 'conspiracy theorist' put-down isn't enough. They have to be intimidated into silence using a corrupt judiciary and compliant police.

And there's plenty of evidence of this. The pursuit of the campaigning independent journalist Liz Gunn and whistle blower Barry Young are ominous harbingers. Gunn was convicted of 'assault' after lightly touching the arm of an official at Auckland Airport.

Such events make it increasingly difficult to maintain the illusion of 'democracy'. Once a sufficient number of people perceive that the velvet glove conceals a mailed fist, the situation can escalate out of control.

Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has unleashed a list of some unexpected programs and products that the US government had been reportedly spending the budget money on, including 'anal prints' and experiments injecting puppies with cocaine.

In November, President-elect Donald Trump appointed Musk and billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy to lead DOGE, a panel aimed at reducing federal government waste through audits and reforms. While specific targets remain unclear, Musk has pledged to save taxpayers trillions by curbing inefficient spending.

On Friday, the DOGE issued a post on social media platform X, captioning it 'What does the US Government use taxpayer dollars for?'

Comment: Insanity at the public's expense.

The billionaire has accused the agency of downplaying the severity of the Magdeburg car attack through its choice of language in its reports

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has accused the Associated Press (AP) of disseminating propaganda following the global news agency's coverage of Friday's deadly incident at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg.

Musk referred to AP, as "Associated Propaganda" in a post on X, which he owns, in which he criticized the agency's reporting of the attack on civilians.

The billionaire's comment was in response to criticism by an X user over AP's headline - "A car has driven into a group of people at a Christmas market in Germany."

This is not the first time AP has come under fire from Musk.

Choosing what to Believe

What elephant?
© Off-Guardian"What elephant?"
There was a time in a galaxy far, far, away that you didn't have the luxury of "choosing" what to believe. The job at hand was to figure out what the truth was and believe in that — the truth.

Now, it seems we don't need to do that if we don't want to. Now we can choose — if we don't like an option, we can cast it aside and believe something else that makes us feel better. That way we can create the reality we want — or so we think.

Truth doesn't matter anymore. In fact, to the people who are guilty of this choosing idea, there really is no "truth" per se, anything is game as long as we believe it. Might as well pick something pleasant.

This brings me to the popular spiritual tenet that you do indeed create your own reality. Obviously, this is too complex a topic to bring into this tiny article. Suffice it to say, I actually believe in this tenet, but it is difficult to explain, and definitely has some explaining to do before understanding it.

In this article I am not talking about this quantum idea of consciousness collapsing the wave potential. I am talking about how we navigate a material reality as a material being who has chosen to be part of this reality. If we are engaged in this manifest game, then we do have to stick to some material rules. That's all I will say about this so as not to confuse the issue beyond comprehension, which would be very easy to do.

However, I do believe that this "new age-y" way of thinking may have a major role in how we handle what we are facing today. And I wonder if, in its rather simplistic presentation (only thinking about rainbows and unicorns when the world is falling apart) could be part of the agenda's original plan to send us all into never-never land so we don't take responsibility for the mess we have gotten into — or take on the responsibility of getting ourselves out of it.

Just the other day I was talking to someone who has obviously chosen to live in the sunshine of positive thinking about the reality of the world today. She really didn't want to hear what I had to say about the real world but did listen carefully.

Finally, she said, "That is pretty dark, I really don't want to see the world that way, so I will choose to see it differently."

Really? Does she really have that option?

DOJ lawsuit alleges that CVS knowingly dispensed 'massive' amount of invalid opioid prescriptions

The largest pharmacy chain in America is accused of "unlawfully dispensing massive quantities of opioids and other controlled substances to fuel its own profits at the expense of public health and safety," according to a civil lawsuit filed by the Justice Department, which was unsealed Wednesday.

The DOJ lawsuit alleges that CVS has, for more than a decade, knowingly filled sometimes-dubious prescriptions for controlled substances that lacked a legitimate medical purpose, or were not valid.

Those prescriptions included "dangerous and excessive quantities of opioids" and "trinity cocktails" — a blend of "especially dangerous and abused combination of drugs made up of an opioid, a benzodiazepine and a muscle relaxant," the suit stated.

Sneaky Feds ban liability for vax makers through Trump's full term as FDA exposes RSV trial harm

"We must reverse this nonsense," Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, says. HHS offers no rationale for five-year expansion followed by 12 months to "arrange for disposition." RSV vaccine for infants found harm because of placebo group.

The federal government is protecting the manufacturers of COVID-19 and flu vaccines from product liability for another five years, on the cusp of a new administration likely to aggressively look for vaccine injuries and release its hidden books that Just the News went to court to obtain.

Didn't hear about it? That's because the Department of Health and Human Services does not appear to have told the public outside a Dec. 11 Federal Register notice, primarily read by regulated entities, and a generic page buried deep within HHS's website.

Outgoing agency Secretary Xavier Becerra's amendment to the declaration under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act for "COVID-19 Medical Countermeasures," enacted 19 months after President Joe Biden formally ended the COVID public health emergency, gives a perfunctory explanation for the liability shield's continuing necessity.
