People will need to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus in order to travel between countries "for evermore", the UK transport secretary has warned.

The comments from Grant Shapps suggest the pandemic will permanently alter the way people travel, and that the airline and tourism industries will have to adapt to extra bureaucracy and checks when people cross borders indefinitely.

He said the pandemic had created a "new world" and that he expected countries to require passengers to be fully vaccinated before travel.

"I think double vaccination or full vaccination is going to be a feature for evermore, and most countries, probably all countries, will require full vaccination for you to enter," he told BBC radio on Thursday.

Shapps also urged more young adults to come forward to be vaccinated, warning they would not be able to travel without it.

Woke media goes to work: New Obama doc is race-obsessed establishment pablum to distract from the nefarious nature of American governance

The dull and derivative docuseries chooses hagiography over history and style over substance as it whitewashes the sins of America's only black president.

Obama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union is the new three-part HBO documentary that sets out to chronicle Barack Obama's rise from obscurity to the highest office in the land.

The roughly five-hour series, which features no new interview with Obama but rather relies on archival footage and a plethora of sycophantic talking heads, premiered on HBO on August 3, and on HBO Max on August 4, the former president's 60th birthday. What do you get the man who has everything for his birthday? If you're director Peter W. Kunhardt, you give the gift of a shamelessly reverential, hagiographic documentary.

A high school custodian in Medford, Oregon, has been arrested for allegedly planning a mass shooting.

The Medford Police Department said in a press release that 24-year-old Kristopher Clay came to the police station on July 20 saying he was having "homicidal thoughts" that he planned to act on.

Clay, a custodian at South Medford High School, was then taken by an officer to the Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center's Behavioral Health Unit.

Jackson County authorities started an investigation, and they found that Clay was in possession of firearms, ammunition, tactical gear and written material. Police said Clay got the weapons through various channels, as he wasn't allowed to possess firearms due to a court order.

"The investigation indicated Clay made significant steps to carry out a mass casualty event," the police department said.

Clay was arrested on August 4. He has been charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, attempted unlawful use of a weapon, tampering with evidence and disorderly conduct. He has no prior convictions.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra fires flutist, who spread "conspiracy theories", for violating suspension by bringing new W-4

Emily Skala

A flutist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra who was publicly rebuked for her conspiracy-laden social media posts has been fired from the prestigious group.

Emily Skala, whose posts on COVID-19 and November's presidential election led the orchestra to distance itself from her in February, was terminated as its principal flutist Tuesday in accordance with its "progressive discipline policy," the Baltimore Sun reported.

"Ms. Skala has had discipline imposed upon her over these past few months," BSO's president and CEO, Peter Kjome, said in a statement. "Unfortunately, she has repeated the conduct for which she had been previously disciplined, and dismissal was the necessary and appropriate reaction to this behavior."

Skala said she was fired Tuesday after 33 years in her role.

"I've only ever wanted to state my truth," Skala, 59, told the newspaper. "I'm not going to publicize what I'm going to do, but I'm not going to sit passively by. The BSO can expect to hear from me."

A BSO spokeswoman confirmed to The Post Wednesday that Skala had been terminated, but said she had no additional information to provide beyond its statement, citing internal personnel matters.

European gas prices jump to record highs amid drop in deliveries from Russia

Natural gas prices spiked in Europe on Friday after an accident at the Gazprom plant in Russia forced the company to cut its supply to European underground storage facilities.

The cost of September futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands jumped to $546.3 per 1,000 cubic meters by 8:30am GMT, according to Intercontinental Exchange data.

The price hike follows a temporary decrease in gas deliveries from Russia through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline due to a fire that broke out at Russian energy giant Gazprom's Urengoy plant in Siberia. The fire was extinguished on August 5, but the volume of gas transferred from the facility has not yet been fully restored, with work on the site halted amid investigation procedures.

Wisconsin removes 205,000 voters from the rolls

Election officials in the battleground state of Wisconsin have removed more than 205,000 voters from the rolls as part of routine work to keep the state's registration lists as current as possible.

Conservatives filed lawsuits back in 2020 demanding that the Wisconsin Elections Commission remove voters from the rolls if they didn't respond to mailings within 30 days. Those lawsuits failed and Joe Biden took the state of Wisconsin over Donald Trump by about 20,000 votes.

On Wednesday, nearly nine months after the election, Wisconsin Commission officials deactivated 174,307 voter registrations because the voters hadn't cast a ballot in four years and didn't respond to a mailing. The commission also said they deactivated 31,854 registrations of voters who may have moved and didn't respond to a mailing.

But wait, it gets even worse.

Video footage of Israeli army firing on Palestinian family's car, killing 11-year-old boy, contradicts IOF story

New video footage of the moment that Israeli soldiers opened fire on a Palestinian family's car, killing their 11-year-old son, shows soldiers firing on the car as it was reversing, contradicting the army's previous accounts of the events.

Last week Israeli forces shot and killed 11-year-old Mohammed al-Alami while he was in his father's car with his two younger siblings, as the family were on their way home from grocery shopping in their town of Beit Ummar in the southern occupied West Bank.

At the time Israeli forces claimed that they attempted to stop the vehicle by firing warning shots in the air, and firing at the vehicle's tires. The accounts of Mohammed's father, and several eyewitnesses at the time contradicted the army's statement, and said that the soldiers sprayed the car with bullets "out of nowhere," and with no prior warning.

Twitterati blast 'woke outrage' after classic UK comedy tagged with advisory for 'outdated' attitudes: 'Take a joke'

Social media users have called out "retrospective woke outrage" after classic British sitcom 'Allo 'Allo' was hit with a viewer warning about potentially offensive "language and attitudes" in the popular show.

The BBC period comedy, which ran from 1982 to 1992, was centred around the various misadventures of an embattled French cafe-owner during WWII, whose business was both a front for the underground resistance and a favoured watering hole for occupying Nazi forces.

It featured a host of colourful characters speaking English in exaggerated German, French and Italian accents, and played on both British and European stereotypes. In addition to spawning still-popular catchphrases such as the greeting "Good Moaning," other running gags included bungled operations, double entendres and pantomime sexual humour.

CNN fires 3 unvaccinated staffers, gets mocked for 'zero-tolerance' policies that allow masturbation on Zoom call with colleagues

CNN is not only a leading promoter of Covid-19 orthodoxy, but also has put itself on the cutting edge of Covid-19 vaccine authoritarianism by firing three unidentified employees who came to work without getting their jabs first.

"In the past week, we have been made aware of three employees who were coming to the office unvaccinated," CNN president Jeff Zucker told staffers in a memo, which reporter Oliver Darcy posted Thursday on Twitter.
All three have been terminated. Let me be clear: We have a zero-tolerance policy on this.

Comment: Be prepared as these types of zero-tolerance policies make their way into more businesses and governments. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
