Media watchdog site Newsbud demands public retraction from NBC for unethical false reporting - Erdogan did NOT seek asylum in Germany

mainstream media propaganda NBC
Who is NBC's senior military official source responsible for yet-to-be-retracted false news?

On July 15, 2016, as an attempted coup unfolded in Turkey, a report began to circulate widely that Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had fled the country by air and was requesting asylum in Germany. The apparent origin of this report was NBC News. A tweet has also been cited in many articles from MSNBC Segment Producer, Kyle Griffin. Griffin's tweet stated, "senior US military source tells NBC News that Erdogan, refused landing rights in Istanbul, is reported to be seeking asylum in Germany."

This report was presented as factual, and was reported on by many different media outlets. Despite an intense public outcry, to date there has been no explanation, retraction or apology for it from NBC, MSNBC, or Kyle Griffin. We at Newsbud believe it is highly irresponsible and harmful to present and circulate a false report. Further, the public has the right to know how its mainstream news outlets such as NBC are being directly used by senior government Psyop actors to concoct and disseminate strategic false information. In this case, who is this Senior US Military Official cited as NBC's source for this proven-false Erdogan Asylum story?

Comment: Breaking news from Newsbud. Turkish Embassy demands public retraction of NBC false Erdogan asylum news story:

SOTT Focus: Writing on the wall for Erdogan: Align with Russia, Iran and Syria or Turkey's destruction awaits

turkey
Like it or not, this is what democracy looks like.
So, has everyone noticed what's going on? Has everyone taken stock of the 'brink' on which we now stand? July 2016 has been a month of absolute mayhem all over the world, with brutal and bloody terror attacks occurring almost everywhere - much of it no doubt organized and premeditated, and some of it 'spontaneous' madness resulting from the former. The main event, however, has undoubtedly been the attempted coup in Turkey, which was effectively an act of war by NATO's largest member-state against its second-largest.

What happened in Turkey on July 15th was clearly a US-sponsored/supported coup attempt, probably thwarted at the 11th hour by Russia in the form of intel and advice to Erdogan and Co. Do we expect the world's exceptional superpower to accept such impertinence? Unlikely. If there's one thing the global warmongers-in-chief have learned over the past 70 years, it's that they rule the world, and any nation with the temerity to stand in their way will be severely punished.

As Erdogan and friends go through the process of rooting out the NATO fifth columnists in Turkey (3 of the 5 Turkish army regiments that took part in the coup are part of NATO's Rapid Deployable Corps), unnamed British 'defence sources' are already floating the possibility of another coup: "If there is another coup attempt then civil war will follow. If that happens there will be a major international crisis," the source told British tabloid the Daily Star on Sunday.

"Civil war" and "major international crisis", i.e. just the kind of scenario on which US and British political psychopaths thrive and have lots of experience in manufacturing. If Erdogan has any sense, if he has learned anything about the true nature of Western powers over these last 9 months (and the decade he spent in power as prime minister before becoming president in 2014), he will be in no doubt about what he has to do next, and what awaits Turkey if he does not.

How Clinton and her moronic media promote Trump's campaign for free

Clinton's negative campaign against Trump, and the media leashed to her messages, are doing Trump a huge favor. Unless they can break away from their limited framework, stop their unintended advertising for Trump's campaign, they will propel him to victory.

Here is an example: Networks on Trump: A 'Dark Speech' From a 'Vengeful' 'Demagogue' - Newsbuster
The three networks on Thursday night immediately derided Donald Trump's "dark speech" as one coming from a "vengeful" "demagogue."
The "dark speech" theme was obviously a canned response by the Clinton campaign. Her independent media (not) dutifully repeated it over and over. But that negative "dark speech" theme, supposed to condemn Trump, only makes his point. (Isn't it amazing how Putin can compel all U.S. media to parrot the very same message?)

Anti-Corbyn billionaire Assem Allam urges rebel MPs to split Labour & form new party

Billionaire Labour donor Assem Allam has encouraged MPs opposed to party leader Jeremy Corbyn to defect and start a new party, after saying he will not support the embattled Labour chief or his leadership rival Owen Smith.

Businessman and Hull City football club owner Allam told reporters he had held conversations with several Labour representatives in the House of Commons when Corbyn first won the leadership race in September 2015.

Speaking about his meeting with four high-profile politicians, Allam told the Times: "They said, 'We agree with you, yes he will never win an election, yes he will never be a strong opposition leader โ€” but we want to leave it for a year.' Their view was, 'We don't want to rock the boat.' I said, 'You are not doing your party or democracy a favour.' I have been proved right, unfortunately."

Allam now wants all of those disagreeing with Corbyn to sever ties with the Labour Party entirely and start a new political project. "Now is the time. We missed a year and look at the damage that has happened in that time. At prime minister's questions they are taking the mickey out of [Corbyn]," he added.

Comment: Divide and conquer. The oldest trick in the book and it still works.

NATO's bid for global dominance may cause another 'Cuban missile crisis'

NATO Vaara

The policy of one-sided military dominance exercised by the US and its NATO allies could cause a major standoff similar to the Cuban missile crisis of the early 1960s, the head of the Russian Federation Council's International Affairs Committee has warned. Though the world is not currently facing the threat of a new nuclear crisis, Russia's opponents could make such a situation a reality, senator Konstantin Kosachev said in a major interview with popular daily Izvestia.

Kosachev noted that global security has passed through three stages and is currently at the beginning of a fourth period. The first stage took place in the 1950s and 1960s, when the national security of a state or group of states was secured by pure military dominance. Very soon this approach became universal and all major nations became involved in the arms race, perfecting their weapons systems and creating military blocs.

The second stage lasted throughout 1970s and 1980s, when nations understood the futility of their efforts to become the strongest and instead started to limit each other's military might through international treaties. This was the period of agreements securing the global balance of forces.

The third period started with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. In the Paris Charter of the 1990s, world powers agreed to maintain the logic of the second stage and build a common security system through avoiding standoffs and mutual threats, acting like equal partners.

However, instead of following the principles of the Paris Charter, the United States and its NATO allies have returned to the first stage and are now attempting to secure their safety through ultimate military dominance, Kosachev stated. NATO is expanding, and its members are continuously increasing their military budgets and developing new types of weapons.

Comment: The interesting thing about the cycle of dominance and evil -- the same or worse always seems to come around again, perhaps different players, different stage, nothing learned.

Foreign minister says Turkey-US ties will suffer unless US extradites Gulen

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that the ties with the US could turn sour unless Washington extradites cleric Gulen, who, according to Ankara, is behind the failed coup.

His statement comes ahead of his trip to the US, and he said he would discuss the relations with US officials during the visit.

Washington has repeatedly said that Turkey must give clear evidence of Gulen's link with the attempted coup before discussing any possible extradition. Lawyers have said the process, if launched, may take years.

Comment: Funny, the Afghan Taliban refused to give up Osama bin Laden over the same issue of the U.S. providing evidence of bin Laden's involvement in 9/11. Look what happen to them. 'Rule of law' doesn't apply when the US makes the demands.

Cavusoglu also said Turkey may remove some ambassadors linked to the coup attempt.

On Friday Wikileaks released nearly 20,000 hacked emails it says are from the accounts of Democratic National Committee officials.

The documents were released just days before the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia.

The hacked emails revealed the DNC's hatred for Bernie Sanders and his movement. The documents reveal the party's hidden ties with the liberal media. The emails reveal the heights of dishonesty of the party infrastructure.

Now there is a list of a few of the most shocking emails released by Wikileaks.

The list was compiled thanks to the work of Reddit Bernie Sander supporters and Donald Trump supporters:

Chinese FM warns South Korea to think twice about deploying US THAADs - South Koreans protest against joining Empire's missile shield

thaad

China's foreign minister has warned South Korea against deploying American THAAD missile defense complexes, saying it would harm the "foundation of mutual trust." Beijing holds the US responsible for upsetting the strategic balance in the region.

The deployment of the advanced Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile systems announced by South Korea on July 8 has forced China to put the question point-blank and demand that Seoul makes a choice of having good relations with either Beijing or Washington.

Seoul and Washington have insisted that THAAD systems in South Korea would counter North Korean ballistic missiles.

"The recent move by the South Korean side has harmed the foundation of mutual trust between the two countries," Reuters cited Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as telling his South Korean counterpart, Yun Byung-se.

Comment: You won't read about it in the Western or even South Korean media, but South Koreans don't want THAAD in their country:
The National THAAD Countermeasure Council (preparing committee) held a peaceful gathering that demands to lift the THAAD deployment decision on the 16th at Cheonggye Plaza.

At the gathering, representatives from various civic organizations gave speeches against the THAAD deployment. Despite the heavy rain, the citizens who gathered for the gathering marched to the US Embassy after the gathering, expressing their willfulness to demand the lift of the THAAD deployment decision.

Choi Jong Jin, the acting chairman to the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, said in his speech, "We now are here to show that the opposition against the THAAD deployment is the will of the whole Korean people, not just that of Seongju [where the missile shield is to be deployed] residents. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions will be in the center of the struggle to block up the THAAD deployment which threatens peace in Northeast Asia and makes the conditions of the Korean economy even more difficult."

Park Seok Woon, the Korean Alliance of Progressive Movements co-chairman, insisted, "It has already been proved that the THAAD cannot intercept the Northern missiles. We do have to block up the THAAD deployment that makes the Korean Peninsula the arena of military competition toward the new cold war."
If THAAD goes forward, Russia and China may end up setting up their own anti-missile defense.

Turkey issues detention for 42 journalists with suspected connections to failed coup; 5000 Health Ministry employees dismissed

The Turkish government has issued detention warrants for 42 journalists suspected of having links to the failed military coup on July 15, NTV reported Monday. So far the authorities have detained and placed under investigation some 60,000 people. According to the broadcaster, the list includes renowned national media figures such as commentator and former MP Nazli Ilicak, Reuters reports.

As of Sunday, a total of 13,165 people have been detained in connection to the foiled coup attempt, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. The leader specified that 8,838 of those arrested are soldiers, 2,101 are judges and prosecutors, 1,485 are police officers, 52 are local authorities and 689 are civilians, the Hurriyet daily reported.

A joint indictment of 73 suspects, including US-based preacher Fetullah Gulen, was approved by an Ankara court on Saturday. The suspects are accused of having links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), alleged to be behind the coup attempt, a Turkish judicial official told Anadolu Agency.

Comment: Turkey hasn't had the best record on how they has treated their press. However, the latest events show that their behavior is not just black and white. Erdogan has acted irrationally (or at the very least, seemingly harshly) in the past, but his paranoia was also quite apparently justified. Western powers attempting to overthrow governments have always used the infiltration of media to disparage their targets and drum up support for their cause. Turkey is cleaning house, and the coming weeks and months will likely show that this coup attempt was just the beginning.

The latest added to the tally: 5000 employees of the Ministry of Health.

The Syrian Army has taken control of strategic points along the line of an oil pipeline in al-Badia.

The Syrian Army troops and units of the National Defense have jointly continued to move eastward into the desert area of al-Salamiyah, taking control of strategic points along the oil pipeline, which was under the control of Daesh terrorists.

In recent days, in the east of the city, fierce fighting between Syrian government forces and Daesh was ongoing.

The battle raged for the opening of the front to the east of al-Salamiyah, after government forces drove the Daesh militants from Palmyra and al-Sukhnah.
